not much better than the stock speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these as fathers day upgrades for my dad's 01 forester's front speakers. Their powered by a pioneer receiver. They have more high frequency response than the full-range drivers they replaced but the bass response is pretty wimpy and distorts easily if you like to turn it up or like bass heavy music such as reggae or rap. Your better off spending more with something name brand like Polk, JBL or Alpine if your a serious listener.

Bad Service

Open new speakers to find one speaker was busted from factory, probably from packaging with the screws, connectors, etc under speaker. Took back the one set for exchange (about 1 hour round trip), but they put back on a card instead after I requested exchange only! Usually takes days to show up return on card. They wanted to charge card again. I would be charged for 3 sets of speakers until return showed up on card. So, I requested a 10% discount from manager for all the trouble (approx. $5.50) and was denied!! So these speakers received 1 star due to Best Buy's service!! So I went back home and back to store to return 2nd set of speakers that I had purchased! I have spent 1000$ of dollars at Best Buy!!

factory speakers sounded better
