Loving the new Kitchenaid Double Wall Oven

Very nice, high quality double convection oven. It replaces our previous similar model that only had convection in the top oven. They managed to make the lower oven bigger, and now they're both the same size, and both offer convection. VERY NICE! Also, the controls are clearly organized and easy to use. The only thing I don't love is the fan that runs during cool down. I may look to see if I can turn that off. Great appliance!!

I picked this unit because I have had very positive results with other KitchenAid appliances. I installed it myself, and it was relatively easy. It's a two-person job because of the weight, but it wasn't an overly complicated task. I has more features available than I think I might need, but better too many than not enough.

This was a replacement for my old Jennair double ovens that I loved, but it gave up the ghost on Thanksgiving day. Look wise this is more glitzy than the Jennair. I prefer a more subdued look, however I've gotten many compliments on it's good looks from friends and family. With the oven lights on, the bright blue background glows. It looks fabulous. and the door glass looks like there won't be an issue with spills between the glass which are impossible to clean.
I love the double convection, in my old oven only the top oven was convection. I love roasting meats in a convection oven.
The control panel is quite sophisticated. It coverts recipes from regular bake to convection. It even tells you when the oven is cooling down. My only worry is the same I have with all of the electronic controlled appliances--how long is the control board going to last, and how much is it going to cost to replace. The old turn dial appliances lasted forever.

KitchenAid 30’’ double oven

I purchased the KitchenAid 30’’ double oven in December 2022, and initially, I was excited about the possibilities it offered for cooking and baking. However, my experience with this appliance has been nothing short of disappointing.
Just a few months after delivery, I started encountering multiple error messages on the oven, causing it to stop operating in the middle of cooking or baking sessions. This resulted in ruined meals and wasted food, which was incredibly frustrating. I reached out to KitchenAid for assistance, and they sent technicians to repair the control panel under the warranty. Despite the repair, the issue continued to recur, and I found myself in the same predicament repeatedly.
Each time I contacted KitchenAid for help, I was provided with the same troubleshooting steps to reset the oven. However, these steps were ineffective, and the problem persisted, causing further inconvenience and food wastage. I made numerous phone calls over the past few months in an attempt to address the issue, but to my dismay, KitchenAid has now stopped responding altogether.
The lack of resolution and the poor customer service I have received from KitchenAid have left me extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. The constant malfunctioning of the oven has significantly impacted my cooking and baking experiences, and the failure of the company to provide a lasting solution is disappointing. I expected better quality and support from a reputable brand like KitchenAid, and I am deeply disappointed by this ongoing issue.
In light of these persistent problems and the lack of effective resolution from KitchenAid, I cannot recommend the KitchenAid 30’’ double oven to others. It has been a frustrating and disheartening experience, and I am left with a sense of regret over my purchase decision.

Renovated our kitchen after 20 years and decided to buy all KitchenAid appliances. Lots of features, including a thermometer insert option; switch from convection to regular oven and adjust the temperature or time to convert traditional recipes to convection baking. Relatively simple to use. First baking of brownies turned out great!

I wanted to wait several months of having this double oven before I posted a review. Well now a couple months have passed and this oven just got us through Thanksgiving and a Holiday Party and we were super pleased. Love the aesethetics of it and the blue interior and a breeze to use. Haven’t even read the manual yet and was pleased to find it had a stick for cooking a turkey to keep track of the internal temperature of meat. Price through Best Buy was the best all around!

Love the look of the new ovens. They are very modern looking and easy to use. The one drawback I have is the fan in the back is a little loud, other than that, cooks evenly.
I hope these ovens will last a long time.

This oven is amazing. I previously had a 13 year old GE Profile double oven and the Kitchenaid is far superior. Preheats in just minutes unlike my old one that could take 15 or more minutes. Advanced technology is amazing and cooks incredibly evenly, especially with it being a double convection oven. Exceeds my expectations!

Whats nice about this oven is that both top and bottom are full size and BOTH have confection capabilities. This was important to me because being Kosher we have to separate milk & meat so now I have a full oven to do both, in confection or regular mode, without sterilizing it in between. This feature would also be handy for people who have family dinners & run out of space because now you have two large ovens. The microwave is not in the top oven since its a full size oven/confection so I just have to find a small microwave to put inside a cabinet which will roll out. For us this is better because I never cooked in my microwave anyway, I just used it to heat things up for leftovers, so I only need it to be a regular size for a large plate. This oven iis beautiful on the inside & when the lights are on, the glass is so clear it looks like there is no glass so its easy to look at your food when you are cooking without letting the heat out. It also has a thermometer to put in a big roast before you cook so you can see how its cooking without opening the door. I Love these features.

Very nice KitchenAid 30” Built-in Double Stainless Steel Wall Oven looks so pretty in our newly remodeled kitchen. KitchenAid’s Stainless Steel is so shiny and much nicer than other brands, in my opinion. We also bought the KitchenAid built-in Microwave, which looks like a miniature version of this oven. It’s built-in right next to the oven, big and little versions, so cute. I’ve only used it a few times, but it works just fine and food taste great. My husband loves to eat and can’t wait for me to cook our Thanksgiving Dinner in this oven. Thankfully, BestBuy had this oven in stock and we were able to get it right away. BestBuy is a reputable, trustworthy company and we will always buy from them.

