Great addition the the home arcade! Killer Instinct delivers on the looks, the game play and the controls! This is such an upgrade from the previous generation of cabs (MK Legacy). Pros: Monitor has great viewing angels Cabinet shape is improved (more arcade-like) Controls feel good No more sticker coinn doors KI I & 2 play great- no glitches Cons: Bat tops are wrong color Side panels are two-piece Limited number of games Overall a great cab if you can live with the small number of cons.

Great Arcade. Planning to purchase 2 more in right price. Assembly takes forever. Some part labeled wrong but figured out.

Pros: Nice side art and decals. Controls are alright. Game play is fine. Cons: Sound is awful and has popping issues. Headphone jack sound is even worse than speaker sound! No bass or depth of any kind. Quality of monitor seems a lot worse than my Midway Classics cab. Internals feel like they are made from cheap parts and not shielded so if using custom speakers and amp, you will get a lot of feedback. Marquee is washed out. Has only 3 games! ( 2 console versions of the same game doesn't count) As a side note, the only thing I was pleasantly surprised about was Arcade 1up's customer service. I had a damaged front kick plate and bad PCB and they were very swift in sending replacements. This is the only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1. If you're like me and love Killer Instinct, you're better off finding a way to build your own custom cab.

I absolutely love the cabinet and Killer Instinct was always my favorite arcade game. The LED lights on the controls is a nice addition. By far the highlight of my collection. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is due to the speakers making a popping noise when it powers down. It’s a known issue that seems to come and go for me.

As with the majority of Arcade1up's home arcades, the emulation and presentation is very good. However, there are a few setbacks to consider when determining if it's right for you. The marquee is fairly washed out and the black tones don't necessarily pop. This can be fixed with aftermarket replacements if it's a big enough issue for you. Also, some have reported issues with the speakers/sound. Some cabs have been known to have a speaker pop or hum when not actively used. My cab doesn't appear to have this issue, but your mileage may vary. Some also have reported that the volume is too low which i also have not experienced. This too can be adjusted through simple modification. Given that I primarily bought this cab for the Battletoads arcade game and was able to get it on a Best Buy flash sale, I'm more than happy with my purchase. The screen is crisp, the art looks great, and the online features are fantastic.

I own 5 Arcade1up machines, this one had the worst build quality. For starters, it had a bad PCB, so it would trip the power to the speakers when turned off. The sound itself is horrible, you have to put it on max volume to seem somewhat normal. I ended up doing a mod with a Logitech sub connected to the stock speakers. The speakers after that were much louder which then leads me to believe the sound chip has a defect as well. And last, the bezel KI logo is not straight. The light up marque brightness is a little off too. The controls are fine and thankfully the game emulation is perfect.

And it did not disappoint. Yeah, the price tag is high ($700 for 3 games) but I caught it at $500. Still probably a little pricey for 3 games, but I love these games so it’s a hit I was willing to take. It is WiFi compatible, so you can play other people online. With USB and Micro SD, I’m guessing there’s probably a way to add more games that I haven’t figured out. Great purchase for the man cave retro room.
