What A Deal…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the tilt head on this Kitchen Aid. The machine itself is heavy, but easier to use than the larger version which doesnt have tilt head. This smaller one is 14 inches in height, fits into cabinets or under them. It runs smoothly and quietly. Bought it on sale. Price was better than on Amazon.

Best stand mixer money can buy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my opinion, the KitchenAid stand mixer t is hands down the best personal home mixer on the market to date. I enjoy using this product for many other things aside from just baking. It will do anything from shred meat to mix together home made pizza dough with ease. I particularly enjoy how easy it is to use and how the product does not take a learning curve to be able to use straight out of the box. I also am happy with how easy it is to clean when finished using the stand mixer. The mixer comes with a detachable bowl and three attachments that allow me to cook and bake endless items. I also love that the kitchen aid brand allows for many other attachments you can purchase to further any culinary skill. The look of it is superb and it looks amazing on my kitchen counter. I truly look forward to using this product time and time again. My only regret with the mixer would be not purchasing it sooner. You will not regret this purchase, your inner chef with thank you later.

Must have Mixer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kitchen Aid makes high quality products. One of there most popular is there mixers. The classic mixer is great. It is easy to use for people just starting out making homemade foods. It is able to mix a lot faster than hand mixing or using a hand held mixer. This is great for baking large amounts of anything. It is also pretty quiet when mixing. This mixer comes with a couple different attachments depending what you’re mixing. One of the best parts of this mixer is that there are many attachments that you can purchase. This is a great purchase for anyone who loves to make homemade products. One thing that should be included is the shield which keeps everything in the bowl but you can purchase this separately.

A nice additon to our kitchen
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure: this is my first time using a stand mixer, so I have no previous experience by which to compare its performance. After receiving the stand mixer and giving it a thorough cleaning, I pulled out a chocolate cake recipe and placed all the ingredients in the bowl at the same time. This unit comes with a 4.5qt stainless steel bowl, a coated flat beater, a coated dough hook, and a 6-wire whip. I turned it on medium speed using the flat beater and let it run for about two minutes. All went well and was easily accomplished. In the end, the ingredients were thoroughly blended. Surprisingly to me, it was quiet for its size. According to the literature, the bowl has adequate capacity to mix up to 6 dozen cookies, 3 loaves of bread, or 6lbs of mashed potatoes. The bowl is made of stainless steel, which I found very easy to clean afterwards. I used the coated flat beater for the cake, and like the bowl, it, too, cleaned up easily. The tilt head design makes for easy access to the bowl when adding ingredients or changing out the beaters. It has a head-lock feature to secure the head in place, thus keeping the beater in close contact with the bowl. To that end, I didn’t find any unmixed cake batter that was missed during the mixing process. To avoid the bowl from shifting during use, the bowl is locked in place when rotated clockwise when placed on the mixer’s base. This unit has 10 speeds, which makes it more than adequate for both wet and dry ingredients and making bread. Additionally, this mixer feels very solid and with adequate weight. Obviously, you wouldn’t want it ‘walking’ off the counter-top during the mixing process. Overall, I’m very happy with this mixer. I think giving it five stars is appropriate.

Outstanding Tilt-Head Stand Mixer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been looking to buy Tilt-Head Stand Mixer and got KitchenAid - K45SSOB Classic Tilt-Head Stand Mixer Onyx Black. The packing was really good and came with Coated Flat Beater, Coated Dough Hook, 6-Wire Whip. The 4.5-quart stainless steel mixing bowl and 10 speeds easily mix, kneads, and whips the ingredients really well. We have used this mixer to prepare the batter for cake and knead the dough for rottis. The 4.5-Quart. Stainless Steel Bowl is the perfect size to mix dough for 6 dozen cookies, 3 loaves of bread or 6 pounds of mashed potatoes in a single batch. The flat beater and dough hook are dishwasher-safe. The 59-Point Planetary Mixing Action provides 59 touchpoints per rotation around the bowl for thorough ingredient incorporation. The beater, dough hook, or wire whip rotates around the bowl, giving incredible bowl coverage for comprehensive mixing. The 10 Speeds are powerful enough for nearly any task or recipe, stirring wet and dry ingredients together, kneading bread dough or whipping cream. Soft Start is a nice feature to avoid ingredient splash & flour puff by starting at a lower speed. We have been using this mixer every week and really impressed with the output. The dough came out really well and rottis are way softer than before. KitchenAid makes quality products for the kitchen and this mixer is another great product from them. It is definitely a must-have product for every kitchen.

