This dishwasher is pretty quiet, not super whisper quiet, but we don't have to turn the tv up to hear over it. The stainless steel interior is awesome, and there's plenty of room inside for all the dishes. We have hard water, and if you make sure you fill the jetdry tank, add a splash of white vinegar, and add some Lemi-shine, everything comes super clean and the inside of the dishwasher stays nice and clean. The only thing it's lacking is some basic features such as a light wash cycle and delayed start. But we decided for the quality of the washer, and the price, they were features we could live without. We compared this washer to the Bosch in the same price range, and this washer was definately of higher quality. It's also made in the USA (Grand Rapids, MI I believe) instead of Germany. Gotta keep our people workin. So I would recommend this dishwasher. If you want all the other features, then you can drop another hundred bucks and get the next model up. But we got this one on sale in the 500 dollar price range, so we would have had to spend two hundred for the next model up.

    Good Dishwasher

Apparently, KitchenAid is now a Whirlpool product. The price at Best Buy was far below that from other local dealers. The installation instructions were very good. However, one of the countertop anchors broke during installation. A part required to connect to water supply is not included - I ended up cobbling a substitute together at the hardware store. Dishwasher is extremely quiet - we can hardly tell its running - so it doesn't interfere with TV listening. It does a good job of cleaning pre-rinsed dishes, but didn't do so well with heavily soiled dishes even on heavy-duty cycle - I had to scrub them by hand then rewash those items. Even so, it still does a much better job than the old Hotpoint which it replaced.

This is the best dishwashe I have ever owned. No matter what we put into it--they dishes come out clean--with no extra soap. My husband thought it was to expensive but now he thinks it was worth every penny. No glass streaks--no residue--just clean dishes. Looks plain on the outside but sure makes up for that on the inside.

This unit came with everything needed to install. The brass fitting from the old dishwasher was the only item I had to reuse. Dishwasher works great and my wife loves it :-)

We've had several dish washers over the last 14 years and this little machine takes the prize! Very quiet, efficient product. Definately recommend!
