Convenient but Unreliable Refrigerated DrawersPosted
Bought these in June and loved them until they stopped cooling in December. What a disappointment. Pricey investment but worked perfectly to supplement the counter depth refrigerator in our kitchen. Installation was tricky to get the perfect fit. Kitchen Aid/ Whirlpool Warranty won't cover pulling them out to work on them. For $2700 they should! They wanted us to hire a handy man and pay them to pull our the drawers and push it back in. The service tech won't It has taken a month to get the parts etc. Customer service superivsor at KA hasn't returned my call to rectify the situation. Should've bought a Sub Zero for the money I've spent on it and the $ I am going spend on a sub contractor so they will work again. We will never buy another KitchenAid or Whirlpool Product.

This unit allowed me to combine both my refrigerator/freezer and icemaker in a nice convenient package. It's great for the limited space that I have. In addition, being able to have the cabinet fronts installed makes it integrate seamlessly into my setup.
