I must have had the most annoying glass stove top on the planet. It would take forever to cook anything and I had no control since the glass retained heat like a volcanic rock. I had to use a motorized brush to get the grime off every single time I cooked. And it was a white glass top. All this took the fun out of cooking. Since getting this installed, cooking has been cleaner, faster and easier and fun again.It looks great and is a perfect fit. The burners consistently light easily and the stainless steel under the grate is super easy to clean. I m so glad for converting from electric to gas and really glad KitchenAid made installation seamless so that cooking is fun again.

If you are looking for a gas cook top but are limited in size to a 30 inch model, you can't go wrong with this one. You get 5 burners and have more than enough space to have several pots/frying pans going at once. I love this cook top. It looks great, works great, and is easy to maintain.

This cooktop is awesome, the heat from the burners is so much greater than I've ever cooked with prior, I love it. Easy to install, but measure after removing your old one to ensure it fits nicely without too much modification. I did have to make minor modifications to the cooktop backside, it was either that or cut granite, either way I'm very happy with the outcome and the products. I purchased the oven to match.

Nice fast and even cooking...favorite gas stove/cooktop yet. I’ve used large pots and pans on the front burners at the same time with no problems. Knobs don’t heat up if you don’t cover them with pots or pans. Only negative is that the lettering is faded. Not enough of an issue to return it though.

Replaced a 4 burner with large burners in the back. The knobs are moved farther toward front of counter which increases cook space. Same dimensions feel larger. Center burner does what it says, fast boil and very low simmer. Brushed finish is a little hard to clean, but resists fingerprints. We like!

Love our new cooktop! It’s perfect in our kitchen. I love the middle burner for those larger pots!

Quite happy with range and install, eventually. Not so with saleslady, who didn't alert us to optional service of having tech visit to make sure the appliance would fit, which led to 3 visits to install!

It looks great and works beautifully. Easy to clean.

We are very happy with our new KitchenAid cooktop, everyone in the house have been using the new appliances and enjoying cooking more than ever.

Works great but slightly larger dimensions to prior Kitchen aide 4 burner (13 years old). Installer had to cut the counter to fit. BTU’s appear slightly lower than prior model but fifth burner is a welcome improvement.

I love the features of this Kitchenaid Gas Cooktop! It is easy to clean and I love being able to control the heat!

Item came defective. Etched numbers and flame levels are not able to be read on the display panel. I can barley read the word "KitchenAid" on the unit. Knobs are cheap, ignition to the burners is slow and controls do not operate smoothly. For the price, this unit is made cheaply. BUT, EVERYTHING NOW SEEMS TO BE MADE SO CHEAP. Samsung ovens break after three weeks....LG washers and dryers are such JUNK!!!! This unit is almost in that catagory. I am SO SICK of buying new things for lots of money, and have them be broken or defective right out of the box. I really want to focus on the used market from now on.

Used almost a year. No complaints. Performming well with no issues.

After less than a week with nothing really cooked on it the burners are starting to pit and become discolored. Looks terrible after a week and I don't think I can return it!

It has now been a month since I installed this cooktop, replacing oddly another Kitchenaid down-draft vent glass top cooktop about 9 years old. A. I had no idea a gas cooktop could heat differently. This one is so much more even, and I can control temperature so precisely, this is a night and day difference. B. Coming from glass, you'd think that was easy to clean...not compared to this cooktop. DO NOT use chemicals to clean this cooktop...all you need is some Dawn on a kitchen rag and this thing shines up really nice, and easy. If you get a stain, just put a little drop of Dawn on the stain and let it sit for 20 mins, and voila...it will lift off. C. We thought the controls being front and seemingly close to the grates, it may be easy to accidentally touch them and burn yourself. Not an issue at all because the knobs are so big. Net of all this, because this is such a nice cooktop, we have probably increased cooking from home to 5 to 6 days a week where in the past...we hated our old cooktop/range hood and got a lot of takeout. It is not a pain to use...you'll love it too...

I recently replaced all the appliances in my kitchen with matching kitchen aide appliances. I am very happy with the refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. This cooktop however does not seem to have the same finish on the stainless steel as the other appliances. The stainless steel has a rough texture, like a very fine sandpaper. When you clean you don’t get a nice polished feel. I worry that this finish is going to really grab onto debris from cooking. The graphics around the controls are barely visible, almost look like they are laser etched, but there is no contrasting color..you have to look at it at just the right angle to read…not that much of an issue since you really do not need the graphics once you have used it and know which way to turn to control the flame. I am concerned with the chrome discs that are under the control knobs, they only seem to be attached with adhesive that is on a rubberized ring on the underside. The first time I cleaned after using, I removed the control knobs to make it easier to wipe around them and one of the chrome rings popped off…this is probably going to be an issue as I do not see what will keep these in place once the adhesive stops working. The iron grates also do not feel like they really lock into place, there are bumps on the top of the stove that fit into divots on the bottom of the iron grates, these should be more pronounced.

Only gave 4 stars cause it is hard to get a low flame. Works good but only one burner in the middle truly can I get a simmer flame. Is frustrating at times. Love the look and cleaning hasn’t been bad

This cooktop is very nice and replaces a KichenAid we had installed in our kitchen 25 years ago. It is easier to clean and I appreciate the sealed top. The center flame is very strong and with 5 burners now, we can't go wrong.
