Good basic refrigerator with French doors that we love. Also after fighting with in door ice makers this model has ice maker in freezer where it belongs.

like the black stainless steel look, just wish it were on the sides as well. a bit noisy when the ice maker fills with water and when it dumps ice into the tray. Otherwise a beautiful machine with ample glass shelves.

Excellent quality product. Looks good on the outside and inside (nice lighting). Only drawback is the ice maker is sometimes noisy when it dumps ice, makes a popping noise.

Bad design, more for good looks instead of functionality. You have to open the freezer every time you need ice, and refrigerator door every time you want filtered water. Sometimes when you have the freezer door open, ice cubes will fall behind the baskets and later melt on your kitchen floor, or they will prevent your door from closing completely. I have replaced the water hose once for leaking and the tech told me "they all do this". Ice maker does not keep pace for demand from a four person family. The sliding bracket holding one side of the ice tray started sticking and then broke off completely. Getting filtered water means opening the door every time and letting cold air escape. The adjustable door storage boxes are made from thin plastic, and almost all of mine are cracked after just three years. The insulation trim on the doors also started peeling off after the first year. Positives - The water filter is easy to replace. This is the fourth Kitchen Aide fridge I have owned, and the only one I have disliked.

My KitchenAid counter depth refrigerator was delivered 3 weeks ago. I wanted the Whirlpool version of the refrig but it wasn't available. I was told the KitchenAid was the same unit. I discovered one important difference is that my KitchenAid lacks the finger print prevention feature that its Whirlpool twin has. Pretty significant difference in my book. Still getting used to the very small inside. While I don't "lose" items hidden in the back as I did with my non-counter depth refrig, this refrig has a small capacity. For example, no way to store a 2 liter bottle vertically, and the ice maker and tray consume a good portion of the freezer. My biggest gripe is that 3 weeks post delivery, I'm already having problems. Last night the refrig inexplicably went from a temp of 38 to 58. I was on hold for 30 min with Whirlpool service center and then told that a service tech won't be available for 5 days. I'm out a refrigerator full of perishables and worried that, with problems surfacing just 3 weeks into the life of this appliance, its long term reliability is highly suspect.

I will start with I did alot of online shopping and comparing, between Loews can and best buy I found lower prices on the same goods that were at "appliance stores" the Salesman was EXTREMELY helpful and courteous couldn't ask for more. Unfortunately, the refrigerator came damaged on delivery, as of this time we are awaiting replacement. The one delivered runs and was left with us until the new one comes, that was a great convenience, not always given. The delivery team, too, were extremely helpful and with the damaged model we were given three choices, full replacement, discount, or a notation of it's condition in case it broke within a certain time. We opted for the replacement. As for the product, one serious peev turns out to be the large vegetable drawer, it's way cheap seeming and I am concerned as to how long it will hold up. Also, the sides are NOT the same material/texture as the front, something I was unable to see in the store due to how the display was set up. I think quality is seemingly ok, made like all the others I looked at, but with a made (assembled? @@@@@@@ in the USA tag. I do, however, appreciate the counter depth, not cavernous and easy to navigate. What I don't like, is I couldn't get a model without the ice maker in the door, yet still get that 4th "middle exterior drawer" as such, I had to give up the drawer, as I did not want to loose frige space to the icemaker. Basically, this was a "settle" for purchase to have a plain door. Nothing exciting, but it's doing its job.

We are a family of two and there is absolutely not enough room in this fridge to meet our needs. Forget going to Costco, you won't be able to store much in the freezer. I find it interesting that in the photos they don't even show you the freezer compartment. THERE IS A REASON! Also, if you are not cautious when closing the doors, you can accidentally leave them open. You must close the right before the left. Forget it if you have kids. You'll drive yourself crazy following them up to make sure they closed it properly. Once the freezer is full if there is the slightest item out of place it too will deceive you leading you to believe it is closed and then when you open it everything will be filled with frost. After owning it for 2 years the ice maker is broken. It won't stop making ice! DON'T BUY THIS!
