of all the dishwashers i've shopped this one had appeal

It as installed and the installers did not test it--had they done so they would have readily found that it was defective---water POURED OUT OF THE DISHWASHER all over my Pergo kitchen floor into and onto the whole of the room....as well as extending into the dining room which has carpet. JUST AN AWFUL PURCHASE. I bought another one at2x the cost and will fight for as long as I need to WITH MY LAWYER to get my floor replaced not just at the dishwasher area,but the entire area that haas the same Pergo flooring---which they don't make anymore...and the same with the dining room carpet.

Not a fan of the silver handle but so far so good.

I bought this dishwasher to replace my previous KitchenAid dishwasher which was 12 years old. It had always worked great, but develop a very loud noise, used it like that for a year. It was getting louder and louder so I decided it was time to replace it. I can’t load this dishwasher as easily or with as many dishes as I could in my old dishwasher. Top third rack is a joke. And now in the last three weeks I have noticed it’s not even getting my dishes clean. My dishes are totally rinsed and almost clean when they go in the dishwasher. Fingerprints easily! After doing some research I believe the problem is a $250 repair for a pump. Very disappointed will not by KitchenAid again.

We bought this specifically because it was a 'pro' dry. Yet, all our dishes have water drops (lots and lots) - new pipes, new plumbing - so I believe the problem is the new washer.

God dishwasher. Controls not intuitive. Owners manual poor.

the control panel could be more user friendly for the customer.

We’re on our third service call. Dishes come out filthy. There is no disposal in the unit, so food gets moved around and left behind. Would never buy another KA appliance, based on the quality and reliability of this unit.

When the unit runs, the dishes are clean which is why I gave it 2 stars. If I didn’t have the issue below, I’d be giving it 5 stars. Unit doesn’t want to run the cycle after you close the door. It seems it doesn’t seal properly. Sometimes it’ll start running and a few minutes later it’ll stop with blinking lights and beeps. Now I have to have a broom keeping the door closed by pressure. Called KitchenAid and service guru due in 2 days so we shall see if this is simply a defective unit.

Very Quiet Unit and have been happy with the unit until today about 1 1/2 months after the warranty expired. The Diverter Motor failed and the top rack is not getting water and no wash on the top rack. I think there's a conspiracy where the manufacturers are purposefully designing the unit to fail after the warranty. Totally unethical and cheap behavior.!! Just make sure you purchase extended warranty and factor that in the purchase price.

This replaced a 5 year old Kitchenaid that had a lot of plastic parts break in it. The metal shelf runners with bearings sold me on trying again... this one doesn't get dishes clean unless it is on heavy duty setting.

This dishwasher failed to dry dishes every time, even using the Prodry setting. It does not seem to use electric heat to dry dishes. We have to leave the door open and ran an external fan to make the dishes dry. Very disappointed! Our old dishwasher always finish with dry dishes - except it was noisy. The only positive experience with this expensive new machine is that it is very quiet.

It's a great dishwasher and I had my plumber do the installation and there was a leak in the supplied hose, we think, and there is a replacement dishwasher coming 4-7-20.

I loved the idea of the 3rd drawer for small items, but it does not seem to clean very well. So far most everything we have put up on the top rack has had to be rewashed in order to get it clean.

I hate that it is so hard to start...you have to hold the button down. I often forget, I wake up to dirty dishes. You must hold start button down for a long time and wait until lights show up...annoying

Energy savings mean less heat for drying, so some items wet. Top bonus shelf did not work for plastic lids. Love the cup-specific spouts to completely wash coffee cups stains.

Quiet good looking machine. However dishes not coming out clean. I have only had it for three weeks now I m ready to send it back.

I purchased from best buy in Greensboro,nc when I got it home the box leaked from my car to my kitchen the only thing i can thing of is this store has a leak in there roof and the box got wet so hopefully the electronics are fine it seems to work good besides finding a piece that has already come of after 2 loads I'm really disappointed in this purchase and won't purchase from this store again
