Not durable
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought it July 18, 2020. The 1st exact one we returned it to get the exact same thing the next day because it was not functioning right but now after 2 years and 2 months it finally broke down. Exterior is very elegant looking. Function is easy to use however it is not durable.

Great Coffee Maker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.KitchenAid appliances always seem to have a solid and professional appearance and this coffee maker is no exception. It’s got that classic look and the quality is excellent, although the chassis is mostly plastic. One of the things I like most about this coffee maker is that it can be operated from the front if counter space is limited or you can turn it sideways if you have space and get full view of the timer and buttons. Beyond that, this coffee maker has all the standard features that most good units have and makes a great pot of coffee. The included gold tone filter has a dosage ladder for filling the coffee grounds, but is even numbered only. If you want to make an odd number of cups, you kind of have to guess or use a coffee scoop. This brings me to on problem I have. It is easy and cheap enough to include a coffee scoop, but KitchenAid did not. For people like me who prefer to use paper filters, this is annoying. I had one laying around that I could use, but if this is your first coffee maker, you better go buy one or use a measuring spoon. Small problem, but it annoyed me just the same. Another coffee maker I bought had one included and even had a place to store it when not in use. The removable water tank is another great feature. It is easy to remove and fill, and the numbers are easy to read. The pause and pour feature is nice, but similar to most units on the market today. Like most others, it is nearly impossible not to have a couple of drops of coffee hit the warming ploate when you remove the pot early. The auto set feature lets you set two brewing times. This is great for weekday and weekend brewing times. You can also set the coffee strength to bold if you like your coffee a bit stronger. Overall this is an excellent choice for coffee drinkers at a very reasonable price. It is classy looking enough for high end kitchens without spending a fortune.

It’s good.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I have owned various coffee makers throughout the years, all the major brands, the generic brands, the popular one cup makers, etc. Expensive, cheap, mid-tier. We’ve never had any KitchenAid product, but family and friends have sang the praises of the brand. Now I know why. The perks (pun intended) of this coffee machine really make it premium—brewing to desired strength, the pause to pour feature, the removable water tank, the warming plate, and the spiral showerhead. It is a pricier coffee maker that’s worth the price.

Best for the coffee lovers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this coffee maker works very well and has some nice features. I like that it came with a reusable filter, and especially like that there are measurement fill lines built into the filter to know how much coffee to add. The option to make a stronger brew is also a nice feature for those who love extra flavor without wasting coffee, along with the programmable hot plate; for those who may want to have a pot readily available all morning. The coffee maker itself looks nice and appears to be well made, but it is a bit on the bulky side. I don’t really care for the fact that the screen and main buttons for the coffee maker are on its side, but it is nice that there is the additional start/ cancel brew button on the “front side” below the hot plate. For me, the most disappointing part of this coffee maker is the lacking feature of selecting a brew size, especially considering the higher end cost of this coffee maker. While the large, detachable water reservoir is nice, its usefulness is a bit lost if you’re only looking to brew a couple cups at a time – not to mention you have to refill the reservoir for each programmed cycle to run. With the given features in mind, it’s evident that this coffee maker is best suited for those who consume large quantities of coffee or for families with numerous coffee drinkers. If you’re like me, and you are looking for a more individual serving size kind of coffee maker, then this may not be your best option.

Great coffee, easy to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love coffee. Like seriously I LOVE coffee. For a long time, I was an espresso-only drinker. Recently, I moved to a french press full-time. Unfortunately, by nature, french presses can go bad over time due to the metal webbing deteriorating. So, it was time to experiment some more. This time with an auto-drip coffee machine. This KitchenAid coffee machine has honestly converted me going forward for the foreseeable future. The machine is incredibly quiet. The buttons are located on the side panel which makes it very customizable as to where you set it on your counter. The water canister has a nice large opening giving you plenty of options on how you want to fill it. I can't stand when the opening is so small that you need a funnel to fill your water canister. THANK YOU KITCHENAID. The warming plate has a nice custom countdown on how much you want to keep it on for. That's nice because coffee can go bad quickly, no need to keep it warm for 6 hours. Overall, if you are looking for a really nice reliable auto-drip coffee maker, I would strongly recommend looking at this KitchenAid machine. It just does a great job at conserving the flavor of the coffee bean into the brew which is very important for me coming from espressos and french presses!

