I haven't used it yet, but it seems well made enough and the seed screen looks like it will do a good job on tomatoes and raspberries. I did not give a top review because this item is always shown with the required grinder and not as only an ad-on to the grinder. A bit misleading. I don't grind foods. There is a mention of the required grinder buried in the lengthy description so I will own that I missed it. KitchenAid is responsible for the photos not Best Buy. I wound up spending over $100 to get the both components which I may ultimately find some use for. Live and learn.

So I just went ahead and ordered the new food grinder attachment. Sad that I was sent a discontinued food grinder with my mixer. But I’ll just label it as a meat grinder only, and use the new one for all my attachments. Be aware that there is a new model and a discontinued FGA model grinder. I have NOT used the new stuff yet. I’m hoping to used for fruit jelly making, and when making tomato sauces, ketchup, and straining most everything. Looks well made. But I haven’t used it yet.

I needed a food mill to process my garden tomatoes and felt like this was just the thing. Well, it is, but ONLY if you purchase the other, $60 grinder WITH it. Which you have to REALLY search the description carefully with your extra magnifying glasses to find. Not impressed with that. If I wanted a meat grinder, I would have bought the meat grinder. I don't want the extra accessories filling up my kitchen. Not a happy customer today.
