Very good oven with intuitive controls

The ovens run very quietly and the regular to convection conversion is both simple and extremely efficient to use. We also love the reliability of the Kitchenaide brand!

Problems with unit

When you open the oven door during cooking and steam escapes from oven, it gets into the control panel and shuts down the unit. Difficult to restart because oven must cool down first. The self cleaning is fair and owes not clean oven door well. The section between to the two oven window panels does not get clean an you must take door apart to reach this area. had repair man come to fix and he(as well as his manager) state it can not be fixed and is a problem with this unit. Offered no satisfactory solution, just basically to live with it! Will never but KitchenAide products again!

Product defect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a new Kitchenaid double wall oven to replace previous one that I had for 12+ years (heat was escaping). W/in 6 months, I found a loose screw on a tray of french fries I removed from the oven. I contacted cust svc (still under warranty) and they sent out a repairman who didn't realize that there were screws inside the oven. After he found the location of the missing screw, he screwed it back in and I thought that was the end. A few months pass by and I'm baking a casserole and I notice a screw this time at the bottom of the oven. I believe this is a safety issue and no longer feel comfortable using my top oven as I do not want anyone in my family to get injured.
