We were impressed by how easy it was to use the Kinsa thermometer. My husband really liked the app that we could use on our phones. We were able to track the temperature readings of different family members in one place, on our phones. Typically, we would keep track using a piece of paper on the kitchen counter! Using the Kinsa app was much easier. It was easy to set up the app for all of our family members too. I had no trouble navigating or using the app; it was very intuitive. The thermometer works quickly and it was easy to take our children's temperatures. I like that you don't need to use a plastic shield over the ear piece, too. It's much simpler that way; there is nothing to lose and you don't have to buy replacements when you run out, like you would with other thermometers. However, the only part that I didn't like was the ear piece seems pretty large to use on a small baby or child. I wish they had designed the tip to be a bit smaller. Overall, it's a great thermometer and very easy to use, especially with the app. We received the Kinsa thermometer at no cost, in exchange for an honest review.

I've used the Kinsa thermometer with two children now. We use the the ear infrared thermometer for our busy toddler who will not sit long enough for an oral or auxiliary read. We use it less frequently on our infant, as we typically use the other Kinsa attachment to take a more accurate rectal temperature. We own one of the first designs of this kind that can't be used without being attached to your phone. This was less ideal for our child from 0-3 months. However, the infrared ear thermometer is now our go-to with both children over the age of 3 months. We are quickly able to assess temperatures even in the middle of the night with the glowing screen. If we could change one thing, it would be the beep that occurs when you press the button - it usually startles our child, but other than that, it's been going strong for the last 3.5 years.

The kids love this ear thermometer, and we regularly use it for the whole family. They like that they can easily see if they have a fever from the smiley face/frowny face graphic. The accuracy seems better than the other auxillary thermometers we have, but we usually confirm fevers with an under the tongue or rectal thermometer (depending on age). We used the app a few times. It is easy to set up and easy to use, so we'd probably use it more if we needed it.

This thermometer sure has been getting a lot of use lately! Being "essential workers" we take our temperature with this every morning before going to work and daycare. Here's what I love about the thermometer: 1. The app is great for tracking temperatures. You can even add different family members to track separately along with symptoms and medications. It is so easy to setup. 2. The readings are basically instant and almost the same as another forehead thermometer so we know we can trust the readings. 3. We've owned this for a year and never had to change the batteries! What I don't love: 1. It isn't as accurate for my 15 month old's tiny ears as it is in older kids and adults.

I purchased this thermometer when I was a new mom with an infant and frustrated that the several others I tried would not give accurate readings. This one gives consistent readings and takes the temp in seconds which is invaluable with an infant. My only worry was that since baby's ear was so small that it wasn't able to go in as far as it was supposed to (and did on my own ear) and the temperature always seemed slightly low to me. It's very cool that it connects to an app on your phone though and tells you when you should be worried.

Being a mom of 2 and a nurse, I know how important it is to have a reliable, easy to use thermometer for when anyone in your family gets sick. I have been through many different kinds but will not being buying any more since I got my Kinsa. I have found it to be to very accurate especially compared to many of the forehead thermometers which can give you vastly different results every time you swipe. It also is very easy to use, just gently place in the ear and press the button and within seconds you have a reading that pops up in a digital display directly on the thermometer. For me the coolest part about this thermometer is the fact that it can connect with an app on your phone. It then sends all readings directly to the phone where you can link it to the person whose temp was taken. I have a profile created for each family to member, me, my husband and my two kiddos. I then can keep track of when medications are given and when and what the temperatures were. It will even send you alerts when you should redose a medication such as ibuprofen or Tylenol. This is extremely helpful when there are multiple family members under the weather to help keep track of these important details. Overall I love my Kinsa and would recommend it to all moms, from new to veteran.

The only type of thermometer I have used before was your standard "squish it against your head" type of thermometer. It would take forever for the temperature to display on the screen, and my kids would never sit long still enough to get an accurate temp. But with the Kinsa, the temp reading is generated so fast, that my child doesn't have time to squirm. But you know what the best thing is about this thermometer??? It records the temp for me!!!! No more recording it on a piece of paper and then when you call the doctor you can't find the paper. Or, you wrote the temperatures down and now you can't read your own writing. Or, what always happens in my house.... My husband takes the last few temperatures and doesn't write down the number. Now, I don't have an accurate record of my kids temps!! Kinsa solved all of that. Using the app, it is very easy to retrieve them later. This thermometer is a game changer!! I am so happy I received this thermometer in exchange for my review. I would have never known how easy it is to use. This is a valuable product in our household.

I bought this when my son was a baby thinking it would be easy but our pediatrician told us his ears are too small to get a good reading. We’ve been using it for ourselves and its helped us get through COVID-19 to make sure we don’t have fevers. I haven’t started using it on our son yet but will when he’s a little older. I especially love that you can save temperatures in the app and have multiple profiles. I would recommend this product to other families.

We tried just about every model of thermometer on the market, but this Kinsa in-ear thermometer has been the easiest and most reliably accurate one. It makes it super quick and simple to take our baby’s temperature. He won't sit still long, if at all, so having it take his temp so fast is a must for us. The app is very user friendly and helps us keep track of his temperature, so we can see if there's been any increase or decrease. My favorite things about this thermometer are how easy it is to use, how fast it takes a temperature, and the great app for keeping track of everything. This is one of my diaper bag essentials.

