It makes wonderfully clear ice and is very dependable! My old model did not have a filter and required more cleaning. The addition of a filter should make this model very low maintenance.

Delivered to my residence Monday morning. It was 450 miles away in Dallas Tx. Installed on Tuesday. No problems. Complaints about noise are unwarranted. Only noise we hear is ice dropping. Sales people were knowledgeable and Best Buy price matched Loews Corp.

The only negative is the opening and the ice scoop is a little small. Note: I have big hands. Would definitely recommend.

We never run out of ice (and we use a lot) and the ice is of a great quality. It's worth getting a warranty, because over time you may spend more money to repair this appliance than any other. Still, we think it is so worth it.

good ice - terrible performance

But we have had continued problems - it basically just quits making ice. Turn off/clean again/call the repair people - who change one thing, then it quits again two weeks later. Save yourself the aggravation - avoid this ice maker!
