Slow cookers made today are complete JUNK. The lid on this model does not fit the crock and does not form a seal. The out body feels like thick tin foil. I’m am very surprised that Kitchenaid would put their name on this piece of JUNK.

Ill-fitting lid made cooker unusable

This seems to be a common problem, and we did not want to take another chance with a replacement. We were even more disappointed because this model had been an ATK recommendation. At this point, our household will remain without a slow cooker. What a shame, and what an inconvenience

To much heat lost resulting in under cooked pinto beans. I even tried them on high for 10 hours & still the pinto beans where hard.

The metal edge of the lid does not fit the crock snugly; in fact, the lid rocks around on the top of the crock. There is no rubber or silicone seal around the metal edge of the lid. Crockpots work by SEALING moisture in during long, slow cooking. So this one is a total failure. Moisture escapes as steam. Food dries out.
