Stove temperature is unstable

The oven portion works great, but I am not completely happy with the stove. It is not just this model, but it appears that all newer model electric stoves have an automatic temperature governor which shuts off the heating element when it reaches temperature. The result is an unstable temperature fluctuation. It is very annoying. Had I known, I would have gone with a gas version.

I love this range, for being an electric range it works very well. If I had my druthers I'd take gas first, but being on the North Shore we only have electric, and this is the next best thing. The ovens are amazing, we've had a Viking oven before this, and it didn't work nearly as well as this Kitchen Aid double oven. The small top oven is great for smaller items like a casserole, or a batch of cookies, but if you're doing serious baking, having two ovens is a gift!
Only caution is to be diligent about cleaNING stove top after every use, because the glass can get burn scars, if food is left to burn on it.

I'm very impressed with this unit. Easy to clean, looks good, great for over sized pans and for an out of stock unit, Best Buy delivered a week earlier than the competition. Great installation crew.

This range has quick heat on the cook top and an excellent variety of temperatures. The triple burner is very convenient. The double ovens are outstanding, providing even cooking and convenience. The only downside I have found to this range (the reason it's a four star rating instead of a five) the cook top has developed what looks like bubbles under the surface.

I’m really happy with the cook quality of this stove. Looks great and very versatile. However, only 1 of the ovens has convection and it’s rhe larger of the 2. The smaller oven on top is great for pizzas and smaller items but could be just a little but better if it were convection. 4 out of 5 stars doesn’t seem quite enough. Should be 9 out of 10.

There are several things to like about this oven. the burners heat up quickly and cook evenly. The ovens perform well also. The only thing I miss from my last stove with a dutch oven is the second timer.
The one thing I don't like about the stove is the top of the stove gets hot when you use the dutch oven.

I really wanted to like this range. I’ve wanted a double oven for a few years and our old one finally died so we jumped on this. Unfortunately they didn’t think through the design well. The lower oven door hits the ground when you open it. Or your toes if they are in the way. And the upper oven was uneven in cooking. One side would be done while the other side was consistently about 5-7 minutes behind. I do not recommend this range

I just love this oven. Everything I have made in the oven itself, has come out Amazing. I made a cheesecake, it was perfect! The fries crisp up nicely. Making cookies this week!! Impressed for sure!

Very pleased with this purchase. Small upper range is perfect for cooking pizza, appetizers, cookies, or anything in small quantities. Quick to preheat, and it saves energy since your not heating the entire oven for small amounts of food.
The lower oven is plenty big, and it is a convection oven! Think oven-sized "air fryer". Shortens cooking time and will make food crispy if desired.

I am so severely disappointed in my range. We spent a lot of money to get a top of the line range and the cooktop scratches so easily. I have followed the directions to a T being so careful and cleaning it regularly. I stopped using my cast iron pans to avoid scratches and worked hard to remove all residue off the bottom of the pans I do use. Within 2 weeks of purchase, I started seeing scratches. And now after a year of using this, it has so many little scratches and blemishes. I had an old GE that never scratched and was treated roughly. This range was my pride and joy and now its embarrassing to see it ruined.

I purchased this stove to replace my 15 year old Maytag double oven. This stove is definitely heavier than my old stove. Love the round handles on the ovens. Bakes well. Cooktop works great although I preferred the glass on my old stove better (it was a marbled grey which didn’t show the smudges). Glad that the timer and temperature are set by a number pad instead of the up/down buttons.

Have had this model for several months now. We love it. The duel oven is great! Top for smaller dishes and it comes to temperature very quickly. The range options are a little wonky, but after some trial and error we've learned how it works. Only wish the over had two lights, one for top and one for bottom.

I replaced my conventional oven with this Kitchen Aid Double oven just before Thanksgiving. We didn't bake anything major until Xmas. We made a prime rib and it turned out perfect. The convection is just something that you need to practice with to get used to it. With this oven you can choose what kind of baking you want to do. Convection or no convection. I love this oven.

Upper oven is small and bakes well. I think it runs a little cooler then my old oven but the small space maybe the reason. Highly recommend giving appropriate time to warn before use. Lower oven seems dead on for temperature. Also note, range shuts off gas so even burners will not work in a power outage. It is a safety feature. Make sure have generator power source if you plan to use in this situation.

The double over works great. The top stove is literally separated from the bottom, This allows the top oven to heat up to the exact temp and stay at a constant temp. A lot of double ovens have a metal sheet that you insert to separate the top oven from the bottom and the top oven has a hard time staying a constant temp.

I bought this because my older one broke, and my only criteria was double oven. For that, this is great! But the stove top and controls are terrible. First, the minor thing: The stove top has these little white dots to indicate the perimeter of the burners, but they just look like your oven has food debris on it, so good job making a messy looking thing.
But more importantly are the burner controls. My old one had digital displays, so it was really easy to put it on 'medium.' Now, you might think this would be easy with a knob regardless - turn it half halfway, right? Not so! Because of the multi-zone burners, the controls are split, and for whatever reason they are not split equally. So you have this tiny section for the inner burner, which a millimeter off is going to get you a wildly different value, and on one of them I swear it's a weird exponential curve for no good reason. I sometimes cook the same thing on two frying pans at once, and trying to get them to cook the same is an exercise in frustration to say the least.
On top of that, the knobs are chromed the heck out, so good luck if you want to see at all at a glance (or even a decent look) what they are set to and which burners are on. Like, did no one look at this thing before they decided to sell it? Tragically bad.

My wife loves loves loves her new range. It's not only a great addition to our working kitchen remodel but it's a gorgeous top of the line range. We didn't know we were missing double ovens until we had them and the cook top is excellent with it's various features like Ultra, warming and multi-sized heating options. Can't wait to purchase another KitchenAid appliance for our kitchen!
