    There are no surprises with KitchenAid. It's been around as long as your great Grandma and there's a reason for that, because it's simply the best mixer you can own. The problem that the modern era has brought to KitchenAid, is the multiple choices, with varying motors. Not so surprisingly, with the exception of color, they all basically look the same. If you're wondering why one is far less expensive than the other, check out the wattage. They seem to make that difficult to find as well. The wattage is the muscle and with plenty of it, you can worry less about working that motor into the ground. Either way, you're going to end up with a product that generations ad nauseum have depended on...and continue to do so today.
