Our cooktop over heated and burned up the first time we use it. We we told by Kitchen Aid Safety Team to unplug the unit until it could be properly serviced. This took 3 visits fro the technician and we were left without a range for six weeks. Also, the cooktop is noisy and very finicky. Learning how to cook with this appliance has been quite a learning curve.

So happy with this Range! Just remember that not all cook ware will work with an Induction range. I did have to buy new pots and pans. (Lucky me)

Delivery of appliances was curbside. There was only one person who struggled trying to get a heavy stove and dishwasher off of a truck by himself with no help. Stove was very heavy. Expecting one person to handle the delivery was totally unreasonable. Kitchen renovation in finishing stages and we will evaluate whether any damage was done to appliances during delivery. V*** Very poor delivery service.

    Induction Rocks

    Posted .

This unit replaced a 15-year old GE induction range. The GE worked great until we had a ground problem with a control board. We are big fans of induction. We have two other KitchenAid appliances, and are generally fans of their design and quality. This range looks great. The pan locating dots on top do not bother us much, but we are not fans of that part of the design. The oven heats up fairly fast for an electric oven with hidden bottom element. The induction elements work fine. The controls on this thing are really not very intuitive. It takes three touches, at least, to turn on your first element. I think that is very poor design. First you have to power on the stove top, then select a burner, then set the power level for that burner. Another design flaw is having to re-select an active element, when you have more than one active element at a time, to adjust its temperature. The temperature adjustment slider is always active towards the last adjusted element. I really hope KitchenAid fixes this. The controls also get clouded as you cook and splattering cooking fluids land on the top range surface. I would vote to move the range top controls off of the range glass top to the front control panel where the oven controls live. Our last range also had 5 elements and this one could easily accommodate a 5th. Not sure if cost was the issue here. The oven is very large and I tested it with a Klein multimeter with thermocouple input. The temperature was better than any oven I have ever tested at home. We were within 5-10 degF of our setpoint. There is actually a calibration feature that allows you to adjust the temperature calibration if needed. I have not tried the oven drawer yet.

Wouldnt buy again, low value for money

This has sadly been a disappointment! For what we paid, I expected much better quality. It takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes to reach temperature when preheating, the controls are not very user friendly, and it is prone to losing 50 degrees of heat each time the oven door is opened to check the food. Weve had it since 2022, and we thought maybe at first it was user error, but that hasnt proven to be the case. I wouldn't ever buy one of these again. That being said; - the oven does heat up - it bakes or roasts or broils - it has a timer - the induction cooktop works most of rhe time. Its just not worth 3000 tho.

    Very unhappy

The cooktop is a pain to use the touch controls work some time and sometimes they don't I have to go out to the breaker and power down and reset it. Put anything on the top and it starts to beep at you. In the middle of cooking, it turns itself off. The oven takes forever to get up to temperature. Overall I am very very unhappy just a really bad design and overall crappy product. Skip this and get a samsung or another brand this one it horrible.

    Worse Purchase Ever!

Worse stove design ever! The controls on the top of the stove are so senstive that it continuously beeps and it's so easy to accidentally hit the front that you will forever be turning all of the other features off. The thing can shut down entirely just by shifting a pan the wrong way. Also, the oven takes forever to heat up and it is not hot enough. I bought this 2 years ago (for over 3K) and am now getting a new stove! I have owned other induction stoves that were great, but this one is a nightmare. Did you notice that all of the five star reviews were done on a promotion? I'm telling you...you will regret buying this stove! Don't do it!
