    Great food processor!

We have a smaller food processor, but it only holds a couple cups so we were looking for something larger to handle bigger jobs. This one checked all the boxes for things we were looking for so we decided to give it a try. Out of the box this thing can be a little intimidating. It comes with many different attachments and blades and you can get lost on what to use ands what to put where. I recommend doing a search for YouTube videos for this model. There are a lot of great ones out there that show you exactly what to do! There is also an included manual, but I have always been a visual learner, so its easier for me to see someone using it. We got it all set up and ran it through its paces for a few days chopping up vegetables and shredding cheese for pizza night, as well as making the dough. I even tried making some homemade potato chips and found this to work great for getting nice and even slices. We found that is sliced and chopped through everything with ease. The motor is definitely powerful enough to get through and foods you want to throw at it. The operation is also very simple. Its basically only 3 buttons. Low high and pulse. So its great for people who may not be so technologically inclined. Cleanup is also very easy, quick rinse and throw things in the dishwasher and you’re all set! One thing I do want to note is there are a few different models of this food processor and each one comes with different attachments. For example, this one doesn’t come with the dicing attachment (which I was kind of bummed that I didn’t see) So, make sure you look at the chart and buy the correct model that does everything you want it to do! Overall, it’s a very solid machine with a bit of a learning curve. But once you get the hang of it, it’s a great tool to have in your kitchen arsenal! Also, it is backed by a year warranty which is amazing for small kitchen appliances.

Low Quality! The Worst KitchenAid ever!

I received this as a Christmas gift. Used it twice! and it stopped working! I then returned it for the same model thinking that I probably received a defective machine. The 2nd one I used about 2 to 3 times and that one stopped working as well. I returned it a third time and decided to get a different model all together. Horrible machine! Would not recommend!

    Don't buy for kneading dough

I bought this food processor for only 1 purpose , that is to knead dough and it failed terribly at that. The dough is inconsistent in texture, hard and watery. It seems that the blade is too small and not designed to knead. You would have to finish the job manually.

Pro: -Dice evenly -Blade storage -Relatively quiet Con: -Feed tube too small for bigger cuts This is a big food processor so it does take up a bit of space. It comes with four different blades including a multipurpose blade, shredding, slicing, and dough blade. The motor is quieter than I expected. The multipurpose blade is very close to the bottom of the bowl so the food on the bottom gets cut evenly. The shredding disc is reversible for fine or medium cuts, and the slicing disc can be adjusted for varying thickness by turning the knob on the lid. The shredding and slicing disc works fine, though some food can get caught between the blade and lid. The feed tube is too narrow for bigger cuts like cucumber or zucchini without needing to cut them down first. I like that the storage of all the blades and accessories is well thought out. The storage caddy holds all the blades and adapters, and the caddy can be stored in the bowl. There’s space on the bottom to wrap the power cord in. Everything is kept together so I don’t have to store the extras somewhere else. All the parts come apart easily allowing for easy cleaning.

I have always enjoyed quality with items from the KitchenAid brand and this is no different. This is intelligently designed with the way the accessories are stored. It gives you a wide range of options which means you don’t have to rely on several different gadgets to get done what this one can. There are also other attachments you can purchase to make this an even better assistant in your kitchen. Assembly and use are super simple. It runs quietly (more than any other similar item I have used) and so far has handled everything I have fed through it like a champ. It’s a bit bigger than expected so if you have limited counter space/clearance you may have to store it in a cabinet or you may need to partially disassemble to get it to fit better. That’s something that easy to adapt to but it’s worth keeping in mind. Overall this is a great addition to my prep and cooking arsenal.