Baking is so much easier now
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The KitchenAid Tilt Head Stand Mixer is beauty and power in one package. Learning to bake has been on my list for some time now, so this mixer was definitely a must. I had previously used hand mixers in the past, but found that they were lacking in power with thick mixes. Another major issue is the mess that is made after using a hand mixer. With the KitchenAid stand mixer, there is no more worry about counter mess. One of the best things about the KitchAid stand mixer is the stainless steel bowl that comes with it. This makes cleaning SO MUCH EASIER! You can expect smooth operation and ease of use out of this machine. Another big plus from the KitchenAid Stand Mixers are the number of available attachments (must purchase separate) that are available for just about all of your cooking needs. Overall, the KitchenAid Stand Mixer feels like a quality mixing machine, and has performed very well for my needs. Baking has never been easier, and cleaning has never been this quick. This is the perfect mixer for the baker in the family. I would highly recommend it.

The Mixer That Does It All
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The KitchenAid Classic Mixer is one solid appliance at 23 pounds. Mixer is not an accurate description of this appliance. A more appropriate name would be a food processor. Yes, this device mixes all your foods with a 10-speed range, but it also accepts other accessories such as a pasta maker, meat grinder, shredder, vegetable chopper, etc. It includes a 4-1/2 qt. mixing bowl large enough to make 6 dozen cookies or 3 loaves of bread according to Kitchen Aid. How many other mixers can do that besides commercial units? This mixer is simplicity itself. It only has 2 controls: a tilt-head knob for lifting the head and a range control for the speed that you need for your particular recipe. The only issue was the weight itself. Do not plan to move this mixer around your kitchen. Just leave it on the counter where it will rest securely. If you are looking for a multi-featured mixer that you know will last for years, the KitchenAid Classic is the one to purchase.

Worth the wait!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always wanted a Kitchenmaid stand mixer and it was well worth the wait. This mixer is everything I hoped it would be. The mixer is super heavy, but incredibly easy to use. I would encourage you to read the instructions to ensure you are familiar with a couple of the features. You may end up missing the lock button if you didn't realize it was there. I was a little nervous about mixing cookie dough with a mixer, but it worked so wonderfully. I saved myself the arm workout and saved a ton of time. I'm sure it'll get even more and more efficient as I get more familiar with how to use it. My mixer didn't come with the shield and I'm thinking that might be a nice addition to help with adding ingredients as you mix, but other than that this mixer is perfect. I think it's going to lead to a lot more baking of cookies with my son.

A solid product from Kitchen Aid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our first "Stand Mixer". I ordered it from BestBuy after digging consumer reports and found this mode is one of their best buy recommendation. I also found "BestBuy" is offering good deal compared to other retailers whether online or offline. This product does work exactly as it should. It is pretty heavy and sits on the counter top properly with its rubberized grip at the bottom. It is pretty much quite while operating at high speed. This product has met or exceeded our expectation from a stand mixer in every aspect including price level. We would highly recommend this model especially from bestbuy as they have the best deal on this product. Though it is available only for shipping, I got this product on second business day, thanks to BB for fast shipping.

Classic KitchenAid
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got his stand mixer and couldn’t wait to use it. I’ve always wanted one. First this thing looks and feels quality built. Nice finish on it and it feels heavy. The rubber feet on the stand makes sure it doesn’t move on my counter at all, I was impressed by that. It comes with a 4.5 quart stainless steel bowl that twists into place in the stand. It also comes with 3 attachments which include a dough hook, wire mixer and flat beater. The stand mixer also has 10 speeds. I used the dough hook to make my first loaf of bread today and it was super easy. No kneading on my part was need and made the whole process simple and my bread turned out great. I can’t wait to use it more.

Wife loves it!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wife is an avid baker and has been saying for years that she wishes she had a stand mixer. I guess there are certain doughs she makes that are a little too much for our regular hand mixer. So I picked this one up for her and she practically jumped for joy. She immediately used it to whip up multiple batches of cookies and says that it worked great. It was very easy to use. She was able to pretty much able to use it straight out of the box without even reading the manual. About the only issue she has with the mixer is that she wishes it came with a bigger bowl. But that is a minor gripe. She also wishes that it came with some sort of splash guard but I guess that is an accessory you have to purchase separately. One thing to note is that this thing is very heavy. I guess it needs to be heavy to be able to work with stiff doughs and such and not bounce all over the place. Be advised that if you're a smaller person you might have trouble lugging this thing around. Find a place where you can put it on your counter and pretty much leave it.

