I installed this subwoofer by myself after research. It’s fairly easy install. First time doing it. For my 2020 VW Atlas I don’t have to use the blue remote wire. The amp can detect the power thru the speaker signal. The sound quality is great! It’s not going to shatter your car or glass. It’s a decent bass. It’s a big difference how my Non- Fender sound system. I like how compact the size without sacrificing the cargo space! I tuck it under the spare tire.

This sounds amazing! It won't rattle the window but packs a great punch for its size and fits nicely under the passenger seat of my Jeep Wrangler. This will add nice depth to just about any type of music you are listening to. I love the separate control knob too, which allows quick easy adjustment to bass level based on what you are listening to.

Awesome unit. Got it for tight spaces. Really thumps!!! Just remember to turn up the remote dial once you install it cause you may think it's defective, but it is actually just turned down from the factory.

I have a 2004 Ford Super Duty quad cab and the stock stereo and speakers were not up to a music lovers standards. I have searched for a couple years for a sub box that would fit this truck. They have plenty on the market that say they fit, but I am here to tell you most of them don't. They either push the speakers up against the back of the seat so the speaker does not have room to operate correctly or you have to remove a functional part of your truck to get them in. This is not an option for most that have super duty trucks because we actually use them. With this kicker/Amp combo unit it fits behind my seat and has plenty of room. I installed it on the passenger side just over the jack with the strap. I must say in the cab of my truck this thing is amazing. I keep my gain almost all the way down and it still evens out the sound from the 4 new Kenwood speakers that replaced the stock speakers. Very happy! My kids think its great that they have vibrating seats now too! Buy it you will like it!

Great value, had it I stalled at Best Buy (cheaper then local shops) and I recommend it specially if your under warranty still best to have reputable company install it. Fits just fine under seat in my Elantra with passenger seat lifted mid ways Compliments my stock speakers perfect, easy to use and adjust

The installer was very helpful and informative. Just the perfect amount of bass to have my 2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5 sounding right!

Compacrt Kicker bass box with easy install. It's small enough to fit in many places in a car or especially a truck. The bass is decent, but it definitely does not sound like the bigger $1k+ subwoofer set ups, but better then stock 5x8 speakers. This is good for the person who wants a little bit more bass but doesn't want to annoy neighbors.

I was going back and forth between this Kicker hideaway and a cheaper underseat enclosed sub and amp from a competitor. I decided to save a few buck and but the cheaper since I wanted just to add a bit of thump/bass to my 2022 Honda Civic sport who owns knows what I’m talking about. Buying the cheaper route was a mistake, sound was horrible so I regretted my buy and bit the bulet and purchased this kicker hideaway. The difference was like night and day. The quality of the kicker hideaway was top notch. The setting in low input and bass on low was enough for me and exactly what i wanted. The install was quite easy being I have no experience installing any stero equipment. I will add pictures of my clean install later.

I went back and forth over matching an amp with a sub, but realized that neither would fit well in my Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I imagined I needed more power that this product would offer, but I was wrong. I put this under the driver's seat and it does exactly what I hoped. Packs a serious punch, but doesn't rattle the windows or make a nuisance down the street. The boom will be felt and enjoyed. Great decision because of the cost, ease of installation, quality, and sound.

Perfect hideaway subwoofer for getting space back, Always have to take my subwoofer box out when I go on vacation so I lose all of my bass. Put this in under the passenger seat will probably move to the back because it has a lot of bass for the size of the package and rattles person in the seat. Sounds really good. But does get distorted on some songs when volume is turned up all the way.

I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra double cab with the entune plus system(no nav). After lots of consideration and research I went with the Kicker Hideaway and am very pleased with it. I had it installed at the local Best Buy here. The install could have went a little better but after calling Kicker support got it dialed in just right. I had it installed in the storage tray under the rear seat on the driver's side. Sounds great!

I wanted a subwoofer that went under my seat so I could utilize all of my truck space. If you want a door-thumping subwoofer that rattles your neighborhood, this is NOT the sub for you; no hideaway sub is going to blow you away. But if you're like me and still want some bump, it's a great package. It gives a conservative amount of bass without being overbearing. It's perfect for someone like me who only wanted to add a little more low end. I suggest you put it under your driver's seat to feel or more. Only real downside is the cost, preventing me from giving it 5 stars. Considering it's so compact and has its own amplifier, it's a great deal, but it still has a high price tag. I was fortunate to find an open box one for more than half off though. If you can find a sale or open box version, then jump on getting this sub.

