Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anything better without taking a huge jump in price. So this one seems the best of a bad lot.

Finally a mixer with an actual LOW speed setting. This thing has all the power and speed settings that we could ask for. We will definitely be recommending this to our friends and family.
