Installed these in the front doors of a 2017 f-150. Have much improved clarity and bass over the factor paper 6x9’s. Initial quality out of the box looked good, and the supplied hardware and wiring worked well. After installation, one speaker worked great, exactly as it should. The other speaker however, had a horrible rattle as if it were blown. Further inspection revealed that the area where the center of the woofer cone meets the stem of the tweeters was rubbing and creating friction and the terrible rattling noise. Some massaging of the cone with a pick and screwdriver fixed the clearance issue, but I was a little disappointed that I had to fix it at all. Overall good speakers for the money, but test your speakers first before installing.

Great sound easy installation, and great service at the best buy store. We had the item in stock at the store and the sales fellow was very, very helpful. We definitely use best. Buy again for sound equipment.

I have heard of Kicker, and this is the first pair of kickers i have ever owned. I had JBL Stage 6x8 speakers and they didnt sound that great. I couldn’t hear the highs very well. When I purchased these 6x8 Kicker speakers for my 2008 Ford Focus, i was blown away by the sound quality. I can hear the highs and the lows! I love these speakers and i would definitely buy them again!

For this review I'll have two sections. One for the product which is the main review and the other will be my experience as a first time buyer doing my own installation.. So as far as the product goes I was replacing the original speakers of my vehicle because there would be crackling noise at times and it was getting annoying. I get a nice volume out of these and I'm still using the original vehicle receiver. I did notice that the higher frequencies are a bit loud. I slightly notched that down on the EQ. I also noticed that there was some bass missing. I felt like it was maybe tight but not as punchy as my previous speakers. There are some songs I played in which I thought the bass sounded alright and I know my ears will eventually get used to it. I did boost the bass some on the EQ by a lot to see how it sounded but then I cut it down to leave just a small boost because I couldn't tell much difference. So for my experience, which doesn't affect my rating, this is just for people who are looking into replacing your speakers and maybe it's your first time like mine. I did some research online to see what size speakers mine were. Everywhere I went it said that my original speakers were 6x9. So initially I bought a pair of 6x9. They were also kickers and they looked really nice. Unfortunately, when I took my door apart, I noticed my car speakers were smaller. They weren't going to fit the speaker plate. And to find one exactly for my vehicle was going to be very difficult. So if this is your first time replacing speakers make time to check your vehicle and verify the actual size before buying. Thankfully, best buy accepted my return and allowed me to switch them for this set of speakers. I also ordered a speaker harness connector. They should've worked but I've no idea why it didn't so I had to solder the speaker cables onto the speaker plate so I could use the connector from that plate like the original speakers were installed. But it's worth trying to see if you need a speaker harness too and that it works before you solder anything. Well anyways, this review might get lost in the sea of reviews but if it helps somebody out then it's worth it. If you really want bass then I would suggest looking for other speakers. But if you are planning on maybe installing a sub then it won't matter much because these will take care of the middle and higher frequencies (especially the highs).

I had these speakers installed just a few weeks ago and I have to say I am amazed of how much of a difference it has made in my car. I love how loud the speakers are and the speakers have some pretty good bass to them. I do not own a system but it kinda sounds like I have one in my car. I am very pleased with my purchase and the gentleman that installed my stereo and speakers was very polite and freindly, he provided awesome customer service.

Very nice speakers very nice base I put these 2 in my front door panels and now I’m getting 2 more for my back deck of my car it’s going to be super loud!!

These KICKER speakers were the perfect replacement for the busted factory speakers in my car. The sound is clear and crisp with a solid bass for a 2-way setup. No issues at all with installation—everything fit perfectly. Definitely a big improvement over the originals, and they look sharp with the yellow/black design. Great value and performance!

Purchased an Alpine ILX W650 and placed these Kickers CSC 68 speakers in rear panel directly behind me and the Polk Audios DB572 up front. Kickers have a full, low, bass sound that is appreciated and compliment the better highs Polk Audio DB 572 put out. $61.00 was a fantastic deal. Rock Out!!

I’m an audiophile, and any bad reviews on these speakers just don’t hold up. Bought these after finding a true lack of bass from my 6x9 JL Audio speakers. These definitely fill in the gap where the bass was missing! The miss and highs are great as well, no complaints at all. The detail in the highs is wonderful. For reference I am running a Pioneer amp GM-D9705 (75 watts per channel RMS) with the Pioneer Sound Processor, and AudioControl LC7i in a 2018 Dodge Challenger. If you give these the right power/environment you should thoroughly enjoy them!!

All of.my speakers were blown except one. Once they were installed by the Geek Squad at Best Buy in San Antonio at rhe forum, my car felt whole again. The sound is clear, amazing, and balanced. Great speakers‼️ Highly recommend 9/10

Kickers CS line has been overall the best duo going wioth the 6 1/2 and 6x9 combo for the last two years out of all the combos I have tried ranging from Pioneers D series, Alpines R series, MB Quartz and Audio control for literally less than half the price alone for front and back where you would only be getting your door speakers for one of the other selections i listed. No brainer Kicker is kicking the competition away at a fraction of the price!

Used these to replace the 6x9 speakers in my 2008 Nissan Xterra. The sound amazing. Made a dramatic improvement right off the bat. I went back and purchased the 6.5 speaker to put in my rear doors. Very affordable and completely worth the price. Easy to install as the holes all lined up with the existing holes. Highly recommend these speakers.

So, for the price I paid I can’t complain! I needed four 6x9’s due to my factory door speakers being just absolutely thrashed! A quick search online and I found the bolt locations so decided to tackle the job myself. The Metra factory styled quick connectors made swapping these speakers an absolute breeze! All four speakers replaced within one hour. I’m partial to the Kicker brand so picked these up and they sound WAY better than the cheap paper coned factory speakers. Big difference! Crisp sound quality of the mids and highs, and a decent amount of bass, too, for what they are. I would absolutely recommend as a great factory replacement speaker!

They work great out of the box. Sound fine without an amp, I will be adding an amplifier soon to reach their full potential.
