Overall this powered sub is a well made, quality product. It’s very simple to install. The sound quality is good, but I was hoping for a little bit more bass out of it, but it did help fill out the low end bass that my system was lacking. It did take a bit of tuning to get it to sound right. There was a few things that I didn’t like about the power sub. First there aren’t any RCA inputs, but there are input wires in the harness that can accept hi or low inputs. You need to splice in RCA connectors if you want to use RCAs. Also, these input wires are short, around 2 feet.

Incredible sound. Works perfectly under the seat in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler 4 door. Finally have the sound I want with the top off! Great subwoofer!!

Awesome sounding speaker for a great price and doesn't take up alot of space

I've owned two of these and love them. They are easy to install and don't wake the entire neighborhood.

Small and compact nice and beautiful bass I could not believe how clear is the sound

This was a gift for my girlfriend who wanted a subwoofer with built in amp and fully enclosed to protect the speaker while in the trunk. It has great sound and mounting capabilities. We mounted on the back of the seat , in the trunk, facing away from the seat. This provides crisp, clear sound and has a small profile so as not to take up too much room. Down side is the extra bass control that doesn't integrate into the stereo and the treble controls are on the unit itself. If you are going to want to tweak the treble controls, you set them and forget them. It has really great bass without rattling the trunk....after all, it's a Kicker!

If you want to rattle the windows and annoy other drivers at the traffic light, this might not be what you want. If you want to feel the kick of the bass drum in your music, this will fit the bill. For an 8" speaker, this thing packs a pretty good punch, and will give you deeper bass than you'd expect. Try it on Pat Benatar's "I'm Gonna Follow You". It'll probably fit under your driver's seat, so make sure to put it there if you can for maximum kick. It comes with a bass control to adjust how much gain the amp gives. There's plenty of cord, too, so find the perfect spot so you can have easy access any time you want to boost or cut some bass. Very handy, and much easier than digging through menus in the head unit to do the same thing. The only real down side was having to get a separate cable to convert their "speaker" inputs to RCA. I was disappointed that they didn't have RCA inputs to make my installation quick and simple. For the price of the unit, they could've thrown in the cable in case I needed it. They claim most people tap into existing speaker wires, but interestingly several other brands I considered all had RCA inputs. I find it a bit hard to believe that with so many head units having RCA outputs, people would prefer to pull panels and hunt down speaker wires, then deal with making sure the polarity of each wire is correct as opposed to running an RCA cable between the two. I could've had it all hooked up in a matter of minutes since I already had all the wiring I needed from a previous sub/amp combo. Overall, it's definitely worth it even with the extra time wasted not having RCA inputs. Unless you just want killer bass, this will definitely give you more than you thought you'd get from an 8" speaker. It gets five stars for its performance, and lives up to the name "Kicker".

Thin enough to slide under my seat comes with all the wiring youll need but you may want to get some crimp wire post and an RCA to Raw - / + I got one in my 2nd gen 1500 then got another as soon as i heard it...hard hitter for such a little box. If your working with little space this is the set up for you also do research on the HS10 as you may rather want that :) depends what you want but both awesome choices

I bought this Kicker - Hideaway 8" Subwoofer on the advice of the Best Buy Stereo Install technician. He said that for my application, this sub would fill all my needs and at the price I wanted to pay. He was right! This sub-woofer is small, hides away nicely, and just plain rocks my truck! I highly recommend this product if you are on a budget, and don't have a lot of cab space for a large sub-woofer, and want big sound at a reasonable price.

This sub was just what I needed for my Regular cab chevy silverado. I had a new touch screen head unit installed and this sub provided just the right amount of bottom end. It sounds like a high quality factory unit not real loud but great quality. It installed nicely behind the passenger seat. I had to make a small wood shelf for it to sit on. Bestbuy installed and it sounds great..

Bought the car for my son's 2014 Chevy 4 door Cruze. Originally was going to place it in the truck but tech said would be better under driver seat. Fit perfect and really helps the sounds in the car. One issue the wired control knob was not in box had to get charged for another one. Would be a 5 star if that was there.

I received this as a Christmas gift the speaker/amp itself is very solid small enough to fit in areas in your vehicle so it can be hidden and looks very user-friendly as I look at the cables very simple to put together My install date is in March so I’m still waiting to hear sound quality as Best Buy is very busy this time of year after Christmas for installs.

I have 2 young daughters so I wasn't looking to blow the windows out, but I wished for some more bump and low end from my factory JBL system. (2012 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crewmax) I originally opted for a separate 10" sub and 150 watt amp for the exact same price, but I didn't want to to have to lose space from the enclosure and amp. This sub/amp combo was absolutely perfect. The sound is strong and subtle at the same time, and it is a spectacular space saver behind the back seats. I am thoroughly impressed with the installation of the sub and the bass dial, and couldn't be happier with the performance.

Purchased this unit because my aftermarket stereo just didn't have enough low end. It very nicely fills the void of bass without being distorted or irritating. Took a while to "dial in" the sound, but once I did, it sounds great. My only slight issue is that I wish we could have mounted it under the drivers seat rather than the passenger seat. I suspect that's more of a vehicle issue though.

Great speaker. Nothing too loud but it knocks pretty good for real considering it’s size. It is obnoxious where they put the knobs to adjust the amp but you do get a knob to control the bass level that’s pretty convenient cuz you can mount it pretty much wherever you want. Def recommend this. I might buy another actually

Bought this for my 17 yr old, had it professionally installed though we prolly could've done the job. Overall it performs well. Added allot of bass and depth to stock speakers and the built in amp powers the unit sufficiently. The remote is a really nice feature as along with EQ on head unit you can really dial in the bass and get a nice, clean, crisp sound. Also the super low profile of the unit is great for underseat deployment which is really nice.

Great sound and very loud. Its more like an extra speaker you inatall below your driver seat but its still got enoigh bass to make a huge difference in your audio system. But for the price and the fact that its all in one i would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a upgrade their car audio without having to buy a whole new speaker set.

Bought this for our son for Christmas for his Jeep Compass. Had it installed with Best Buy under his driver seat. Neat, small, and out of the way. Definitely not super loud in terms of speakers, but son says “it fills the space nicely.” Overall, a good value for the money and with out Best Buy membership the free installation was fabulous!
