Replaced a 15 year old Thermador unit with this one. The Thermador was quieter (barely noticeable), and much quicker in its cycle and always sanitized on a normal cycle. This unit requires a high temp wash or sani-rinse to be selected to sanitize. And when those cycles are selected, wash time seems to be 3-4 hours. If you add the extended pro dry the time gets even longer and the drying level is not worth it. So in summary it is a quiet dishwasher, but simply takes too long to wash and dry. Also the extra 3rd rack is useless and I removed it (removal is easy and in the instruction manual) in order to fit taller glasses in the top rack. If you wash dishes at night while you are asleep you won’t notice the extra long cycles but If you wash during the day or like to run a cycle while prepping Thanksgiving dinner or other large meals, do not expect your dishes and pots to be done in time to reuse.

The good: so quiet I had to put my ear to the door to make sure it was working. The not great: it takes 3+ hours to run on the normal cycle (but it does have a fast cycle). The long time is not a big deal, though. Dishes are clean. Very happy, especially the quiet.

This is the best dish washer we have ever owned. It is so quiet that you hardly even know it is running. It is erasure to load and the dishes come out sparkling clean. You can’t go wrong buying this dishwasher it’s Great.

I am very happy with my purchase of this Kitchen Aid dishwasher. It is super quiet and I don't even know if it still on unless I look at the white or blue light next to the handle. This is my first dishwasher with a third rack. Gets dishes clean.

We purchased this dishwasher as an open box item. We had wanted a KitchenAid for a long time and found this amazing deal at Best Buy. They wrapped it up and we took it home and installed it ourselves. We’ve had it for almost a month. KitchenAid was the brand that we had wanted and read reviews on for a long time. It has been amazing; everything that we thought it would be and more. We love the steel tub and door, the dish rack extensions, and it’s amazingly quiet. Everything comes out clean; not having to hand wash items afterwards. It’s true that you get what you pay for and these machines are worth the money but we got a stupid deal on it. It’s simply a great machine and we have every confidence that will be using us for many years to come.

Quietest dishwasher we have ever owned. Does a great job of cleaning so far.

This is my first dishwasher, and I couldn't be happier. It operates simply, cleans well, I can fit a ton, I love the 3rd top rack for travel mug lids and odd shaped utensils, and I can barely hear it. Super happy.

Best dishwasher Ive ever owned -- quiet, clens and drys exceptionally well

Looked for several weeks and selected this dishwasher based on apparent quality, reviews and recommendations from various sales associates. The dishwasher is extremely quiet and cleans very well, even when the kids load dishes without rinsing.

We’ve had the dishwasher for over a year and still constantly surprised by how quiet it is! The dishes come out sparkling clean. We’ve enjoyed the 3rd rack for silverware and the bottle wash feature.

I traded in my Bosch for this KitchenAid. So quiet that I have to put my ear next to the dishwasher to make sure it is running. It is easy to load. And the drawers slide so easily that I am amazed. Oh, and it cleans the dishes great!

Our old dishwasher started falling apart, so we bought this one. The reviews were great, which I really appreciated. My thoughts: cleans very well. I love the sensor mode and the extra drying option. The dishes are CLEAN and DRY - which is the reason to actually have a dishwasher. This is not marketed as the most “quiet” dishwasher but should be. I seriously can NOT tell if it’s even running. There is a tiny light that turns blue when it’s running (white when complete). My old one had a timer in the control panel to tell me how much longer - but that is the only thing I miss. I like that the very top drawer can be removed sometimes. The water bottle washer is handy for specific kitchen items that need extra cleaning. I’m so happy with this dishwasher!!!!

Awesome dishwasher. Extremely quiet. Hard to tell if it’s even on. Love the finish. Wish it had some more indicator lights to tell where in the washing process it is.