This food processor has it all. Right out of the box, the first things one will notice about this product by KitchenAid is the quality "feel" of this product and the size of this product. At 13 cups, this product is likely good for a pretty moderate amount of food for the majority of folks, I'd imagine. The build quality of this food processor feels like it can handle just about anything you want to throw inside it. Of course, I would not recommend just throwing any food inside, but I'll touch on that in a short bit. It also has an nice compartment feature that holds the product pieces well together. On top of the build quality, this product is also pretty user friendly for the "average, everyday consumer." Included with this product are different discs and blades for different uses, such as dough, sauces, salsa, cheese, and more, which are interchangeable and come in handy when also wanting to slice foods at varying thickness. Also, there's a cool storage "caddy" to store these items in. Even for someone like myself, who is probably somewhere between novice and intermediate when it comes to being in the kitchen, this food processor and the accessories with it have helped me make some amazing things so far. Additionally, this product is easy to clean, which I love. I think we call all agree that no one wants to spend extra time cleaning and washing kitchen products if we don't have to. While this food processor has been a joy to use, probably my most favorite thing to make with this product so far are peanut butter and banana smoothies. I've definitely upped my smoothie game and I look forward to using this product for as long as I can. Awesome job, KitchenAid!

I’ve been using this for everything from slicing to dicing and it has been the perfect small appliance. It’s very easy to clean and I really appreciate the fact that everything stores within the device itself. I’m a notorious crockpot cooker and that’s partly because the preparation time for most meals is a pain considering I have my in-laws who have dietary restrictions, my wife and I who are trying to east healthy, two pre-teen sons who are extremely particular about what they eat and a 2 1/2 year old who is just as particular. Needless to say, I feel like a short order cook most days, so anything I can do save time and make it easier on myself, is appreciated. With this, I can slice all of my vegetables in advance, store them in the refrigerator and then get them out when it’s time to cook or throw things into the crockpot for dinner. There are several other accessories that are available and that I am considering purchasing so that I can make better use of this small appliance. You can check out KitchenAid’s website and see what they have.

Food processing more than a blender

This is one of the first real and true food processors that I've ever owned and used, and I am so glad that I came across this. I always wondered what the point of food processors were and figured I could just use my mini or main blender to do the jobs that this could. But boy was I wrong. The complexity of this device is amazing from someone that doesn't really cook much in the kitchen! I had no idea that there were different blades for different types of slicing and depending on what you're slicing. Also cool that there's a feeder where you can put things through without the splashing involved. The cleanup is not so easy, but that's to be expected I guess. I mean it's just like hand washing any other dish, but you can probably put in the dishwasher as well, but I like to manually wash items like this. It's very easy to use and intuitive and makes sense. I'm pretty tech savvy and this can be used by anyone really, I don't think there's really an age limit for using this. It's very sizeable, and overall a really great product.

This food processor has been amazing. I have been using it nonstop. I have shredded potatoes for homemade hash browns, made my banana bread batter, sliced veggies and meats for a little platter and more. It has work flawlessly and really saves so much time compared to cutting it all by hand. The build quality is top notch. It doesn't feel cheaply made at all and has some decent weight to it. Clean up after use is very easy. Everything comes apart and is simple to clean. I love how the discs and accessories all fit inside the canister so easily. It makes it simple to store when not in use. Overall, I am absolutely in love with this thing and think it should be a must have for anyone who enjoys cooking. Great job KitchenAid!!!

Amazing, works wonders to help prepare food. Makes it easy to chop and make food quickly and In large amounts. My favorite part is the storage piece to keep all of the pieces together it is so simple yet so smart. The processor works so well my wife was able to make some granola bars for the kids and mixed peanut butter with granola and honey. Our blender has problems mixing this and the processor had no problem doing it.

I am new to the food processor world but they had me hook, line & sinker when I read about making homemade salsas and making Taco Tuesday a from the kitchen event for my family and I. Again, I’ve never used anything like this before and it was super easy to set up, understand what to do & ultimately what to start making so my family and I could have some salsa to start. Wow. It is like the fresh restaurant style not the canned or made a few days in advance style that some restaurants use. It was insanely easy to make and was super fresh tasting! I loved it! As did my family! Next up we tried to make fries from whole potatoes. Was super easy and we had French fries to cook in no time! Even my kids were enjoying this. It reminded me of being a kid again and seeing my parents cut potatoes by hand to make French fries…no need to do that anymore! All in all we are extremely happy with the KithchenAid Food Processor. We are looking forward to trying even more new items to cook! It has put the fun back into our cooking!
