Highly recommend!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great appliance! Every appliance I’ve purchased the past few years has been junk. I’ve only had this for a month or so, but it seems like a really well made appliance. The door is solid... my old one was light and junky. I love that I can bake cookies and microwave a cup of water for tea.

Amazing microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our microwave went out and we were dreading getting a new one. We were going to get a cheap one, but decided to get one that will match the fridge the wife wants to get when ours eventually goes out. So glad we made this purchase. It’s beautiful in our kitchen, and SO big. Love the convection settings, and popcorn has never cooked loren perfectly. 5 stars!!!

Defective door latch, loud fan, huge door
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good looking microwave, but defective product. High marks to Best Buy for service on my extended warranty. After the third breakdown in under 3 years, I am getting credit for a new and different replacement unit. The door is huge and can be a hazard in a small kitchen. The vent fan supposedly has multiple levels, but they are all loud and don't work great unless on high. Our door latch broke three times, so the microwave would not start, because it didn't recognize whether the door was shut. This is a second home, so it did not get much use and we are not door slammers, so we were not abusive of the unit. I think the door is so large and heavy that the plastic parts just don't hold up in the door latch. They replaced the door latch and even the entire door, but the last repair only worked for three months. When the unit did work, it worked well for microwave cooking. We honestly never used the convection feature, so I can't comment on that. I would recommend a microwave that does not have all the controls on the door.

Great micro and convection oven
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with this appliance. It replaced a GE microwave convection oven that died 1 year after I bought it. Convection works great. Micro doesn't heat quite as fast as the GE but that's minor. Defrost works very well. I highly recommend.

Great for baking
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this the week before Thanksgiving because I didn't have double ovens in my new home and had an army to feed. I wasn't sure that a microwave could really cook like an oven. It definitely can. I baked all of my sides in it and they came out great. I highly recommend this as an alternative to double ovens. It is extremely heavy for a microwave and I recommend professional installation. That's what we did.

good unit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DH really likes it but he is very tech oriented. It is doing what it is supposed to do, cook foods, looks good, has better light under side than our old one, good fan strength. the cabinet and ducting system it had to be mounted into had to be rebuilt even though it was the same size as our old unit. What pain for 2 senior citizens.

Worth the Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was money well spent. The convection oven heats quickly, and cooks evenly. It is not hot on the outside while cooking (nice when cooking in the summer). Works much better than my large oven! The learning curve for the oven settings takes some getting used too. It would be nice if it was more straight forward. The microwave is quiet but not as strong as my previous microwave which is strange for such a nice unit. The "finish" signal is very nice and not blaring. I highly recommend!

Convection didn't work as expected (uneven cooking
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No issues with the microwave and/or the extractor fan. Those worked as my previous GE profile microwave/convection. This one it is a lot quite. So quite that somtimes I didn't hear the tone at completion from my family room, which is close to the kitchen. My issue with the convection is that I cannot bake anything, since the heat distribution is so uneven that in a tray of cookies, or mini cupcakes, the corner that has the fan gets burned, while the other corner is still raw.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we bought this 2 years ago. When it arrived, the logo on the door was crooked and that was a good omen of what was to come. Within a month or 2, the handle on the door crumbled. To fix it required a new door. We are on our third door. The convection oven is so loud that we never use it. The timing functions are accurate.

Great quality product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We installed this convection microwave in our RV in early 2017 and really love it. We used the inside venting option, and on hot days, it was a little warm in the RV while cooking. Therefore, we are going to install outside venting for the microwave for this RV season. I love the multiple fan levels, two light levels (one is a great nightlight for the kids) and the shelf for baking two things at once. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

We love our new microwave!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased the Kitchen Aid model #KMHC319EHW in January 2017, the exhaust fan can be noisy, you can be turned down. My only complaint is the exhaust fan doesn't work as good as our previous microwave. The fan is in the back so steam and odors on the front stove burners go in the air, condensation build on the microwave which concerns me of possible rust on the metal components. But we still love this microwave, hopefully they will fix the exhaust issue.

Weak Oven and No Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this from Pacific Sales and I sent an email to complain about the microwave, but have not heard anything back. I either have a defective unit or this is really poor microwave. It won't even cook a full bag of microwave popcorn as an example. It literally takes twice as long to heat anything compared to our previous microwave, which was also a Kitchenaid with the same 1000 watt rating. It takes forever (about 5 min) to heat a cold mug of water to make some tea. This is actually the second unit that we received as the first one was damaged (dented), but it was installed for about a week until it could be replaced. So we used the first one for about a week and it had exactly the same poor/slow cooking performance so I'm assuming that's the way it is and I don't get what all the rave reviews are for. The only thing we like is the convection feature which does work well. If someone has any recommendations for how to get better performance out of this oven, I'm all ears as it doesn't appear we'll hear from Pacific Sales. Thanks

Great Microwave, Great Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a horriblei decision maker and when our old microwave quit working, it took me 2 months to choose this microwave. It had to be White, it had to go above the oven, it had to be 30" wide and have the vented hood. I was not sure about getting the convection part, if I'd even use it or not because my oven has convection, along with a second oven in the lower drawer/door and I don't use either of those very often. I did make the right decision and I absolutely love this microwave! It's amazing! I can put it on bake and it heats up just like my oven, only a lot faster. Tonight I had some B.B.Q. wings that I heated it up to 400* when they were done, I removed them and put a half of a enchilada in and microwaved it for 1 minute, it is absolutely great!

Owned for 2 years - Would not buy again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this from Best buy two years ago and am already having trouble with it. We keep getting an intermittent door close error that is expensive to fix: 3 switches and maybe a cam. Also, this microwave sticks out quite a bit beyond your cabinets and the sides are NOT stainless, so you have ugly black side panels between your beautiful cabinets and the stainless front. My last KitchenAid microwave lasted 16 years, but apparently their newer products have inferior components (according to the repairman). Have had the repairman out twice for the French Door fridge, once for the slide in range and now for the microwave. Guess KitchenAid wants you to buy their extended warranty.

Just 1 small detail
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would have given this a 5 star rating if only the digital display panel had back-lighting so you could use this without turning on a light!! For the price, you'd think it would have that.
