Great product for chopping and shredding cheese. Since we are limiting processed foods. This was a great investment

I have had so many different varieties of this kitchen tool before, but this is the best one I’ve had so far. Definitely a must have for anyone who loves to cook.

True to the KitchenAid brand this food processor is attractive and classic looking and compliments all of the other black KitchenAid appliances that we own. It has a very substantial feel despite being made of plastic and at 18 inches tall it fits perfectly on the kitchen counter beneath my cabinets.
This food processor replaces the need for several other kitchen gadgets. It’s powerful, not overly loud while running, handles large quantities easily (13 cup capacity), and I love that all of the accessories store neatly on a small storage caddy inside the bowl when not in use. I have used this machine to make salsa and to puree veggies for soup and tomato sauce. It definitely cuts down on prep time when making recipes and would be a great addition for anyone that meal preps or makes homemade baby food. I have yet to try the dough blade but have plans to make banana nut bread in the near future.
Assembly consists of snapping the bowl on and adding the blade or slicing disc you want to use. The three-button operation is a no-brainer (low, high, off/pulse) and it cleans itself when you run the machine with a bit of dishwashing liquid and some hot water. It’s advertised as being dishwasher safe but I’ve found that hand washing extends the life of things-especially small appliances. A dial on the top of the machine allows you to adjust the thickness of your slices without having to reach back inside the machine and the feeding tube keeps your fingers safe while pushing ingredients into the bowl. I did find that I had to cut larger items like cucumbers and potatoes in half so they would fit into the feeder opening but this has been a given with all of the food processors I have owned.
I am very happy with the performance of this machine and find myself seeking out recipes that will require me to use it. This would make a great gift for anyone that loves to cook.
