Good oven, but the Cooling fan is too loud
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good oven, but the cooling fan was way too loud and would stay on for 45 min after the oven was turned off. We talked with the salesman and he said due to the small size they sacrifice insulation so it needs a powerful cooling fan. We ended up expanding our cabinets and exchanged it for a 27in KitchenAid double oven.

Disappointing performance and quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a replacement for 24" double convection oven (KitchenAid Architect II) just before Christmas (of course!). Not many choices! Bosch, Gaggenau, Miele, etc. were all much more expensive. Opted for the KitchenAid as our prior model lasted 10 yrs and performed well. Electronics board finally failed (heat damage from the self-cleaning feature) and parts are not available. I hoped this newer KitchenAid model would perform similarly, and with care it might last 8-10 more years. Installation was smooth. Perfect fit. However, the oven's performance has been very disappointing. The user interface is horrible. Convection oven cooking options are limited. Bottom oven has exposed heating element. It is more energy efficient, however pre-heating takes much longer, and the oven temp drops 25-50 degrees low before correcting. Also, the convection fan does not stay on continuously during the baking cycle. All, I suppose, in pursuit of energy efficiency. As a final irritation, the lower oven door and racks rattle with upper oven fan operating. Next time, or maybe even sooner, I'll opt for one of the premium brands. They take performance and quality seriously. In my opinion, the extra cost is worth it.

This oven is the worst!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst performing oven I have ever used. Even my old double ovens that I had for 25 years worked better than these. They must not have any insulation to speak of because my kitchen gets as hot as the inside of these ovens. The top oven gets hot and continues to get hot until I am forced to lower the temperature and food on the right side of a pan gets done way before the other side. The bottom oven doesn't appear to get hot enough. I don't trust the temperature when it is set on convection bake. It doesn't seem it gets hot enough and it takes food forever to get cooked. The cleaning cycle doesn't get the glass on the door very clean. I used a method I found online to try to clean it using baking soda and hot water. I let it sit for 10 min. and came back to find the water and baking soda mixture had leaked into the oven door between the inside/outside glass. I will now need to take the door apart to get it clean. The mixture also leaked out of the bottom and sides of the door leaving baking soda all over the bottom oven. I guess I now know why my kitchen gets so hot. They are not sealed. I did tons of research before buying these ovens and thought I had made a great choice. I guess not!

Don’t waste your money!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give it 0 stars, I would! The worst appliance I’ve ever owned! Kitchenaid sold a faulty oven & has been out 4 times already & it’s still not working! It’s louder than my 20 year old oven & doesn’t hold the temperature. We have to constantly watch the food being cooked & reset the oven to ensure our food cooks!

Garbage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in Oct-2017 Self Cleaning cycle fries the circuit board. Stopped using it. The circuitry has been completely replaced three times. Larger fans were added to see if that corrected the issue... Oven is broken again...... Glad i got a service contract... Go with a different brand. Looking to replace the oven already .. Tired of dealing with repairs.

Junk
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It takes 25 minutes for the convection oven to heat to 400 degrees F to bake biscuits and 15 minutes to heat to 300 degrees. The interior is so small that a full size cookie sheet will not go in it. Do not purchase. I purchased it because it would fit in the same space as my old oven.

Defective blower fans
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hard to find 24” double oven. Kitchenaide is made by Whirlpool. Whirlpool makes these with defective blower fans. There are 2 fans that run during warm up and cool down. They make a terrible whining sound. Once fixed the oven performs well.
