Very nice refrigerator

First time w French doors, and lower freezer. Outside of getting used to the huge change from a traditional refrigerator/freezer, its a nice refrigerator. Had an issue with water leaking from dispenser, but Best Buy replaced with no further questions. Shelves can be adjusted, which wasn’t explained on first installation. So there is more flexibility than first thought. Costco people may find challenging, since bottles and jars are larger and take up room and door space quickly.

I have not owned this refrigerator for three years yet, and now I’m forced to dish out an additional $979.92, plus $134 for a diagnostic inspection. Turns out the defrost, fan and seals need to be replaced. It’s been two weeks since the repair guy told me he needed to order the part and now he said it’s going to be another week before he can get to it.
I am extremely disappointed with KitchenAid, I only felt safe spending $4,409 on this appliance because I believed they were a solid company and brand name. I feel completely disgusted and robbed that they would not stand behind their product.
If this company had any integrity, they would make a recall for this model (KRFC704FPS) and replace their faulty compressor that is a known issue.

Still getting used to the new design, but I'm loving it! There's room for everything and nothing gets lost as so often happens in other fridges. Produce seems to last a lot longer compared to my old fridge, I love the size and shape of the ice cubes too!

At his point, I just want my money back. Bought this model 4 months ago. Initially, it arrived with a huge dent in the front door. We sent it back and Best Buy replaced it with a new one about a week later. With that one, the water dispenser didn't work at all. So we sent that back and Best Buy replaced it with another new one. That one worked for 3 months. Then it didn't cool at all. Had to call Whirlpool to schedule a technician to service it. Had to wait 2 WEEKS before someone could come out. Once he got here, he found that TWO of the fittings were not installed so it had been leaking coolant ever since we plugged it in. He "fixed" it. Added coolant. But that didn't fix it. Fridge still wasn't cooling at all. Called Whirlpool again the next day for them to schedule service to come back. Had to wait ANOTHER WEEK for him. Turns out the compressor wasn't working at all. Whirlpool had to order that part. Waited 10 days for it to arrive... and another week for the technician to be scheduled. He installed the compressor a couple days ago. Fridge is cooling. But the FREEZER ISN'T AT ALL. So frustrating. I cannot recommend this model. Tech guy had told us this is the 2nd fridge of this exact model he's had to service for the same issues. I just want my money back so we can purchase another brand. We have gone over a month without a refrigerator and using our small beer fridge to tide us over.

Definitely the best looking counter depth refrigerator currently on the market. Energy Saver mode is not recommended for high humidity environments as it might leak from the ice maker; I was unaware before I purchased. I would have still purchased it had I known. It took some getting used to as it does not sound like the Kitchenaid refrigerator I replaced. The fact it’s an American company & America made was definitely what drew me to purchase another Kitchenaid.

This would be a 5. But the first one did not work. After taking it home, setting it up, waiting for it to cool. We had to remove, load in a rental trailer again and return it. Then wait 4 days to get the replacement and repeat. This one is working fine.
However Joe and Travis were Great!!
They made a bad situation much better.
We returned to Best Buy Cascade station to purchase another major appliance soon after. Best price best service.

Ordered for my new home. I can't wait to get recieve it and have it installed. Looks beautiful on the inside and out from the multiple times I've seen it in person. Only downside is there is not an icemaker in the freezer.

purchase item 4 years ago and a extended warranty. Have had it serviced twice already. Icing issue repaired under extended warranty. 2nd service cracking of interior surface of refrigerator. Extended warrant would not cover claiming cosmetic defect. Advised them that it is not cosmetic but a manufacturing defect and operational defect. Called Whirlpool same brush off and would not cover repair. If they continue to not back their products they will become just like General Motors dropping in customer satisfaction, sending their customers to foreign manufactures.

I have had this refrigerator for about 2 months. Easy to see what is on your shelves. Efficient use of space. Stainless not really fingerprint proof. Measure your space at home and this in person. Listed dimensions a little less than actual. Barely fits in the cabinet framing.

Love the space and multiple features of this refrigerator. It was though it knew my need for options and were all there. A perfect compliment to my black stainless steel kitchen look and don’t have to worry about the hand or finger prints from the grandkids.

When our doddering Jenn-Air bit the dust because a digital control board was no longer available from parts suppliers, we trudged out to shop for - ugh - refrigerators. We had good experiences with KitchenAid products before, and this refrigerator seemed to have what we wanted... plenty of usable, easy to clean, - and visible! - space, with no wifi, smartphone-connected, "IoT" hacker bait. Visible space is important to us, because we tend to forget items that ultimately evolve into exotic, disgusting, alien lifeforms. This machine is an engineer's (which I am) dream However, we were a bit concerned about previous reviews complaining about the icemaker. Those concerns were, I'm glad to report, utterly groundless.
Recommend without reservation.

Have owned for a month now. Great design to maximize space. Largest in the counter depth size. We like the ice size (small cubes, not the traditional half-moon shape. Quiet. Bottom freezer is well-built while many others don't have same fit and finish.

The new Kitchenaid appliances are made very cheap, everything is now low grade, the doors, drawers are all made of thin metal and feel very flimsy. The doors on this model were too thick and sticking out too much even though it’s called a counter depth

Just received this top of the line Kitchen Aid fridge. Love the ice makein the door and small cubes, but it dispenses loudly. Plenty of room in this counter depth, shelves are adjustable, but not enough height for multiple large drinks. The retractable shelf is good, but I don’t prefer the placement of it. I don’t like the fact that you have to open both doors in order to open a couple of the drawers. The freezer space is very large and organized with shelving.

To be fair, the comments about the beauty of the fridge and the functionality for a counter depth size are spot on. This may be the best looking refrigerator I have seen. That being said it is complete trash. After 60 days the fridge began making an extremely loud buzzing noise. Some have called the fridge noisy, but I actually found it very quite before it started to sound like a weed eater. It is NOT a normal sound for any refrigerator. It is so loud you dread the thought of opening it and even with doors closed we hated to be in the same room which is problematic for an open floor plan. We returned it, BestBuy was understanding and suggested it was likely a lemon and this model was the best KitchenAid had to offer. So we agree to try a replacement, new one came and it would not get cold nor make ice after days. We threw away a lot food. With all the other negative reviews about the refrigerator failing outside of warranty and lengthily repair times it was not a risk I was willing to take. So we gave up and returned it for another Brand. Our geek squad delivery guy also said he has picked up so many of this model as a return for the same reasons. A real shame because if this unit simply performed the most basic functions of a refrigerator well, this would be as good as it gets.

Nice black stainless finish with beautiful platinum and wood interior. As with all counter depths you pay more for less. Both fridge and freezer compartments are relatively small and require you to limit your shopping due to capacity. It's a KitchenAid so remember it's just a glorified Whirpool.
