    Great dishwasher!

We run at least one full load of dishes every day in our house. This replaced an 18 yr old Whirlpool that was still working but the racks were falling apart and it was very noisy for our small townhome living area. Now with the new dishwasher we can run dishes whenever we want-while talking, watching TV, etc. and it doesn't wake up all our pet birds like the old one did. You can hear a little gurgling when the water drains, but not much, really. It has a deep tub and lots of room. The top rack adjusts up and down easily. I liked the LGs I saw but the bottom racks didn't have a thing to keep them in place and they jammed even when empty. The racks do glide VERY easily which is nice but you have to get used to it. The kids broke a glass because they pushed the top rack in too fast. You also have to get used to the three sprayers-bottom, top, and under the top rack. They are great but you can't block them or they won't spin. I think that would be the same in any dishwasher. If you are coming from a very old DW, understand that all dishwashers now have longer cycles and use much less water. The only thing I wish it had was a more fingerprint proof outer shell.

My dishes go in. My selection is made, the door goes up, the white light comes on. That is my only indication that this dishwasher is working. When the light is blue, I open it up to find clean dishes. No more washing my dishes before I wash my dishes. It also holds a ton of dishes. I can fill both my kitchen sinks with dishes and it will do almost all of them. Especially silverware. I think the designers use a ton of silverware in a day or something. Oh, well, still has tons of room for everything else, so not really a complaint. A couple of things: it does make the area around it smell a little funky when it is running (not bad, sort of a new car smell - even after having it for a month!). Also, it freaked me out when I saw the light turn red on it. I thought it had broke down or something. Apparently, red means drying. Ooops. I opened it thinking something was wrong with it, and got blasted with steam. Don't be like me. Leave it closed when the light turns red. Overall, the best dishwasher I have ever had. And it looks really nice in my kitchen, so that's a plus.

After researching many dishwashers and reading even more reviews, I chose the architect II and so far it has more than met my expectations. I owned a kitchen aid dishwasher years ago and it was the best one I had ever owned until this one. It just got old and I replaced it with a samsung. It was a problem from the start. (Did not clean well, dry well, racks fell apart and smelled rotten, even after washing a load of dishes). Needless to say, I was gun shy about any dishwasher. Even though I read some negative reviews about the architect II, (and most dishwashers have them) it seemed to meet my needs. I have really put it to work during the past few months and it has performed beautifully! Dishes are clean and dry and some of my older pots and pans have cleaned up very nicely. I don't have one complaint and so far I'm very pleased with my choice.

After struggles with my old Bosch dishwasher (less than 5 years old, top of the line model), I asked the appliance repair man (they tried several times to fix my Bosch that I purchased the extended warranty on) which brand he would recommend. He told me to get a KitchenAid. I looked at all the different models, but didn't feel the 3rd shelf was necessary, so I got this one. Everything went well, install was quick and easy, and the dishwasher works great. It dries dishes nicely (a little dampness on the inside of the washer but not the dishes/glasses), it washes them even better, it is VERY quiet, and still has the Energy Star efficiency rating. It looks good as well and it is pretty self explanatory to use.

Six months old and the control panel and bottom rack are already shot. KitchenAid warranty service can't come fix it for another 7 days, leaving me without a dishwasher for another week. We stepped up for this KitchenAid thinking it would have outstanding cleaning and reliability. The same time we bought this thing we bought a $300 Amana for our rental property which has worked fine. This KitchenAid not only isn't cleaning properly, the hardware on the rack is falling apart already and KitchenAid is making me wait a week for them to stand behind their product. WASTE OF MONEY SHOULD'VE SAVED THE MONEY AND GOTTEN THE CHEAPIE

I was contemplating between this and a comparable Samsung unit. Went into the store and really loved the feel of the trays sliding and the feel and quality of the door and the unit overall compared to the Samsung. Felt like it was built much better, Purchased this unit a couple of weeks ago and I'm in love with my decision. The first time I ran the unit I checked twice to make sure its running because I couldnt even hear it compared to my old clunker. Great purchase and really seems like a high quality product. Would but it again 10 times out of 10!! You do have to use the jet dry liquid but dries perfectly!

Originally, I liked that this dishwasher could hold a lot of dishes, but in less than 4 years we have had repeated problems with it leaking onto our HARDWOOD FLOORS. Spent quit a bit to replace seals etc to stop the leaks. AND NOW, it smells like it is trying to catch on fire. My husband is a mechanic/owns his own shop, and he says that one of the motors is going out (it has 3 motors that range in price from just under $100 to $172). So annoyed Kitchen Aid!!! I should not have to baby sit a dishwasher to make sure it doesn't ruin my floors and more importantly it shouldn't be dying in 4 YEARS!!!!