The Classic for a Reason
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture a traditional stand mixer and surely the KitchenAid comes to mind. Like Kleenex, the name "KitchenAid" has become virtually synonymous with "stand mixer" and for good reason. It retains the same basic design and functionality as it has for decades; nearly anyone you talk to has a story about a family member or friend using the same KitchenAid for years on end with no issues. All this led to my excite to try one of these mixers at home for the first time. After using it to make a few different recipes I came away as impressed as I expected to. This mixer is a beast: it'll mix, knead and whip anything you throw at it without complaint. If you're used to using a handheld mixer like I am, you'll be amazed at how much faster and easier your recipes are when the mixer does all the work for you. Not only that, but it does the job better than a hand mixer ever could. My first batch of cookies resulted in a dough more perfectly blended than I have produced before, and the coffee cake made with the whip/beater attachment was even lighter, fluffier and more delicious than usual. This Classic series KitchenAid comes with the very basics: the mixer, a plain stainless steel bowl, and three attachments (flat mixer head, whip/heater head, and a dough hook). All the other myriad attachments available, both KitchenAid and third party brands, can be ordered online. From my brief experience I would say the splatter shield would be a great purchase, as would the flat mixer head with the rubber scraping attachment. Some of these attachments come standard with upgraded versions of this mixer. So why only four stars? A KitchenAid mixer is a long-term investment made to last decades, and the price reflects this. I am confident the mixer motor and bowl are up to the job, but I am a little concerned about the finish holding up. Within the first day of use, a chip in the paint appeared on both the mixer body and the flat mixer head. I was surprised; I thought surely a thick enameled finish would prove incredibly durable. I am fairly certain the chips occurred during unpacking, so yes, they are "my fault." However, shouldn't an expensive appliance with decades of history have a finish that lasts as long as its internals do? I hope these chips are an aberration and the finish will prove durable overall. I'm planning on purchasing some enamel touch up paint to seal the chip on the mixer body, which should hopefully prevent further chipping there. All told, this mixer is an excellent investment that I'm excited to use for a long time to come. If you're looking to up your mixing game with a stand mixer I really don't think you can go wrong with the tried-and-true KitchenAid.

Versatile Mixer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly enjoyed this mixer and its versatility. The mixer has a very high quality feel to it. The motor and stand seem sturdy enough to last. The mixing bowl has a beautiful finish and the mixing attachments are very easy to hook on and interchange and the coating seems very durable . The included attachments and the variable speed produce amazing mixing results. The tilt head feature is very convenient for getting the bowl out and switching attachments easily. The bowl locks in and keeps it stable while in use. A HUGE PLUS is the attachment port at the front of the matching which allows for the addition of several different types of attachments based on your needs. I purchased a spiralizer and the ability to make zucchini noodles is amazing and EXTREMELY EASY! The only negative is the footprint, it does take upa decent amount of counterspace in footprint and in height. It does stick out when just sitting on the counter due to it's size. The other downside is the attachments seem a bit pricey considering most are single purposed, they do the one thing you need and that's it. I wish they sold a kit of several attachments and made them cost effective but i guess this keeps you from buying attachments you don't need. I do think they a re a little pricey tho but well worth it.

KitchenAid Mixers are a must-have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.KitchenAid stand mixers are a must-have item. They last forever and are easy to use and clean. There are separate attachments that slice, shred, grind, peel, core, roll/slice homemade pasta and even make ice cream. I’ve never purchased or used the attachments, but they look like they could be useful for someone who cooks a lot. This stand mixer is the Classic model as opposed to the Artisian model that I’ve used in the past. The differences I could see were the color options, the size of the bowl and the power. The Classic model comes with a 4.5 quart bowl (no handle) and the color choices are black or white. The Artisian model is more expensive, but has a lot of colors to choose from and comes with a larger bowl (5 qt) with a handle and has a more powerful motor. It also has a pouring shield to keep flour in the bowl. The shield can be purchased separately for the Classic model. The included beaters are the same on both models. The mixer fit under my kitchen cupboards and the tilt head made it easy to get the bowl on and off the stand. I found the bowl on the Classic model to be a little small. When I made a batch of rolls the flour wanted to fly out of the bowl and the dough started to creep up over the dough hook. I missed having the handle when carrying the bowl to and from the refrigerator. The instructions say that everything except the wisk attachment is top shelf dishwasher safe, but I found the bowl was too tall to put on the top shelf of my dishwasher. But it seemed to do OK in the lower rack. I did have a little trouble removing the beaters. My old Artisian had a spring where the beater attaches and the Classic does not. That may have made the difference. Also my rolls weren’t as light and fluffy when made with the Classic. It could be because the bowl was a too small to allow for adequate kneading, or it could’ve been the temperature and humidity of the room. The KitchenAid mixer is great for making cookies, cakes, bread or mashing potatoes. It is so much easier than mixing by hand or with a hand mixer. If you are a heavy mixer user, I would recommend the Artisian model because of the bigger bowl with handle and more powerful motor. But for most users, the Classic model will be all that is needed.
