Just purchased the French Door KitchenAid Refrigerator. I love the freezer on the bottom and the ice and water in the door. This refrigerator has the ice maker in the very top of the refrigerator shelf section. It is smaller and does not take up a chunk of your space inside the refrigerator. The ice then dumps in a dispenser in the door. It has nice large bins in the doors also for storage.

Bestbuy says on its website that free installation/hook up is included with an existing water line which we have. When their delivery team arrived, however, they refused to hook up the fridge because our existing water line was plastic (the delivery team claimed that they have policy not to touch any plastic water line). Solution? The delivery guy asked me for $100 to install it for me off-the-book, so I guess for $100 they would touch the plastic water line after all. :)
After they left, I peeled off the blue protection tape of the KitchenAid nameplate. Guess what? The nameplate fell off too! Seriously? For a $3,000+ fridge? And it can't be put back without super glue. Now I don't want to touch anything of the fridge. If I open the doors, are the doors going to fall off too?!

I bought this to upgrade my refrigerator. The finish is clean. The space is immense. There is one shelf within that rolls back 1/2 way to allow for taller items on the shelf below and still have shelf space above. My only critiques are the ice maker does not fill up to the brim in the container and can be noisy/ surprising when not expecting it.

I bought this almost 3 years ago, and loved it because it is gorgeous and roomy. I was hesitant about buying a refrigerator with an ice maker in the refrigerator compartment, because how well can that work? The sales person assured me that it would be fine. It’s NOT fine—the ice melts/sublimates quickly. Plus, the ice maker does not produce much ice—it takes pretty much all day to fill the container. If that were the only problem, I would still love this fridge. BUT, within a year, it started to develop cosmetic issues around the water dispenser. I thought it was dirt, but it’s some type of corrosion. I clean the outside every week, and this would not wipe off. Now, in the last several months, it has developed some type of rust which is below a coating—it is actually liquid and moves around underneath. Very unhappy with this.

I recently purchased this refrigerator and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The circulation is fantastic, ensuring that all my food stays fresh for longer. It features a sleek and modern design that complements my kitchen beautifully. The built-in ice maker and fresh water dispenser are incredibly convenient, making it easy to enjoy cold drinks on demand. The fridge is user-friendly, with an intuitive interface that simplifies temperature adjustments and settings. Overall, this refrigerator combines aesthetics with functionality, making it a perfect addition to any home. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and efficient appliance.

We love the layout and capacity of this fridge! It is a little bit loud and makes some funky noises, but it keeps things evenly cold and holds a lot of of big stuff. I like the adaptable shelving too.

Fridge is big and spacious, zero complaints. Very sleek design, shelving is on tracks and pulls out nicely. Only complaint stopping a five star review is the ice maker. Even with Ice Plus it cannot compete with the evenings cocktail hour.

This is the first KitchenAid fridge I’ve bought and I have to say this fridge is worth every penny. I’m a big fan of the separate water and ice dispenser, our old fridge had one dispenser for water and ice and it was a pain to switch back and forth. The standard depth is a big bonus for us too, it has ample amount of space for all of our drinks and food. Overall a 10/10

Fits our needs fairly well. Like the various pull out drawers. The pull-out shelf doesn't come out all the way, which is a little annoying. Otherwise works fairly well for our needs.

Nice Refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator to replace our previous French door stainless steel refrigerator (not KitchenAid) because the water line ruptured inside the refrigerator and leaked through our wood floor. Ugh! I like how this freezer drawer is organized compared to my prior refrigerator/freezer. We always stuffed food against the freezer door to optimize the freezer space in our old freezer. This freezer drawer has a storage space against the door, which is nice. It also has small middle storage area in the upper and lower storage drawers, which is nice for organizing small items, such as ice packs. I was concerned about bigger/deeper door storage on this refrigerator taking up valuable shelving space, but it does not seem to be a problem so far. We do not store our milk in the door, but on the upper right shelf of the refrigerator. My only complaint is that if you lower the upper shelf low enough so the top of the milk jug does not rub on the ceiling of the refrigerator, the middle shelf is so narrow that you can only store small items like yogurt or narrow storage containers on the middle shelf. Also, the lower shelf height seems to be a bit narrower because the deli drawer is deeper than the previous model. Also, the water is not chilled as cold as our previous refrigerator, which everyone in the house complains about, so you must use more ice and it melts a lot faster. Not a huge issue, but definitely a change over our previous refrigerator, especially for those who don't like ice in their water, but prefer it chilled. Refrigerator is very quiet and so far we love the improved LED lighting. Also like that you can still use the ice/water even when the right hand refrigerator door is open (where both doors had to be closed to use the water/ice on our previous refrigerator). The print shield seems to work well on the outside also. So far, very happy with our new refrigerator. Would purchase again.

First of all, these are Kitchen Aid products. Great product and quality with the perfect flair for design and ease of use. Lots of space in the refrigerator along with a easy access freezer, which was our original goal. Very easy product to use and access alon* with a fairly smudge free outer doors. Microwave is also very user friendly along with doing what microwaves do best. Nice useable products with quality galore. Certainly a “Best Buy”.

Avoid Buying this product

I was warned by a neighbor that they had to get their KitchenAid replaced twice and then serviced. I bought it anyway - bad idea. The product was delivered with a dent on the front panel but at least it worked (made ice, water came out, etc.). So, instead of having a new one delivered and risking it not working, I took the $300 gift certificate from Best Buy. Two weeks later, the ice maker stopped working and Best Buy has directed me to figure it out with Kitchenaid. I am still trying to get someone from Kitchenaid to come out and fix my ice maker. The product has a feature called "Max Ice" because it doesn't make a lot of ice in the first place. Now it makes none. Also - the refriderator is MUCH noisier than my previous kitchen aid.

Very nice looking but the shelving positions are limited. To achieve a side by side shelf, there are dimples in the support rails that interfere with each other. In the freezer, the middle separators have limited side movement, but are not removable. I still have my old refrigerator so when I pluged this one in I put breakfast bowls on each shelf and on each shelf in the doors and each drawer. I let them sit for 24 hours and then recorded the temperatures. I never did this before on a refrigerator and it surprised me. Temperatures vary from 32.7° to 42°-44°. After I took the bowls out I thought about maybe the defrost cycle added a few degrees to the doors but I wasn’t gonna go back and empty everything out to check it. The lights are nice. The freezer is -5°. The ice and water options on the door are nice well. Don’t have to open the door to get ice or water. I didn’t expect to have to open both doors to pull out a crisper drawer, but it seems that way. Full length drawers obviously require both doors open. I had a top freezer single bottom door 20 ft.³ refrigerator. This refrigerator is much larger but I don’t have the layout down yet. So it seems to hold less. If you have a family and use gallons of milk, this may be an awkward refrigerator to use. My old refrigerator could hold two 1 gallon jugs and two half gallon bottles of soda on the door. I now realize that the doors are substantially warmer than the main body of the refrigerator. I got this refrigerator with a good discount and I think I’ll get the arrangement down and will like it. I’m going to continue to look at refrigerators and educate myself on the options. All round cooling with a see-through/access door may be more appealing next time. My question again would be how warm does a reach through door really get?. I expect a Kitchen aid refrigerator to have quality and hold up overtime.

Great looking refrigerator. The ounce setting for the water dispenser is a nice feature and there is a ton of room. I’d say the downfalls would be the ice maker is a little aggressive and the drawers and shelving are a little flimsy.
