Beautiful! Excellent quality of this refrigerator. This built-in was a perfect fit. The original cut out was 84” x 42 3/8” x 25” Depth for a snug fit. The LED lights have not gone out (in the manual it says they’re lasts a lifetime) The glass shelves are durable. The led lights adds an elegant touch. I did notice the freshness in veggies lasting longer. It’s very quiet. The handles are durable and the exterior with the print shield definitely keeps the clean look longer. I was initially concerned to lose the depth space but there’s plenty of space with the extra shelves up top. The freezer has two drawers that glide with ease. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

This product is the for the 42" fridge made by Kitchen Aid. To begin, the esthetics of this product are actually really nice. Very visually pleasing product. However, the material it utilizes are not what you would expect. The front of the fridge is not made out of stainless still as advertised as none of my magnet are actually able to stick to it. Installation by the Best Buy team was actually pretty simple but it does require 3 people. Now for function, the fridge is definitely higher than other fridges. However, the amount of space you would expect from this fridge is actually limited compared to what you are used to with other deep fridges. This is counter depth, not to forget. The amount shelves are actually not designed to be efficient as we have to now keep one of the shelves off because otherwise, any of your tall bottles of juice or soda may not fit. The side doors are also pretty cramped. We have some bottles of sauces that actually do not fit in the side so that have to be placed on therein shelves and that takes some spaces. Pizza boxes and what not are not going to fit as well so dont expect the space the you would from a french door. The freezer in itself is also pretty small and limited in space. So far, for the mechanics, our product works well. The water dispenser and ice maker are actually pretty pleasant to work with. The ice bucket filled up after barely a day and the water is pretty crisp tasting. Overall, its an ok product that does what it is advertised but like i said, it definitely will need a little better design for space and functionality especially for the price it cost for the extra 6" only that is added. Otherwise it is usable.

Fingers crossed that this built in refrigerator gives me no problems for at least 10 years. I got a great deal on it, but it was still expensive! The fingerprint proof coating is great. Easy to wipe of stains with just a cloth and water. Ice maker and water dispenser work great. It does what it’s supposed to do without any issues. What more could you ask for these days?

Although we had to replace this unit twice, in the end it’s terrific. First unit had multiple issues: noisy when cooling, constant rattling, and dim interior lights to name a few. Replaced but installer broke one of the leveling pieces. Replaced for third time and experienced several month delay due to availability. Finally received new unit July 2021 and no issues to date. Beautiful unit, quiet, water and ice dispenser work great - great end to a long journey. Of note, throughout the exchanges, damage to unit, delays and rescheduling issues, Best Buy team members were always professional, courteous and helpful. Several went above and beyond. That’s why we stuck with it and continue to purchase from Best Buy.

Well built, spacious and smart features make this a great buy for your custom refrigerator. There are lots of options out there but the kitchen aid has solid construction and makes great use of space. I love the extra height at the top for those large containers. The way each section is divided also let’s you see what you have and use it instead of letting it get lost in the back of the fridge and finding it when it goes bad. Ice and water are well integrated and you don’t need to have both doors closed to make use of it.

We bought this to replace our previous model - which was 17 years old. It was beginning to go out, and parts weren't available. This is a better version of what we had. Perfect fit to the old built-in space, however water line is tricky, and this beast is heavy - get a pro to help install (but not from Best Buy - their 3rd party logistics with XPO is terrible).

This refrigerator was expensive (for us), but we needed to replace the built-in Subzero unit that died. We did not enjoy the installation process and first unit delivered was damaged. The sales associate at Best Buy was very patient, understanding, and worked with us to finally resolve all our installation issues. The product is, however, exactly what we expected and paid for.

Let's start with built ins are inherently more expensive and offer less space for the money. But given our kitchen was designed with a cut out for a built in, there was just no skimping and having a refrigerator that hung out more than it needed. We replaced a prior gen of this similar model that lasted us 16 years, so I felt comfortable staying with Kitchenaid. The space of this model appears to be better utilized on the inside relative to other 42" models that I compared. I like the configurability of the inside shelving and door. This also makes it easy to just pop these out for cleaning. The unit cooled down in about 3 hours, and then after about 8 hours we found ourselves raising the freezer a bit as it was really cold. The ice took about 24 hours to fill up and now it keeps up with the demand of my family heavily using ice in the summer. The unit is also quieter than our prior unit when it is running the compressor, and the old unit was not lout at all, so this is a plus. It was delivered and installed by the Bestbuy team and they were very professional and safe in the current climate of the pandemic.

After 5 years of minimal-normal the center panel cracked! Also, the lights on this are continually failing and are very expensive and difficult to replace,

Waited four months for this KitchenAid built in Refrigerator was worth the wait. Needed it to replace 14 year old Jenn Air that died. The kitchenAid is a very nice unit. Lots of room and the ice maker on the door is very nice. Was delivered on Christmas Eve. The fridge cooled very fast. Loving it so far!

I needed a new 42" built-in refrigerator to replace a 15-yr old unit that's no longer working. So far, I can definitely see that the new frig is noticeably quieter than the old one. The bright interior LED lights light up all corners of the interior, again a huge improvement over the old unit. Water and ice dispensers also work flawlessly. Great frig.

We will be excited to know when we will receive this fridge..we ordered it 5 weeks ago...at this point, we still have no information on arrival. Hopefully it'll be as good as we think!

The refrigerator is great, no complaints. We had to replace our existing one. However the price for a built in refrigerator is ridiculous. There is less room than a standard and I do not understand the exorbitant cost.

This refrigerator replaced a GE Monogram of the same size. The refrigerator compartment is very large, but the space was taken from the freezer, which is too small. The ice/water dispenser is not tall enough to fit a large tumbler to fill. I cannot just reach-in and get one ice cube to cool a very hot drink. The digital display indicates what the unit is set to, but not the actual temperature. If there was a problem with the refrigerator, it would not be evident until the food warmed up. Top shelf in refrigerator is difficult to access.

This is our second KitchenAid Built In Side by Side Refrigerator. Last one lasted us over 10 years plus. This new model has beautiful lighting inside. Great size as fits lots of food and beverages inside. The new handles on the refrigerator helps avoid handprints. Was a little surprised when found out the price of the new model had gone up so much. But decided to purchase it due to the good history from our prior model.

Beautiful refrigerator but water still has a funny taste 3 weeks out. Hopefully that will resolve itself. The trim was bent and damaged and can not be repaired. The kick plate that came with the unit was non-conforming for ice/water in the door. BBY is trying to make things right but a slow process that is frustrating after buying such an expensive unit. With that said, I would say my experience has caused the lower star rating more than the product.

Was supposed to get delivery the Saturday that I bought the product and then two days later was informed at the product wasn't coming in till another week. Poor communication by Best buy on this one. Becomes a really big deal when you're working with a built-in refrigerator.

I like this refrigerator. It’s easy to use with plenty of spaces. The installation guys were very professional.
