I've had to get a technician to come out 4 times now (and counting), and every time they can't fix the issue. The fans just refuse to turn on sometimes for the ventilation. If you never cook, and just use a microwave, maybe this $1000 microwave is acceptable to you (or maybe a $50 model would be better), but if you do any kind of cooking at all and you need ventilation, you should pass. Heaven forbid you actually try to get a replacement with KitchenAid, they'll send 20 technicians to your house at random hours of the day before they even think of it, but they'll definitely send you a warranty extension (paid of course) for your pile of $1000 over the range junk. My family and I have spent thousands on KitchenAid products, but I think this may be the last penny I ever give them willingly. I can't believe a product could be this defective with service this bad.

I've looked for a microwave oven and a hood fan for some time, and I was thrilled to find a device that had the combination of the two , I'm very pleased .
