Basic Microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was a kitchen remodel and we followed the instructions precisely to fit the microwave into our now modified center kitchen island. After the install we felt that the controls and selections are hard to read and would have been nice to have a back lighting option. This is with an Extremely well lit kitchen. The drawer functions perfectly and smoothly. Everyone I've talked to and have seen/used this in operation like it, but complain about it: operating anything on the control panel is hard to see. Overall if you like to spend a lot of money for having it under the cabinet this is PERFECT. Otherwise I've seen/used counter top and over the oven microwaves that BLOW the doors off this one in features for a 16th of the price. We all call this the most expensive microwave on the planet...under the counter microwave! And it is a running joke in our household. It's true! It does work great, looks good, has a gee whiz factor, impress your friends and family...and most importantly the wife loves it. So we will be keeping it. But it truly is a basic microwave....that goes under the counter.

It works fine, but there are about 14 "buttons" on both sides of the clock display with no backlight. The panel is very difficult to read unless you stoop over or squat down to read the options. It is poorly designed.

We had to have a service person out twice to work on it. They had to replace two parts on a brand new microwave! The price is too high for the quality. I do like the convenience of the drawer though.

Good looks, Bad for practical use

Steam from anything you heat vents across the control panel causing it to start a random cycle after about 3 minutes of use. Panel is then unresponsive and won't allow you to cancel the phantom cycle. Looks good but isn't practical to use.

Fire hazard
