The kitchenaid downdraft cooktop was purchased over six months ago to replace a similar model JennAire cooktop. We suffered a long time with the older cooktop and could never get the manufacturer to remedy its flaws. Needless to say, JennAir and Kitchen Aid are now owned by the same folks. My wife and I are completely happy with the Kitchen Aid. It has a quieter exhaust fan, the grates are more substantial and the butter melting burner was a complete surprise. The overall finish is much nicer and the knobs are more substantial. It has much more of a professional feel and is more efficient than the model it replaced.

We bought this to replace an almost 26 year old Jennair cooktop. It is beautiful. We are very pleased with the look and the metal grates on top. They are heavy duty and because they make a flat surface with the air vent cover, it is very easy to slide pots and pans from one side to the other, and to use as a cooling surface when we pull a pan or dish from the oven. The burner covers are different sizes, providing a flame that fits any size pot, from the smallest to the largest. We selected this unit because the air vent was in the middle as was our old Jennair, so we thought the install would be simple. However, the vent opening is in the middle, but everything underneath is on the side. My husband went back and forth to the hardware store four times to purchase different parts before finishing the install. He had to modify the gas and vent lines, but once it was installed, the whole family loves it. The vent is plenty strong enough to pull the gaseous cooking fumes to vent from the house. Besides this cooktop, we purchased the KitchenAid double oven, trash compactor, and dishwasher. They look very sleek together and we are very pleased with the purchases.

I don't know why I didn't get this sooner. I am able to cook with ease and use all four burners at the same time without overlap from any of my cookware. I gave it a 4/5 due to hard to clean around the knobs and also the fan is extremely powerful even at the lowest level. However the BTU is still strong enough to cook.

I love my gas stove. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the rings around the knobs came lose and move around when I clean the stove.

Met expectations and is working great. Downdraft powerful and burners are awesome. Was limited in choices and got this cooktop because of the downdraft. Many other great cooktop choices, but needed a specific style. Not disappointed at all.

High quality precision product. I have Kitchen suite of products in two of my homes and would recommend them to anyone.

I really like this cook top. I has a nice looking. My wife love it. She is not very happy with the size. With the controllers on the side make it very easy to be use on either size of the island. I think that is a little overprice.

Looks good. Has good reviews. It was hard to get. We ordered it in September and it finally arrived on December 28. I'm sure we will love it if we ever are able to get our kitched remodeled and have it installed.

The unit is of good quality, however it was received in a factory sealed box and missing the burner tops! Had to make several phone calls to finally get them. They really need better QC.

When my old cooktop stopped working I went to bestbuy and a bought the beautiful cooktop. My wife loved it. We’re very satisfied with this cooktop it works great and it very beautiful.

Replaced a 10yr cooktop that woldn't light very well and they wanted $800 to fix. Replaced with this one and it looks so much more durable than our GE. Everything works great, starts easy. Love the look!

Love my new cooktop. Great look, easy to clean. The cooktop replaced and old jenn air cooktop that was past its prime. Only a slight modification in duct required.

Airdraft from downdraft fan does not let pan heat well. Flames get pulled to the inside. Impossible to cook with fan on. The middle grid needs to be recalled and design to cover well then flames are not pulled. Dangerous also. Stainless steel gets yellow quickly impossible to clean.

All good from beginning to end. My sales consultant was Robbie Meyer and he was extremely knowledgable and provide complete answers to all of my questions and made very sure the product was the ideal choice for our countertop. The installers were prompt, curtious and efficient. They did the install quickly. Could not have been more pleased. The KitchenAid Cooktop is a replacement for a 10 year old model. This unit is an amazing improvement in terms of looks, controls and efficiency. The flat grate surface allows optimum flexibility while cooking. My wife is very happy and pleased. What else matters?

I REALLY wanted the 5 burner cooktop. I did NOT, however, want a hood or a vent system in front. So I had to trade, in-vent with 4 burners was my only option - and I wasn't happy. My GC installed my new KitchenAid 4 burner cooktop with the in-vent system. OMG!!! It's phenomenal!!! And the vent system - you watch it suck down the air - even steam - it is nothing short of phenomenal!! I'm still bummed about the 5th burner, but this 4 burner works like a charm!! My review is a little late because the cooktop arrived prior to the countertops. First things first :)

The salesman was very helpful because I had a jennair before and I didn’t know much about kitchen aid. The stove has performed well so far, easy to use. I’m happy with it.
