It’s very easy to set up and use, however I found the temperature is consistently on the low side with this model. It has given me a lower temp readout when I was actually running a fever. I really like the features offered in the app though. I would recommend the stick thermometer before this one.

I love that it connects to the app on my phone. Then, I can track the temperature effortlessly. Mom brain is real, so this is helpful when sharing with the pediatrician when my little one’s temperatures were what.

The app is really easy to use and I really liked that I can also make notes of which medications were given and at what time. I also loved that I can organize and store temperature readings and notes for each of my kids. The app made it so much easier to relay information to our pediatrician when one or both of my kids have been sick. Both of my kids refuse to sit still when I need to take there temperature, so it was nice how quickly this thermometer gave a reading. However, after just a couple of months, the thermometer began to give inconsistent readings. It would give very different readings, often more than a degree in difference, in readings that were just seconds apart. A few times it would just tell me low temperature, instead of a reading. The app is fantastic, but the thermometer was unreliable.

Posted .Hey there, and thanks so much for your feedback! From your review, we think we might know what's going on here with these low readings and how to fix them. You mentioned that the Smart Ear thermometer worked well at first, but started being off after a couple of months. This is consistent with something getting stuck on the sensor which can happen after a few months of use and cause readings to be off like this. If you haven't already, we recommend cleaning the sensor with a cotton swab and alcohol which should give you much better readings right away. This in ear thermometer is fantastic for wiggly toddlers and impatient little ones. They are a must have in my house and I can’t imagine being without them.

It is very accurate and super quick which is helpful when you have a baby. I will definitely be using it again with my second child which should be here any day now.

I also love that the thermometer connects to a phone through bluetooth so I have a running log of all temperature readings...great for tired parents!