I looked and looked and did research for hideaway subs. I don’t listen to much rap or hip hop so I do t need a big 12” booming system. I listen to classic and hard rock. Ac/dc, Metallica, Slayer, Led Zeppelin and so on. I find myself having to turn the volume down to 50% as it almost puts out to much bass. I wanted something to fill in the sound and make everything sound full. Boy was I surprised. The build quality is nice and tight, feels like it’s built really well and sounds great. I have it under the front passenger seat in my 2018 Ford Echo Sport. The price is a little high, but the quality of the build and sound show why it’s $300

A lot better than I expected. Needed some bottom end to round off my factory system & this delivered beautifully. What I really like (besides the sound) is that Kicker gives you the option to use a switched power source to turn the amp off/on or a high level (speaker wire) to trigger it which saved me some install time. You won't be disappointed if you get this.

I got this for a Mazda 3 and added it to the Bose package. I also substituted Kickers in the doors. Sub was installed in the trunk and it was great to save the space. It added some depth to the system but I ended up leaving the split seat down to get a more noticeable depth to the system. I then moved it onto the back seat right, where it made a real difference before trading in the vehicle a month or so after the original install. So now I have the 2013 Accord with Kickers added in the doors. I unplugged the sub from the Mazda, took out the screws holding the straps in place and left the wiring harness behind. Kicker shipped me a new harness for $35 and I had the hideaway installed under the passenger seat. Now it gives more than enough clear precise base and is totally out of the way and easy to adjust with the remote gain dial. Very happy with the versitility/mobility and would recommend finding a place for it in the passenger commpartment.

I have a 2015 nissan sentra s with the factory low quality head unit. Which i wanted to keep for its ease of use, factory integration, and stock look to deter theft. I have upgraded the rest of my system with a JL audio RD400 amp driving two kicker 6x9's in the rear deck and two kicker 6.5's in the doors. Due to the factory head unit rolling the bass off at higher volumes and the overall poor quality of compressed music files the system still lacked the depth of true sound. I watched this sub for a year and when it finally went on sale for 195.00 i bought it. Its hook up could not be simpler. I purchased two RCA y adapters and split the signal to the JL amp then cut one end off of the y adapters to connect to the kicker sub. After much time adjusting and more to go i can say this is a very nice unit and performs very well. It is not large enough in size or power to be in the trunk and perform so it is in the cab of my car. It does exactly what I need it to do. My one warning would be this.. if you in your youth have had two 12's and a large fosgate or anything like that, do your self a favor and realize from the beginning this is not that system. It is an 8 with a 150 watt amp in a small enclosure. Once you are honest about what it is and align your expectations with that you will not be upset. Thanks Kicker and Best buy for a great product at a great price.

My 1981 DeLorean has never sounded better! The acoustics are clear and Kick Box provides that solid boost of bass I was looking for! Many others recommended Kick Box so I knew I couldn’t go wrong, and you know what, they were totally right! Having worked in radio broadcasting I have worked in some of the best sounding studios in broadcasting. I needed a product that could perform, and the Kick Box was exactly what I needed to raise the bar in my classic car. Now, not only is she looking great, but sounding great too!!!

Easy install. Doesn't take up space. Fills the car with more than an acceptable thump. If you're somewhere between intolerance of stock and disdain window shattering rigs like I am, this little unit is for you.

Just installed my kicker hideaway I got a great open box deal on this sub after a few weeks of sitting in my house I finally got around to installing this sub. Although it looks easy enough to install it was not so simple even for someone who's installed car audio like myself running the power wire through the fire wall and directly to the battery was tricky and then the task of splicing the rear speaker wires and then adding additional wires was not overly difficult but plugging in a couple rca cables is much easier the sound quality is better than expected paired with a new Alpine ute 73 bt it produces good deep bass I've only been using the hideaway for a day now but it sounds great so far and it's practically hidden away hince the name.