I registered for this item when I was due with my middle child who is now 3. I was excited to have such a fast thermometer and one that I could track on my phone. Unfortunately I found that her little ears were too small to fit the thermometer piece in and get an accurate reading. I can use it for my husband and I and our 11 year old son but anyone under 5 doesn't have big enough ear canals. It was such a disappointment. I then had to buy another thermometer to get a reading I could trust. The Kinsa is about 3 degrees off and when we are talking high fever it's important to have an accurate reading. I would not recommend this to someone who wants a quick thermometer for their young children. I would however recommend it to a family with older children ages 5 and up.

I bought this thermometer for the ease of use. It is most definitely quick and easy to use but it is not always accurate. If the child is older or an adult, this is pretty accurate. However if the child is a baby, toddler, or even preschooler, I have found you need to take their temperature in both ears, several times and just go with the average. It’s not reliable with a baby at all, I had to switch to a rectal thermometer for accuracy in my infant as this one was all over the place. I would not recommend this thermometer for a baby but would definitely recommend for bigger ears. The temp pops up very quickly and you can even track them in the app. I have not used the app much though- just because I have to take their temps multiple times at once.

This thermometer is amazing! I am a first time mom and wanted something quick and easy to use. It’s reliable and does all the work for you. It keeps track of your babies temperature and tells you when it’s time to take action. I love that it logs the temperatures because when your baby is sick trying to remember how high their fever was is the last thing in your mind. It connects easy via Bluetooth. The app is super simple to use and you can setup profiles if you have more then one child. By far the best thermometer for babies.

I have a collection of thermometers, everything from recital for a baby to one I like to call “point and shoot” no contact. None ever seen accurate. Fast forward to last year when my son had a fever, but none of my thermometers were giving an accurate reading. I ended up at a local store and settled on the Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer. An ear one was the only one I didn’t have in my collection. I thought why not? The added bonus of the app to track temperatures made it ultra appealing. Now, a year later, and I believe it’s my most accurate thermometer, at least on my elementary school aged kiddo. It’s fast, accurate, and I love the app! Definitely a keeper!

We have the Sesame Street version of the Kinsa smart thermometer and I can't rave about it enough! My daughter hated our other thermometer when she was a year old so when I found this, I knew my Elmo obsessed kiddo would love it! I told her Elmo wanted to take her temperature and it has the Elmo voices and the coolest app that works with it! She LOVED IT! Any time I would mention I needed to take her temperature or she wasn't feeling well she would say, "Can Elmo check my temperature?!" Total game changer! No crying or fighting it, she begged for it! (Side note, you can use the Sesame Street themed Kinsa app even with the regular blue thermometer!) Now my son loves the Elmo thermometer too! It's very accurate, quick, and I never have any issues with it. We have had ours since it came out, my daughter was one (2016). She's now almost 5 and it works just like the day we got it, looks brand new and works great every single time I need it! When it comes to fevers in my kiddos, I need something I can rely on, not something I hope is sort of accurate, and this thermometer delivers. It's worth every penny. I love the Kinsa app too because it's the perfect way to keep the kids' temps recorded in one place and it's no extra work for me. If I need to tell the doctor what the temps were, I have all that information right in my phone! I showed it to our pediatrician a few times and she loved it. She was so grateful that I had all of the data on my kiddo's high fevers that she needed so easily and quickly. Plus, the app has all of the Sesame Street characters and it's so fun! Obviously if you're tracking your kiddo's temp and they aren't feeling well, anything to cheer them up is a huge plus, and this app is so helpful with that. We love this thermometer and I recommend it to all of my new mama friends out there!

So, i do notice some variance depending on how good a person is at putting the thing in their ear the same way every time, but when i got it and I wasnt sick at all, i read myself ~5-10 times over an hour, and I got 98.6 every single time. My husband who was sick and medicating over the day showed much more fluctuations, likely due to how much the fever reducers were effecting him. The app can be weird at times (claims it isnt connected to the internet when it clearly is). But overall i have been able to work with it. Pretty solid choice I think.

I have multiple Kinsa thermometers and they’re great. The app is very convenient to use to track illnesses of individual family members. However, I wish it were a bit more accurate. The instructions say to take the temperature on one ear three times to be accurate. The last time I did this for example, my daughter had readings of 102.0, 101.4, 101.6. Which one is it? 102.0 is different than 104.0. Do I go with the highest? Once you get a feel for it, you get used to it but I still wish for better accuracy. My kids like it though, it is non invasive, and super quick to get out and use, so it’s my go to. I highly recommend the Kinsa ear thermometer.

My whole family loves this product! It's lightning fast, accurate, and has an app that allows me to create profiles for each family member, and get longitudinal data so that I don't have to remember all temps and symptoms! I wish all the tech products were so user friendly and helpful.

This thermometer is awesome! We have the rectal one and upgraded to the ear version once our kiddo got a little older. Both are wonderful. While the thermometer is very accurate and easy to use, I found their app to be the reason I keep coming back to this thermometer. You can save different people’s profiles in the app and it automatically keeps track of that persons temperature over time. You can also add in other symptoms. This was such a life saver when we are keeping track of 2 different kiddos and trying to relay that information to the doctor. I didn’t have to find a scrap piece of paper, it was just all there at my finger tips. I would highly recommend any Kinsa thermometer. They are innovative, accurate and a wonderful addition to our medicine cabinet!

I love this thermometer! It is easy to use and the app is great! It gives you a lot of information if you are wondering about stuff. The app is easy to use and navigate through. The one thing I liked about the app is if your child has a cough it gives you examples of the coughs and what they sound like.