The coffee maker of the future!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must start by saying that the design of this coffee maker is magnificent, it actually looks like a coffee maker of the future ... it has features that are too functional that make it unique and a great option. The programming functions are quite effective and complete, whether you prepare coffee instantly or the next morning, it will be very easy to do it, one of the features that I really like most, is the strength control. It comes with a permanent filter, this made me happy because I don't have to buy filters anymore, it just need to be washed and that's it. The spiral drip system causes a noticeable change in the taste of coffee, every morning I prepare coffee for myself and I can notice the taste of the coffee, compare to my previous coffee maker that does not have this system. The fact of being able to remove the water tank has an important impact when cleaning the coffee maker, it is so simple, but important detail in the day to day. In summary, despite being a coffee maker with simple functions that maybe other coffee makers offer, the combination of technology, aesthetics, practice and simplicity make it a great coffee maker with an incredible color.

Great space saving coffee pot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffee pot holds up to 12 cups of coffee and though I don't need that much coffee brewing capacity, I prefer it over my smaller capacity one. This coffeemaker is more tall than it is wide and I found this incredibly useful for my tiny apartment kitchen that only has one countertop. The part where you put the water is removable like a tank with a handle so you don't have to lug anything heavy around and snugly fits back into place. The speed and temperature in which this brewed was amazing and I found myself having it let it cool off a lot more than my previous coffeemaker, which is a pro and a con. The most helpful feature I found is the programmable buttons for brewing. I have one set for myself for the weekdays and the other set at a different time on the weekends. Overall, this coffeemaker is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

A Welcome Addition
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the last 7 years we have used coffee pods exclusively for our coffee consumption. Convenient yes. Ideal no. So, when this KitchenAid 12 Cup Coffee Maker arrived, we were ready. We had a nice blend of ground coffee already purchased. Of course, the coffee maker was easy to set up. The water canister removes and re-inserts easily. The coffee maker has an internal filter but additional paper filters are available. There is a clock with a programmable timer so that we can wake up to a fresh brew. The warming plate has an automatic shut off. This coffee maker is well made. I prefer coffee made this way over coffee pods primarily because it’s cheaper. This machine is well made and very satisfied with it. I have no problems recommending it.

Love this coffee maker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second KitchenAid coffee maker and, after trying other brands, this one far outperforms others in this price range and above. Note: this review is based on using med grind freshly ground coffee beans. The KitchenAid comes with a 12 cup glass carafe, removable water tank, and filter with labels for recommend amount of grounds based on amount of water. Out of the box I noticed a few unique features. First, the display is on the side, with a small brew light up front. This is nice, as it's not an obnoxious bright LED display, and blends in well with the other appliances in the kitchen. Second is the filter basket with graduated markings, I always struggle with determining the amount of grounds to get the perfect bold brew. The recommended lines made it such that I had my coffee dialed in by the second pot. Last is the removable water tank, which comes with a handle and lid, making it easy to fill and maintain versus having to pour water from the carafe into the machine. I'm a huge fan of not spilling water everywhere. As far as performance, this coffee maker consistently works as expected. There is a bold feature (recommended for small brew amounts), two brew set timers, and the ability to pour while still brewing. Most coffee makers can't get the brew pause right, but this one does not drip or make a mess in the filter basket, no matter how many times I remove the carafe during brewing. The only minor issue I had is that you must ensure you get the water tank fully seated. My first 2 attempts running water through the system, I didn't get it seated well. The coffee maker will not start brewing until you have the tank seated properly, but will beep twice and give indicator that the brew cycle is not active. After about 5 uses, the seal seems to break in, and now it always seats the first time. Overall a great basic coffee maker, hands down the best in its price range.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a coffee maker that makes good coffee. Programming it is a breeze and wonderful for when you're running a little behind in the mornings. Easy to use. The "pause to pour" feature is nice, but keep in mind drips will happen. All in all, it's a beautiful coffee maker that fits with my kitchen decor

Works well and good design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The coffee maker has a nice set of features and well thought design. 12 cups max capacity should be enough for home use and it brews coffee pretty fast. The water container has a handle so it is easy to fill fresh water from the tap; this way you should not accidentally spill the water. Initial setup is easy. For first time use, just set the coffee maker to brew water twice before using real coffee, as suggested by the manual. I use “bold” setting to make coffee for two to four cups as suggested by the manual. It works well with the dark roast coffee. Though this is maybe a simple product to use, confer the manual to get the best results. Pay attention to the kind of filter you use on the machine as this may affect the brew. The auto set feature also works well. You can wake up with freshly brewed coffee each morning. Overall, a nice product.

Great coffee machine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everybody needs coffee sometimes right? This coffee maker will feel almost all of your needs. It never needs filters as it has a permanent filter that you can reuse over and over. One cool feature is that you’re able to select how strong you want to coffee from light to medium to strong. Another cool feature is it has two timers. What does means is that you can set a time, for example whatever time you normally wake up in the morning, and your coffee will start brewing automatically. The black glossy finish is a nice touch to this appliance and will look nice in any kitchen.