Our old Frigidaire Gallery was about to go. I stressed over which unit to replace it with. Many store reps recommended either LG, Samsung, or Bosch. I decided to give Kitchenaid a chance, and I'm glad I did. I like the heated dry option, as long as I can turn it off. Also I like that it has a filter instead of a hard food disposer - filter can be taken apart & cleaned periodically whereas the disposer can't. Finally, I like that the cycle can be paused (this helps when using dishwasher cleaner products) - my old dishwasher would drain as soon as the cycle was stopped. Great dishwasher, super quiet, I would buy it again.

After owning this dishwasher for a year and half it has stopped working three times. Despite washing all the dishes off prior to putting them away, the bottom is constantly clogged up and the dishwasher stops working. The clips that hold the shelf on the top rack are EXTREMELY CHEAPLY made and break off after just six months, even though we treat the appliance with TLC. Cost was $35.00 through Amazon. If the system was made with quality parts and the bottom didn't have to be serviced constantly it would be a good dishwasher. This dishwasher is extremely noisy too! WAY OVER-PRICED! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!!

So pleased with this dishwasher. It is quiet, it cleans the dishes dries them well, looks good, racks are designed well and slide out easily, and is well constructed. We had an LG and were only moderately pleased with and it started malfunctioning just short of having it one year. Best Buy was great to work with and gave us the option to replace it after a problem with getting replacement parts. We upgraded to the KitchenAid. So glad with did!

I purchased this dishwasher and used it for about 2 weeks. It wasn't drying our dishes on the top rack nor were the dishes coming out clean in my opinion. I tried different soaps, lots of jet dry and re-arranging dishes. Since I had bought the warranty, Geeksquad offered to come out and try and fix it, but I opted to just exchange it as a new dishwasher shouldn't have to be fixed. I exchanged it for Model: KDFE304DSS and LOVE that one. Night and day difference in cleaning and drying and the same price!

Very disappointed in the process. As of the 30th of April(install), we still do not have full use of dishwasher. Install was something to be desired. Then after washer not drying sufficient, geek squad was called. This tech had an attitude problem. He couldn't diagnose, so he said he would install a new board next Wk.next Wk no show, no call. He left washer half out from counter. After several calls & explanations, its set now for another Wk. One big headache. Never had this trouble before. Hope it's good this next Wk.

This is not the most affordable KitchenAid dishwasher, but it offers good quality for the price. It is whisper quiet. So quiet that my wife and I have both looked in the kitchen for someone sneaking around, but found it was the dishwasher making barely audible noises! The new dishwasher does a good job of cleaning the dishes, even my dried oatmeal from yesterday's breakfast bowl. I hope this dishwasher lasts a long time. It seems to be a good aid in the kitchen!

It is super quiet and sometimes I can't even tell whether it is running or not. Seems to clean dishes very well. My only complaint is loading larger items on the bottom.. feel like my old Maytag had better loading space for larger casserole dishes because the utensil basket fit in the middle of the lower rack vs. this Kitchen Aid with the utensil basket taking up 1 whole side of the bottom rack.

I went from a 2 drawer dishwasher to this KitchenAid. This dishwasher cleans so much better! It is so quiet, that I had to keep checking to see if it was running the first few times I ran it. I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but it looks like it is pretty simple. I like the silverware rack. Even if I use powder, the well stays very clean. So far, I am very happy with this purchase.

This dishwasher doesn't do a particularly good job cleaning the dishes - unless you prewash them and put the washer on a setting that consumes the most water and takes the longest. In the three years we've owned it, the pump has now failed twice and had to be replaced. The repair guy said we needed to rinse the dishes clean before we put them in the machine - but then what's the point of the washer? Can't recommend this machine at all.

My Maytag bit the dust. When we removed it, we saw it was made in 1995. 20 years of service, that was awesome. We chose this mode because it has a true heated dry element. Upon researching a lot of reviews, the GE, Samsung, LG and Bosh, do not. Switched from a Black and Stainless model to Brilliant white and like how it brightens the kitchen. It's quiet, and seems durable, we are pleased with this model.

Love stainless steel. I purchased this dishwasher because it matches my refrigerator. This is a very quiet dishwasher. If it weren't for the light on the front you wouldn't even know it was running. I only gave it 3 stars because it's just ok. It does have a lot of cleaning features, however we are still pulling bowls out of the top with food dried on them. I probably should have listened to my husband and went with the Samsung.

I wound up having to buy a kitchenaid dishwasher because I bought their range and my wife said that all of the appliances needed to match. This dishwasher was on the higher end of the price range but it was well worth it. To start with it actually cleans dishes. Crazy right? It is also VERY quiet. We cant hear it running at all and bonus points because it ACTUALLY CLEANS THE DISHES!!!

This KitchenAid dishwasher was a replacement for a Samsung waterwall dishwasher that was a total disappointment. Luckily, Best Buy (N. Olmsted, Ohio) swapped it out for us even though it was outside of the typical return period. The KitchenAid performs perfectly with totally clean and dry dishes everytime with no drama. You won't be disappointed. Thanks KitchenAid and Best Buy!
