This unit replaced our previous kitchen aid that was a microwave/convection combo . The previous unit felt like better quality materials ( buttons,interior material,door weight etc). Although our previous unit only lasted about 4-5 years before the door fell apart and the display malfunctioned. Replacement door would have been $300. This new unit was $700 new, but we found open box in “excellent” condition for just about $300. It feels cheap by comparison , makes noises when running,door squeaks but works fine otherwise. Hoping to get more years from this unit.

I selected this microwave based on KitchenAid quality reputation. I did the installation myself and it was very easy, the templates were spot on. As far as the performance of the microwave it is quite and has several settings that allow you to cook anything that you want. This is my third KitchenAid appliance and when it is time to replace my refrigerator I will not hesitate to buy a KitchenAid..

Microwave only been installed a month, so not too much experience with it yet - & it will be some time to take advantage of its many features! So far, it's been great, though as stated, there are lots of cooking/defrosting/warming options yet to be put to use. This oven replaces a Samsung microwave that served us extremely well for about 6 yrs - util it just stopped! Followed Consumer Reports evaluation on ovens that contained all the features we loved on the Samsung, & this KitchenAid came out on top, though it's bit more costly than the Samsung was at the time. Hope in a year or so I can give this KitchenAid a 5-star review, but just don't have enough experience with it yet.

Our old convection microwave wouldn't work anymore so I had to go on the hunt for a new one. This one ended up being the exact same one without the convection feature. We were able to ensure dimensions were the same before buying. And when it came time to install, it ended up being rather easy.

This microwave is amazing! Senses when things are thoroughly heated and cooks them perfectly. Love the rack inside to be able to heat multiple things at once. 10/10

Our old microwave stopped working so I went searching for a great microwave at a good price and this was the unit that stood out amongst all the rest for top performance, style and value. I like most everything about this microwave, but it is 3/4 of an inch taller and a little deeper than my previous microwave so beware. I had to call in a granite cutter to cut the back splash so it would fit - which was a royal pain - but just the same happy I did it looks and works great!.

Works well and looks good in the kitchen. Great purchase.

Have had for about 6 months now and we love it! This completed our Kitchenaid black stainless appliances. Reason for 4 stars, is light underneath is not really bright, even on highest setting and the the automatic exhaust fan does not work on most occasions. I realize that this may sound trivial, however if it is a feature that is advertised, it should work! Overall satisfied though!

We were "forced" to buy this microwave because it was the only brand where the door on the microwave opens flush with the unit. It was more expensive than we wanted to spend. However, we really do like it. There are so many features that can be used with just a few touches of a button.
