Disappointed, poor build quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this range along with a KMHC319ESS convection microwave and a KDTE204ESS1 dishwasher for a kitchen remodel in our new home. We spent many hours researching options and it came down to the KitchenAid units or a comparable set from Bosch. We chose the KitchenAid units, what a mistake that has turned out to be... First, about a month after the year warranty was up, the microwave stopped working and displayed an error stating the door was open when it was closed. Ended up having to take it apart and replace several micro switches and two fuses. Then about a month after that when trying to use the oven, we got an error that the oven fan speed was to low and the oven will not work. We can't even use the timer..... Replaced the fan ($70), but that didn't seem to fix the issue, so I just ordered the main control board, hopefully that $280 bucks will take care of the problem. And now the button to start the dishwasher is acting up, have to press it about a half dozen times for it to actually start. Someone else mentioned in another review that these KitchenAid units look nice, I agree, but it seems they are just not built like you would expect for the money.....

So far not a good experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range was installed March 22; 2019. Top burners work fine. Went to use oven March 31; 2019. Set oven to 400 and it took 45 minutes to reach 275. Ended up turning it off. Called Kitchenaid this morning and decided to turn it on while I was talking to service re and it seemed to be heating up faster. Again only reached 260 in about 45 minutes. Then I tried once more a few hours later and it took 1 full hour to reach 300 degrees. Kitchenaid tech coming out Wednesday. I will give an update after Wednesday.

Dangerous Knobs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this stove a 4-5 star rating - BUT it has a serious flaw that they will not fix. Ffor the most part it cooks very well. It has a nice clean look to it as well. Issues is that 5 Knobs on the front of the stove turn on VERY easily and all you have to do it brush up against the stove and they can turn on every to slightly and the GAS will turn on without you even knowing it. I have come home to the house filled with GAS! Thankfully the dog that was home in the house was not effected. This has happened several times without knowing that you have turned the gas on. Most stoves you have to push the knob in 1st then turn it on, this prevents the gas from being turned on by accident. Kitchen Aid told me to not lean up against the stove and to make sure I check the knobs every time I walk by it. This is not realistic and this needs to be fixed.

Broken and nearly impossible to schedule service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The oven failed the very first time I tried to use it, producing an obscure error code and shutting down. It was unfortunately not even possible to schedule repairs because the website for doing so was down for two days and the customer services representatives reachable by phone evidently use the same computer system for scheduling repairs. At this point, I have invested two and one half hours on the phone over a period of two days merely trying to schedule warranty service on a brand new defective oven. On the bright side, it does look nice. If you are buying it to make your kitchen look nice but don't actually ever plan to use it, then this is the one you want!

Problematic!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kitchenaid won't add my review to their site for some reason so I will add it here. I have had this stove for 5 years and it has been nothing but a headache. I have had multiple service calls in which no one can fix the issue. Our stove will preheat 1 out of 6 times and even when it’s preheating the flame will go out and the temp will not raise over 225 F. Even when the temp reaches the preset the flame will go off and the display will read 350 but the actual temp will be far below the actual temp displayed. We have had the igniter switch changed a few times and also the temperature sensor with no changes on the result. I find it hard to believe that there are so many reviews like mine and Kitchenaid has not correct this ongoing issue. We need a new stove and because I can not buy another Kitchenaid stove we must now change all of our appliances so we can have a matching set. I would say buy at your own risk and read all the reviews. This stove has ruined 4 holidays because it would not ignite or hold a temp and Thanksgiving was the last straw. Baking should not be this tough especially with the price of this range.

Control panel is JUNK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do Not Buy This! 4 years and the last 3 I had nothing but trouble with the control panel. The control panel is right in front of the burners and I did my best never to spill or drip anything on the front control panel but it is impossible. Hasn't anyone there every made soup or cooked bacon? Bad design and a control panel that can't take the kitchen. I am sad and angry. I am going to replace it since now I can no longer use the oven because it keeps shutting itself off. I go to the basement and turn the breaker off for a minute and that worked sometimes but no longer. Look at the number of 1 star ratings here. Stove would be nice if the control panel wasn't junk.