This is a great product and the delivery/installation went very well. The KitchenAid double oven replaced a 10 year old Bosch and we think the quality and use are very comparable. The KA has a larger interior than the Bosch. The KA also has less variable cooking features, but honestly most of them we never used. The KA is also convection top and bottom whereas the Bosch was only convection on top. Lastly, the lighting design in the KA is much better. This may be a minor thing to some, but the KA puts the interior lights on the side (instead of the back). This actually makes it much easier to see how your cooking is progressing without the glare of the light blinding you. All in all a great kitchen appliance.

Reluctantly replaced my working GE double oven from 22 years ago with this KitchenAid double oven to match our other new appliances that we recently had to replace. Love the bright blue interior of the ovens. Love that both ovens are convection (my previous double oven only had one convection oven). Still need to read the instruction manual to understand all the features but I love them so far. My only complaint, which is very minor is that It would have been nice if you could turn the oven light on the ovens separately, so you can turn the light on the oven that is being used only instead of both ovens lighting up when the light is turned on.

Easy to use, no issues so far! If I had one suggestion, it would be to have a timer for each oven. If you have dishes in both ovens, you can only set a timer for one, and have to use another kitchen timer (or phone, as I do!) to time the second dish.

convection conversion is a nice feature, but haven't used it much. overall great to have a 2nd oven again. seems to take a while to preheat. comes with temp monitor which is great, but it wouldn't let me use it mid-bake when i tried to change from timed convection to temp monitor. have only had it for about 2 months though so can't speak to longevity.

We are on try #4 with this oven. First one had a bent part, so instead of replacing the part, best buy can only replace the whole oven. 3 Weeks later, and many hours of phone holding, (8+)we are able to schedule a replacement. A week after scheduling the appointment time comes and goes. No call, no communication, no email, just a no show. Long story short, oven #2 finally gets installed. Works great for 1 day, then stops working. Repair person says that it needs to be replaced and puts it in our garage for pick-up. ANOTHER 3 weeks later we have an appointment to install oven #3. The installer calls and tells us this oven is all dented up and he doesn't think it can be installed. We have to call and set up ANOTHER appointment to get another oven and get it installed. So another week and another 5+ hours on the phone with so called "customer service" and we have an appointment for 2 weeks later to install oven #4. The oven might be great, but do not get it from Best Buy.

I purchased an older model of these ovens 5 years ago at our previous home. When we moved this summer, our new home had a single Thermador oven. Even though it is a more expensive oven, it did not compare with the KitchenAid I owned that was 5 years old. We recently purchased these ovens and they are wonderful. They are large enough to hold 6 13 x 9 pans and the convection feature works beautifully. I highly recommend these ovens.

Awesome size inside both ovens, can't fit XL pans, etc. Cooks evenly, lots of features, easy to use. Chose this over the Thermador for the interior size

Severe Issues and Poor Customer Service

I strongly recommend avoiding KitchenAid’s double wall ovens. We spent over $10,000 on KitchenAid appliances for our new construction home, and these ovens have been a complete disappointment. In just 10 months of living in our new home, with fewer than a dozen uses, we’ve encountered two major problems:
1. Temperature Issues: Both ovens drop temperature drastically during use, regardless of whether one or both are in operation. This makes it impossible to cook anything reliably. KitchenAid admitted this could be due to a defective control panel and agreed to send a replacement part, however for but for a new oven to have this issue and the next issue is unacceptable.
2. Paint Chipping: Both ovens have significant paint chipping on the interior—large flakes of paint are peeling off, some ending up in our food. Despite this being a clear safety hazard, KitchenAid dismissed it as a “cosmetic issue.” Their response? They suggested I cover my food while cooking to avoid paint chips.
KitchenAid refuses to replace the ovens and has only offered a 20% discount on purchasing a new unit—this after admitting the control panel may be defective and after seeing the attached photographic evidence of the extensive chipping. They claim they don’t address cosmetic issues after 30 days, ignoring the fact that this goes beyond a cosmetic issue and into safety concerns.
I’m deeply disappointed with KitchenAid’s lack of accountability. For the price paid, I expected far better quality and service. These ovens are essentially unusable, and KitchenAid’s refusal to stand by their product is shocking.
I’m sharing this to help others avoid the financial burden and frustration of purchasing this product. I also urge KitchenAid to reconsider their stance and take responsibility for a dangerous and defective product.

Oven has been fantastic so far. Only negative is that for some reason the bolted in rack that slides out was placed at the top of both ovens, rendering it useless and also minimizing the useful square feet of the ovens. I am having Best Buy come back to see if they can fix (I am assuming they can). Operates relatively silently and quick to preheat. One thing that is both a positive and a negative is that it takes a while to cool off after you turn it off, but that is probably because the insulation of it is so good.
