The first problem is that the directions use metric measurements for the amount of coffee and water. There is a lot of experimentation involved. I have found it takes upwards of 36 hours to brew the coffee. The coffee has good flavor but it is a lot of work.

I normally make my own cold brew with some cheese cloth and a big pitcher and when I saw this thing I had to shake my head because it barely made a pot of coffee and the spout would poor very slowly and couldn't handle the coffee residue that made it through the metal strainer. Do yourself a favor and purchase a big 2 gallon ice tea mason jar (with spout) and some cheese cloth and use the savings to buy a coffee burr grinder for fresh tasting cold brew.

I'm very happy with my purchase and this will save me money for sure. I use to stop at Starbucks almost on a daily basis to grab an iced coffee. Now, I can make it at home for less! It last a couple days but it also depends on how much coffee you consume.
