Great decision!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great dishwasher! Quiet and cleans well. We had a hard time finding a dishwasher and this one was more than we wanted to spend, but we needed it. Worth the money for sure! Highly recommend.

The Don't Build Them Like They Used To
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit to replace my Maytag mdb7759aws0 from about 11 years ago which I paid $500 for. The only reason I was thinking of replacing it is because my racks started rusting and the top rack is no longer sold. Here are the things I do not like about it. -- It takes over an hour longer to complete the cycle from my old Maytag (2:45 vs 1:21). -- There is now a manual filter you need to clean out every so often. My old unit had a self cleaning filter. I didn't even know this existed. For a premium brand I would expect this to not even be here. -- There is a float now at the bottom and the manufacture doesn't give you enough slack to remove the electric clip. If you aren't careful enough you will rip it I guess they added the float because of previous issues with the diverter o-ring leaking. Have they fixed this issue, no idea? I also was reading other reviews about something breaking off the filter and causing the water pump to lock up and overheat. Not sure if this issue was addressed. Whirlpool needs to do a better job instead of trying to cheap out on everything. These aren't that much quieter from my old unit and at what cost, the electricty running for over an hour more? This unit is going back and I've put back in my old dishwasher which has had 0 issues. I just ordered a new lower rack and will get a used upper when the time comes.

KitchenAid dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no complaints about the operation of the dishwasher. However, it would be good to know at the time of purchase that a power cord and a required brass adapter for the water input are not included with the item.

New kitchenaid starts on first try
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our prior kitchenaid was temperamental when it came to starting. After several tries, it would start. Our recently purchased kitchenaid, starts onvv by the first try! It also washes the dishes.

Dishwasher runs forever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after getting dishwasher put on normal wash and it ran for over 2 hours , read direction and it said that this can run between 2 to 4 hours. I thought this was a energy efficient dishwasher but if it runs this long how much electricity this will use in one wash cycle also the finish suppose to show when full but you can't see the liquid through that dark black bubble thing.

Only works for a little while
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great- for a short period of time. Stopped working after less than 4 years. Had it checked and the electrical board is out so there’s no fixing it. Not really what you expect from a thousand dollar dishwasher.

WARNING!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY!! I helped my 87 year old mom buy this almost 3 years ago. It has a defect and class action lawsuits. The seal and pump motor diverter shaft is defective. IT CAUSED A LEAK UNDER THE DISHWASHER WHICH SPREAD UNDER ALL THE LOWER KITCHEN CABINETS!! Now my 87 year old mom had to have everything torn out! Repairs are thousands.

Lemon
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought in March 2020. The control board froze and needed to be replaced in 6 months. Then is happened again in 6 months. During covid, the replacement board took 3 months. Then, you guessed it, 6 months the board froze again. Our so called "KitchenAid expert repair man" said we needed a separate power line for the dishwasher so the board would stop blowing out. Spent $1200 getting that done. And 8 months later, the board froze again. Customer service would not help with a replacement dishwasher, only extended my warranty for 6 months. Now I am off to buy a new dishwasher. Very expensive mistake.
