Almost every time I pour a cup of coffee, I get a puddle on my counter from the dripping spout. We keep a pile of napkins close at hand.
And the thermal carafe does not keep the coffee hot for very long. After two hours, it is lukewarm.
I love everything about this coffeemaker.....if only it would perform as advertised.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Turned out to be a headache.
This KitchenAid Model: KCM112OB - 10-Cup Thermal Carafe Coffeemaker in my opinion is for the birds. Six months ago I bought this model – we thought – from the local store and it failed. I posted a complaint on KitchenAid Facebook and believe it or not they got back to me immediately. I told them I trouble and my model number and they said that has been discontinued. Since this coffeepot was still in warranty, they said sent them a scanned copy of the sales slip and telephone number, PM – private message – Facebook. Yes, they got back to me by telephone the next day and said that there was a new model on the way. Great. I received a new model in due time, but the new model is 1/2 inch taller [15 1/4 inches] than the old one and would not fit underneath my cabinets. Not good. Plus, the digital control menus and the Brew button does not work according to the instruction book. I am disgusted, I drug out my old simple Mr. Coffee that I had for 11 years. The reason I wanted to replace it was because the gadget that stops the coffee from dripping broke. But I found out that I can replace that part for less than $8 delivered. This KitchenAid coffeemaker is going to the Salvation Army – and it hurts to do this. $100 down the drain.
