    Good Coffee Grinder

The coffee grinder does a good job at grinding coffee for a conventional drip coffee pot (e.g. a "Mr. Coffee" type of pot ). After about 15 to 20 seconds of grinding, the ground coffee is a little coarse for my needs. The finer ground coffee collected under the blade and would not move (perhaps too much oil or moisture in the beans). This slowed down the grinding process for the remainder or the beans. I grind coffee for use in a "Keurig" and like a finer grind for stronger coffee. I will try different coffee beans to see if that helps the process. This is my third coffee grinder. My first one, from a different manufacturer, lasted over 15 years. The second one, again a different manufacturer, "burnt up the thermal resistor" the second time i used it but after the 30 day return period allowed by the online vendor. I bought this one based upon reputation of the manufacturer and Best Buy's return policy.

Very good product. Better than the reviews.

I looked at several grinders before I chose this one. Some of the concerns were with the lack of coarseness setting and that it was noisy. I found none of these to be an issue. The grinder is exactly as noisy as I would expect. As for the coffee being too coarse, I think I have a solution. I found that if you "bump" the grinder 2-3 times before you fully commit to non-stop grinding, it seems to settle the beans just enough to give you a complete, very fine grind. As a side note, this product will also grind almond slivers into ground almonds very well.

    KitchenAid - Coffee Grinder Review

I purchased this grinder as an alternative to my Proctor Silex coffee grinder. While the build quality is a lot better, the Kitchen Aid grinder is heavy and noisy. You need to press down on the lid while its grinding as a safety measure. Pros: Well built. Good quality components. Removable dishwasher safe stainless steel grinder container with markings. Cons: Power cord is not retractable. Noisy operation. Grinding of coffee beans is inconsistent at times, needs to be ground longer even though it has a powerful motor as opposed to other brands. Ground coffee sticks to the sides at bottom of the container near the blades.

Since I love fresh coffee, I have used several different coffee grinders over the course my life. I've learned that with most things you get what you pay for and coffee grinders are no exception. My last grinder was a cheap quick replacement, which lasted all of 6 months and then the motor burned up. This is my second Kitchenaid grinder (the first lasted at least 15 years) and I was excited to find one locally. The motor is heavy duty and makes quick work of grinding coffee beans. For my money, this is the only brand I will buy when the time comes.

    Perfect Little Coffee Grinder

This product is simple and that is a good thing. I expected it to grind coffee beans, and it grinds coffee beans. It is easy to clean and it is dishwasher safe. The inside cup and blade are made of stainless steel, therefore it does not retain the smell of your previous coffee grind. it is not large so if you are in need of a machine that grinds a ton of coffee at one time then you might be disappointed. But if you are looking to have fresh ground coffee then this machine is for you.

It does the job for a basic grinder. It will spew coffee all over your counter. But if you place a single layer of aluminum foil over and around the top part of the grinding bowl to create a seal. It'll keep the coffee inside and you won't have to clean the entire thing after ever use. If you don't, you'll have to clean the entire unit about 7/10 uses. Other than that it's a great buy for basic functions.

i got in on sale $5 off, it is smooth, not too loud, easy to use, i like the canister inside that holds the beans it is removable to pour out. the only bad thing i have to say about it is when your not grinding a lot of beans it tends to spit up and come down the side of the machine and gets a little messy, doesn't make a mess outside the machine on your counter, only when you lift off the top. But otherwise very good.

I had purchased a cheaper brand about 6 mo. ago. The problem I had is that I couldn't get a consistent blend of ground coffee. A mixture of coffee dust and course ground. Well no more since I purchased this KitchenAid having now a consistant and even blend. It took a little pratice but it dosent take long to figure that out. I also like the fact it has a removable blender cup to dump my freshly ground coffee. It's well made and I sense I'll have this for some time.

This is a great coffee grinder. I love the fact that you can remove the stainless steel cup to put the grounds in your coffee maker. My old coffee grinder did not have this, so this is a plus. The only reason why I gave this a four-star was because it can be a little finicky when you start the grinding process. You have to put even pressure with your hands flat on top of the top to begin. It just takes some getting use to.

It nicely does the job and not in a messy or loud fashion. My one complain is the lack of present holds for the on button. It would be nice to have either preset times or at least a counter on it so you don't have to count to yourself while grinding. It easily cleans up what very little mess it makes and it grounds the coffee to your needs without straining or loud noises. This one is a win. Also the construction is extremely solid and not cheap feeling.

We loved ours so much we bought this one for my parents. We went through a couple other models and a coffee maker with a built-in grinder. This is hands down the best because it makes almost no mess, it is easy to clean, it is very simple to use with no worthless options that just create product weakness, it is built tank strong, it grinds to perfection, and it has contined to perform at this high level for almost four years now.

The coffee grinder swirls the beans to pull them to the blade which grinds all the beans without the nuisance of having to shake the grinder to draw down any stray beans. The push down mechanism to turn on the grinder is a bit tight, so it requires a bit of excessive effort from my point of view. As well, it packs in some very fine grounds under the blade, but that can be more limited if you do not over fill the grinder. Overall it does very well.

This is my second Kitchenaid coffee grinder. I have an older one purchased around 10 years ago which still works well. I decided to buy a new one for my coffee and use the old one for grinding flax seeds and spices. The new one I purchased has a very powerful motor which quickly and easily grinds coffee. Cleanup is a snap due to simple twist and remove disassembly of the grinder cup from the motorized base. Highly recommended.

This makes grinding coffee beans easy and fast and if you use herbs in your cooking, get the additional cups to grind the herbs and seeds (make sure to use the supplied lids!). I find getting the top in just the right position to engage the motor a bit challenging sometimes but it is not a deal breaker.

Grinds your beans plain and simple. Would like to be able to grind smaller amounts like one cup but the min is 4, otherwise you get burnt flavored grounds. Overall does a good job. No settings for grind size just hold and go until desired grind is met, best for a coarse grind. The grinds do find their way out of the bowl and into the cover and base frequently which can be annoying, it is for me.

I was in need of s coffee bean grinder but really never looked for one. I was in Best Buy and happened to see this one and bought it. The price was good and the brand has an excellent reputation. Upon using it I was very pleased and knew I made a good purchase. It is simple but extremely well made. It does and excellent job!

Had a different grinder for about three years but it finally quit working so thought I would try this one. This one worked 3 or 4 times than quit working. When it did work it created a mess every time to get the grounded coffee out. Returned it and bought a different one that I’m very happy with.

Replaced a more expensive full featured Mr. Coffee unit that failed after one year. Motor just died! This unit seems a little heavier and better built than the other grinders we’ve bought. All the others failed between 6moths and two years. Hoping for a longer life with this one...

So far, we're very impressed. We were missing fresh ground coffee, then received some whole bean coffee from Hawaii for Christmas. We were excited but found out we had given our old grinder away, when we had bought a Kuerig. Well we also bought the containers to be able to brew our own coffee using the Kuerig. The Kitchen Aid grinder we bought works wonders and the coffee is excellent

This grinder looks nice and I really like the removeable cup, which makes keeping it clean and transferring the ground coffee to another container really easy. I would probably deduct a half star because of one thing. I wish there was a way to keep the cord wound up on the grinder body, as I don't leave it hooked up when I'm not using it. Other than that, it works great.
