Sensor cooking works good and very quiet. Use to having the controls down the right side instead of across the bottom which makes the door heavier when opening since entire front opens up. Too many steps to start defrosting and always have to add more time to automatic defrost time. Haven't used the Convection feature.

Simple to use, stylish and ample capacity. We have yet to use the convection cooking function.

This is a microwave and convection oven...fantastic! Easy to use, large capacity, great looking.

This over the range micro/convection seems to be one of the nicest for the money right now. I researched these for weeks before choosing the Kitchenaid. I was told it would work in my space. Unfortunately it did not fit the specs (other than the width) I needed for where my Viking had been. The entire door swings open, so you will need to take that into consideration in your space. You have to back up or stand to side when opening door. We had to send it back without using and start over with our search.

Installation was easy It looks very nice. It's working very nice too. No problems at all. The quality is very good. The fan speed can be adjusted easily. The heating options are good too. Quietness is an excellent. We all are like it and love it, that's all we can tell about this microwave for sure. We're using KitchenAid products from long time without any problems.

When picking out new appliances for our brand new home, we not only wanted something that had quality that matched up with the name, but a product that gave us a matching look that appealed to the eye of our room setup and entertaining. From the fridge, stove, dishwasher, all the way to the microwave, these KitchenAid products deliver on every aspect of what was expected. Effective, sharp looking, super quiet, and priced well for quality.

I bought the KitchenAid microwave to replace an older model and I'm so happy that I bought this one. It seems bigger than my old one because the control panel is on the bottom and not the side and the exhaust is on the top instead of the front. It does everything it says and more.

Easy to use and looks great! Had it installed over existing range and fits perfectly.

The KitchenAid convection microwave is extremely quiet and works very well. The light is bright and there are multiple settings for the exhaust fan. The LCD display does flicker avery 5-10 seconds and this started after only 1 week of use. It doesn't effect the use of the microwave but my concern is that this may lead to a bigger problem later on. KitchenAid was quick to offer service and is sending a service tech to change out the control board so we'll see if that fixes the issue.

Install was very easy. A few measurements, a couple of holes drilled, and I was in business. The unit runs very quiet. The most quiet I have ever heard in a microwave. It looks and feels great when installed. Beautiful. Feels solid when opening and closing the door. Touchpad is very responsive and easy to use. I have not had an opportunity to use the convection feature yet, but it seems exciting!

I HAD A KITCHENAID ARCHITECT SERIES MICROWAVE BEFORE THIS ONE THAT WAS 10 YEARS OLD AND IT STILL WORKED WELL BUT THE CASE WAS CRACKING. I DECIDED TO GET ANOTHER KITCHENMAID THINKING IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE AS GOOD AS MY OLD ONE. IT IS EVEN BETTER!! IT IS QUIET, COOKS EVERYTHING PERFECTLY. HAS ALL THE RIGHT COOKING COMBINATIONS...TELL IT WHAT YOU ARE COOKING AND IT COOKS IT!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I read the previous reviews and was a little skeptical to spend this much on a microwave but decided to go for it anyway since I had wanted to upgrade my appliances to Kitchenaid. I bought a Kitchenaid refrigerator first and love it. Next on the list was a microwave, bought this one and Love it!! Pops popcorn perfectly, softens and melts butter perfectly , the glass is a touch glass so no “pressing” buttons which is so nice. Some reviewers complained about not seeing the buttons well because of no backlighting but I can see mine fine so I guess it depends on the light in your kitchen. Other reviewers complained about the fan being loud,no it’s not whisper quiet but it’s certainly an improvement from my loud Frigidaire I had. I haven’t used the convection yet so can’t comment on that but all in all I’m really glad I decided to upgrade to this particular model of Kitchenaid microwave. It’s really a beautiful appliance. FYI this microwave is pretty heavy compared to my old one, definitely a 2 person job.

Big and sleek convection microwave that can handle the turkey on thanksgiving.

This is a super microwave! Quiet, very easy to use. 6 fan speeds are perfect. Touch panel is nice since it is along the bottom. Big inside space with convection cooking included. Lots of settings for standard stuff, plus "just enter time directly on key pad" no other buttons to push other than "start". Stainless interior is nice feature. You will love it - huge door!

I replaced an older KitchenAid over-range microwave with this unit. The older microwave still worked great, but we decided it was time to update our kitchen appliances and went all KitchenAid in their black Stainless - a refreshing look! This microwave has the usual features you'd expect, and also provides a convection oven (nice since we don't have room for a second wall oven).

Not only i this the most powerful microwave I have ever owned, it is also the most easy to use! The touchscreen display is very intuitive and I like the audible sounds the unit makes - very unique - not the usual annoying electronic beeps. The convection feature is also nice when you want to combine the best of microwaving, with the ability to brown - perfect for fast baked potatoes!

Big microwave Capable of Browning Food as well as heating it up… Been in service over a year now and have only used the brown function a few times… I probably wouldn’t do that feature again. The end result is a very large microwave that takes up a lot of space over the oven… Overall a very good piece of machinery though

It’s quiet, sharp looking and has so many options.

Our 15 year old Kitchen Aid Microwave stopped working without warning, and since we used it every day, we needed a new one quickly! Reading reviews of several brands from Consumer Reports and other reputable sources did not give us a clear choice. Many had the same average or slightly above-average ratings. The Kitchen Aid, although not inexpensive, was in a group of higher rated microwaves, so we decided to look at it in person at our local BB store. We were impressed by the design, apparent quality, and features, so we bought it, picked it up at the Warehouse, and started using it in the same day. In the past 6 days, we have reheated leftovers, baked cookies with the convection oven (worked great!), and microwaved potatoes and hot chocolate. The interior is a shiny, easy-to-clean stainless steel, and the exterior is a higher-end stainless with a beautiful, hefty handle. Overall, it's a vast improvement from the 15 year old model, and so far, we are very pleased.

It looks great and very quite. Functions are very easy to use.