Disappointing - the oven is terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a KitchenAid in my old house and loved it. This thing is a total disappointment for the high price. It took 11 months and two delivery tries to receive. The burners are OK, but the oven is terrible. Takes 30-45 mins to warm up and does not have a self clean feature. The manual advertises an "Aqualift clean" feature that is a joke. It is basically a pan of water and requires me to use Easy Off oven cleaner which is messy and makes me climb in the oven to get it clean. NOT what I expected from a $2500+ range. I didn't even think a modern range would NOT self clean. I am replacing it with the Samsung model I should have bought in the first place.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kitchen aid gas stainless steel oven has a known defect in the self cleaning function. Unfotunately I didn't know this and had been using successfully for a short period. Now I just did self cleaning and the oven burnt out the electrical panel. its useless to repair.. may as well buy a new one and never do Kitchen Aid again

Safety Concern
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the range and oven perform reasonably well, I've given only 2 stars because of a potentially serious safety concern. Due to an apparent design defect, even just lightly brushing your torso against a range knob can turn the knob far enough to cause gas to flow (but not far enough to ignite the burner). This has happened multiple times, for example when I've reached up to program the microwave oven above the range or place in or remove something from the microwave. I haven't experienced this with any other range I've previously used. A second issue is the black porcelain cooktop underneath the burners. It's very difficult to remove splatters from it, and it's prone to fading if anything more than very, very gentle pressure is used to remove the splatters. (The same also is largely true of the cast iron grates.) A family member has a different Kitchenaid model that has the same porcelain cooktop surface. She's experienced the same issue. My last range was another brand with a white porcelain cooktop. In decades of use, this didn't occur with that cooktop While this range initially is attractive, due to this issue, it becomes far less attractive with use.

Great product works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only took a star off for the fact that it is hard to center pans and pots, aside from that great looking stove. Also does not have anything to covers edges on the side so makes it difficult when things fall through the crack.

1 month later and it doesn't work!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this range at the end of April and Best Buy delivered and installed it. Exactly one month later at the end of May it's completely unusable. Every time I turn the oven on, the computer shuts down, the oven turns off and I can't use it until it decides to turn on again. Then it's just a cycle and keeps turning off every time you turn it on. Now I have to wait weeks until the part comes in to fix it. Buying appliances was a nightmare for me and to have such a high tech and expensive unit become unusable a month after purchasing is completely unacceptable. I did give 2 stars because when it did work a couple times, it worked well. But honestly, I'm completely disappointed.

This range doesn't wear well.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought our range at the end of November 2018. After Two years of using this range, the black pan under the burners is scratched, and the paint is dull and worn. The silvered edged panel is also scratched. The knobs are beginning to show wear and look as though the paper will peel off in time. The grates are turning an ash gray and the #6 on the panel no longer works. The only problem with #6 is if you are setting the clock on the range you need to wait till A.M. to set your clock and you won't be able to set anything for 6 minutes or 26 minutes or 6 hours, or any time beginning with a 6. The stove functions fine but looks sad.

Bad burner knob design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The burner knobs on this stove are unsafe. My microwave is over the stove and if I accidentally lean up against the stove when putting something in the microwave, the knobs do not click so they can be turned on very easily and you don’t realize it until you smell gas. Very unsafe.

Poor GeekSquad service; Worst KitchenAid product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a terrible experience with our recent purchase of this kitchenAid range oven (KSGG700ESS2 SKU:5489036) from Best Buy. Product: The range oven arrived with exterior damages. In addition, we noticed the second knob to the left was so sticky that we would have to force it to turn on the stove. We had an exchange. The second one arrived after 1 week. The second knob to the left has the exact same issue (initially we thought the knob issue could have caused by the exterior damage). Moreover, the flame on the stove sputters and makes a lot of noise. Service: We were told by the delivery person that the exchange would be arranged for us and someone would call to schedule the exchange. That did not happen. we had to call to request for the exchange. When we pointed out the issues with second stove to the delivery person. He advised us to contact BestBuy. We called BestBuy for a repair (as we were not sure another exchange would be better). The day before the repair scheduled, the appointmenet was canceled and the reason was that we did not purchase the extended warranty per customer service representative. We are very disappointed with BestBuy and KitchenAid appliance. We had disposed our old range oven. We are stuck with this over $2K piece of junk.
