This dishwasher has an attractive design and practical 3rd rack. We love it in the first year. However, it started leaking after a year or so. The leaking started mild, since we noticed that the Dishwasher sometimes was not able to be turned on and have to be re-plugged in. The situation worsened after a year or so, when we finally figured out what happened. The leakage was already so bad that we have to stop using it immediately, and the warranty was expired at the time. We have to spend half of the original price fixing it.

I normally have good luck with Kitchen Aid brand, BUT It is the exact opposite of my former Jenn Air .... I have only owned this for a few months and so far dislike almost everything about it. 1. And most importantly, it does not clean the dishes. Have tried all the different cycles. I have yet to get a single load out that I have not had to wipe some sort of residue off at least some of the dishes. The "ProWash" seems to be the worst. Daughter ran a load three times to get the dishes tolerable. What a waste of water, soap, electricity, and time. WHAT GOOD IS A DISH WASHER THAT ONLY GETS DISHES WET? 2. The top tray doesn't seem to do anything, so I moved the silverware down to the side holders. Didn't help that much, they were still not clean. 3. The controls are strange at least to me. One selects the main cycle then within a certain number of seconds, one has to select the options. Some options don't work with certain cycles. There is a whole page of what goes with which (like I really want to read the instructions every time I need to do something a bit different). The worst part is when you make a mistake it starts flashing and beeping, but once an error is made seems nothing will let it go back to normal. Instructions say to press and hold the CANCEL/DRAIN button. Doing that it wants to drain. So one gets to fight the control panel each use. 4. The dish racks prongs are all straight up and down and fit NONE of my dishes. Too wide for the dinner & side plates, too close for either shallow or deep bowls. I can fit some of the medium glasses on the edges of the top tray but it is too narrow for the large glasses. The next row in from the edges are too bumpy to fit any thing nicely. Heaven forbid one has a large pot or pan. The picture shows them on the bottom front facing in, but as near as I can tell one must have other dishes there to hold them in that position. SO everything basically ends up laying flat so there is no capacity at all, or standing at awkward angles, and not "tight" so apparently when the water hits, it just giggles them around instead of scrubbing? 5. Claims to be really quite. And it certainly is not noisy. But once again compared to the Jenn Air is louder. I can hear it running. 6. The "User Guide" is made of news print paper and is folded, very strangly. I think because of the multi-language deal. None the less to read it one must flip, turn, unfold, refold. Most annoying and is not going to last long at all. Which is too bad because of issue #3 above they are going to be needed for a long time. 7. Dryer doesn't seem to work at all. Dishes come out with water dripping all over. Inside of unit is ALWAYS wet even when there are days between washes. Really, really, wish I would have spent the money to fix the Jenn Air instead of buying this unit.
