Great style, great cast, but little substance. Biggest issue: There's a scene in which the 'bad' guy kills the 'good' guy (after some witty repartee) and genuinely feels remorse over it, he is both physically and morally upset. Followed, not too long after, by a macabre musical number wherein the remaining 'good' guys induce glorious technicolor decapitations as an expedient means to an end, and are rather glib about it. True... most of those decapitated were evil henchmen, but there was also a large number of civilians who no longer meet the minimum height requirements for the cool rides at Disneyland. Also? Not sure who should sue who, but the bad guys' evil plot is basically a direct lift from Stephen King's book, CELL. This is based off a comic book, so I wasn't really looking to find the meaning of life during it's run time; but it also failed to entertain.

This film seemed to be unable to decide if it wanted to be a hokey comedy or a serious spoof of the secret agent genre. The sub-plots actually had a rather serious undertone. The over the top violence was hilariously disturbing and the entire thing could have had a more significant message. As it is, it ends up degenerating into a silly mess that seems to have no real emotional punch. It was entertaining to a point. Just wish it would have taken its lampooning of the genre a bit more seriously and actually developed the characters more than it did. The ending, in particular, seemed to not mesh well with the rest of the film and, ultimately, made the picture rather forgettable. Unfortunate.

I was a huge fan of Kick*ss and have enjoyed other Matthew Vaughn films. I have to say I was looking forward to this, but was really let down. I'm in the minority for disliking this film but it just didn't work for me. The cartoonish violence that was used in Kick*ss didn't translate to this movie and in my opinion this was one of Samuel L. Jackson's worst performances ever. I would personally recommend passing on this movie.

I enjoyed this movie, but they only released it to cash in on people purchasing matching steelbooks. There aren’t any additional features from the original release. This wouldn’t be bad if it wasn’t $24.99.

Maybe I went in expecting so much more out of this film since everyone kept telling me how good it was but I was bored from the get go. It would get my attention briefly but then lost it again. Best I could rate it was fair.

Not for me, but that’s a personal thing. The acting didn’t disappoint, but the storyline didn’t capture me. If you are a fan of any of these actors, it’s worth the Blu-ray price

This was suppose to be about MI-6 but it definitely wasn't James Bond. I liked the beginning but the second half was not what I expected. The action was over exaggerated.

This movie was way out there in storyline which made it unfunny and predictable. It was like watching a poor watered down version of 007 mixed w/dumb and dumber.

An interesting take to movies of the same genre. The plot and characters were underwhelming. Some great actors make it bearable to watch.

I probably need to watch this movie a couple more times To get more of a understanding of it , wasn't the best movie I've seen this year

The beginning of the movie was great, seeming like a new good spy movie. Later on, things take a strange and bad turn.

It was very unlikely that this good happen The story line was not very good I would wait until it on cable before you get this

I found it hard to keep my attention. Seemed like a low budget movie.

The homages were nice, but beyond that the acting seemed forced and I expected it to be funny. It wasn't. Sophomoric romp.

Thought it would be a James Bond-like movie....instead, more like a B horror movie. Could have been a much better movie.

This movie proves that special effects cannot overcome poor writing and poorer taste. Don't waste your time or money.

I didn't any expectations and it's a good thing I didn't. There were a few enjoyable moments but that is it.

Just didn't care for the movie that much. will watch again to see if maybe i missed something.
