It calibrated to my phone very easily. While taking a temperature, it automatically popped up on my phone and gave information to fill out for symptoms. It actually rated your temperature and symptoms to refer or not refer you to the doctor or ER. UNFORTUNATELY, this app stopped working and I can only use the thermometer without the phone features. Wont buy this item again but the thermometer does work great by itself.

Pricey thermometer, but priceless for COVID-19

So every time we take our temperature, which is often with the COVID-19 crisis, we are part of a national database. That's pretty cool in March of 2020, but wouldn't be a big deal any other time. So this would be an "extravagance" in any other time, but we are very glad we purchased it before it sold out.

I am a nurse, as well as a mother of four. I know when my child has a temperature greater than 100 and this thermometer has yet to take an accurate reading. Just today it read as 94.3 when I know his temp is greater than 100.0.
