This KitchenAid microwave replaced a LG microwave that was repaired THREE times in less than 2 years. We had purchased the extended warranty so received a credit from Best Buy towards the purchase of new microwave. This microwave is VERY solid, the door shuts quietly, you can hardly hear it when running and the touch pad is solid and works well (the touch pad and door were inferior on the LG). Would buy this product again and now recommending to friends to purchase KitchenAid.

Great microwave. Installation was fairly easy. Looks great, especially with a KitchenAid range. Works as expected.

I love this microwave! It's so big and spacious. it is very modern and stylish in the kitchen and really updates the style of the house. The best thing about this microwave is that you can't even hear it's on.

I have been very happy with the performance of this microwave. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. Cooking has been even and efficient. The styling of the unit compliments my other Kitchen-Aid appliances. We are very happy.

This thing is really smart and beautiful. The sensors on it adjust to the heat need to cook the food or heat the liquid. And the finish of the device is really impressive. We are completely sold on it well after purchase.

Love the microwave. Big inside and heats up food great. Only thing I dont like is the auto fan, haven't been able to figure out how to disable that. It turns on when it senses something and you can't turn if off for like 20minutes

Have had the microwave for little over a week but so far extremely happy with it in all respects. The kitchenaid black stainless steel finish is great, easy to clean, the alarm letting you know its done is more of a chime thats nice instead of some loud buzzer and while i'm still just experimenting with the features, already in love with the sensor steam automatic settings. I have a separate steamer I used to use for veggies etc. but I think the sensor steam function here may render it useless plus I prepare it in the dish im storing in the refrigerator. Takes even frozen veggies and seems to perfectly steam in less time than my steamer would!

Replaced a 22 year old built-in KitchenAid. This one is slightly deeper and certainly more powerful. The controls are easy to understand and it works perfectly.

I love this microwave. We actually bought it in place of another brand new microwave that didn't meet our standards. This has surpassed them in every way. It's quiet, and built to last. Very easy to install.

Classic KitchenAid style. And, it's a microwave with a number of pre-set timer buttons. It's pretty much like most microwaves out there. So, I'm giving it 5 stars primarily for the sleek design. My only complaint is, the clock illumination is bright white, whereas the coordinating Kitchen Aid oven's clock illumination is more gray-white. They don't match, despite being the same age. Not a huge deal. But, if you're a stickler for aesthetics, that's a miss on KitchenAid's part.

Love my new Kitchenaid microwave. Also, the installers, Will and my other installer did a great job and were very professional and courteous. I feel bad I can't remember the other installer's name, but they were both top notch. Actually, they were better than the communication I received from Best Buy. If I were to give stars to Best Buy, I would give a 2 star. But the microwave is a 5 star and the installers deserve a 5 star.

i really like the looks of it, easy to use with 30 second quick start plus sensor and power settings, 2 light settings and 4 fan settings from super noisy to almost wonder if it's working! Not sure about the inside gray slightly rough finish only used not quite a month and have a food cover so not sure how it goes for cleaning surface - time will tell. It does make a loud noise initially when starting to cook a bit clunky in that way s/b quieter start.

I replaced an old OTR microwave about 2 years ago with a fairly expensive Samsung. To my dismay the magnetron started to go after just 2 years. While the part was under warranty, the labor was not, and it was actually not worth it to fix. A salesman told me he recommended the Whirlpool family (Whirlpool, Maytag & Kitchenaid) over Samsung & LG. I debated between this model and a convection model and ultimately went with this one since I don't have much need for the other features. It was easy to install and so far it's doing well. I did purchase the extended warranty through Kitchenaid just in case anything happens like last time, but I'm hopeful this brand makes better appliances.

This unit replaced our previous kitchen aid that was a microwave/convection combo . The previous unit felt like better quality materials ( buttons, interior material, door weight etc). Although our previous unit only lasted about 4-5 years before the door fell apart and the display malfunctioned. Replacement door would have been $300. This new unit was $700 new, but we found open box in “excellent” condition for just about $300. It feels cheap by comparison , makes noises when running, door squeaks but works fine otherwise. Hoping to get more years from this unit.
