Love it thought it was glass but it's not. Works great.

Perfect t blender for home use, whether just using as a simple blender or making a shake or smoothie. This KitchenAid blender has enough power to meet your home use and cooking needs. My wife and kids love using this KitchenAid blender for making shakes and smoothies all the time at home. This blender has more than enough power to blend items without struggling to mix the ingredients thoroughly. While this isn't as nice as my current ninja blender and smoothie maker. It has no issues around the kitchen. It has small stainless steel accents which will help blend in with your other kitchen appliances if you have a stainless steel theme in there already. I've never had any issues with the KitchenAid name and have owned other appliances by them. This is easy to clean and you can put the containers on the top rack of your dishwasher for easy cleaning without any damage or issues. I've used this a few times myself to make frozen margaritas, and this blends the ice into a slush with ease. I definitely recommend this blender.

Works great, simple to use, one knob vs. 8 buttons. The 2 blender jars have been great for making personalized smoothies without having to do separate batches with different ingredients in the main blender container. Altho you do need a place to store them plus the separate blade attachment.

This is the best ice blender I have ever had. It is worth every penny. We use it every day to make blended espresso drinks and chops the ice extremely fast. If you are looking for a blender to chop ice efficiently then this is the one for you.

I've been using the same blender for a very long time. It has worked well enough, but I always struggled a bit with smoothies. It would get an air bubble in it when trying to purée. I'd have to turn it off and push everything down several times before I could get it to maintain a steady blending from the top down. When the opportunity to pick up a Kitchen Aid blender showed up, I jumped at the chance. I love my other Kitchen Aid appliances. They just work. They do exactly what they say they do, and they do it well. This blender is no exception. It's a very sturdy unit right out of the box. The base is heavy and stable as you'd expect from a Kitchen Aid product. The main blender container is plastic. I would have preferred glass for sustainability reasons, but considering the fact that I will probably pass this blender on to my kids someday, it's not a big deal. I went straight for the dreaded smoothie when trying to see what this thing can do. I followed the direction, which say to put in liquid, then soft solids like yogurt, then leafy stuff like spinach if you are into that sort of thing, and finally the frozen fruit. This blender has only 3 speeds and pulse. I like that. I mean, do you really need 12 speeds on a blender? I flipped it to 1. It did a nice job of chopping up the fruit, but it wouldn't suck everything down from the top. So I kicked it up to 2. That did it. It pulled the entire contents down from the top and blended it perfectly. Just for fun, I kicked it up to 3. Holy Cow!! That thing has enough power to be scary. I don't know when I'd need the 3rd speed, but it's nice to know that I have the ability to blend concrete if I even see the need. I suppose if you were trying to aerate a blended soup or something?? Anyway...no more stopping to push stuff down. This thing is a beast. I also made a single serve smoothie in the individual blending container. You can't follow the loading directions on the individual container because after you load it up, you screw the blade on the top and then turn it upside down to place it on the blender base. It didn't seem to matter. Just like the large container, 1 wasn't quite enough, but 2 pulled everything down and blended it up very well. Cleanup was easy. Just do it before it dries or the fruit seeds will glue themselves to the containers. Everything is dishwasher safe (except the base of course), so if you just hate washing by hand there's that. I just rinsed it immediately, filled it up, put a drop of dish liquid it in, and blended it clean. 45 seconds and it was done an clean. I like that it can handle hot liquids even though it is plastic. I do occasionally blend pumpkin soups and such. After seeing what this thing did with a smoothie, I'm looking for to some velvety smooth soups. My only complaints are really the plastic containers vs glass, and the fact that is is CRAZY loud and scary on level 3. Kitchen Aid appliances are generally loud on higher settings, so I wasn't surprised, but still, it's just so loud. But, that's really a small price to pay for a quality built appliance that will stand the test of time. I did knock one star off for these two things, but I have no problem recommending this to anyone looking as an ice crushing monster.

I always prefer kitchen aid for the quality but if you want more power buy the ninja but for quality buy kitchen aid

This was a gift and the recipient has not even opened it yet...smh, but based on the reviews it looks like a great buy.

This blender performs as advertised – it crushes ice in seconds, even on the lowest speed, it goes from ice to slush in a surprisingly short time. It does this task effortlessly, blended the ice into the rest of the ingredients seamlessly. Smoothies, milkshakes, coffee drinks, and other beverages can be prepared easily. I also used it for sauce with similar results. Put liquid on the bottom, softer ingredients next, solid items, then ice or frozen pieces and click the dial to the first speed, then up again for smoother results. You can click it down to crush the ice first, but it can still crush it and blend well without that step. I like that it has 3 speeds, but I didn’t need the third for anything I fixed. It does not come with a cookbook or suggestions for recipes, just the manual, which does include stacking instructions for ingredients. I found recipes online that I wanted to try, and I had no trouble making them in this blender. The blade does not detach from the jar, although it looks like with a tool you could remove it, but for regular use, you’ll end up washing the whole jar. The easiest way is to put warm soapy water in it (about a third to half full) and put it back on the base; turn it on the lowest setting, and it’ll clean the blade and inside of the jar. I use my sprayer to rinse, which gets the soap off as well as anything that was in the jar. I cleaned mine right away and nothing remained after that. The lid has a good snug fit, necessary for any blender, and sits securely on the base once you’ve attached it. The jar is plastic, but still thick enough that it feels like it will hold up for a long time, and that also makes it easier to lift and pour, since it’s not very heavy even when full. This version comes with the 48 oz jar, and two smaller jars for making individual drinks. After removing from the base, there are lids (one for each cup) to make it into a travel cup you can drink from. There is a different base with a blade to use with these smaller jars. The blender is mostly black (jars are clear), and the lids are black also. This is quite easy to use, just plug it in and get started. It does not have any kind of light to indicate it’s plugged in or in use, and no screen- but it’s a blender, with basic functions, and you can see when it has blended everything together. I’ve used blenders that don’t blend all the way through, and this one had no sections or pieces left that were not completely blended in. I had great results with this blender and can recommend it for home use.

The Kitchen-Aid K-150 is a stunning home appliance. It has a stylish, crisp/clean look and a sturdy metal base that stays in place during use. It's powerful, yet not too noisy and has 3-speeds plus a "quick" mix setting for a short burst of power. It comes with (2) 20 oz. blender jars, as well as the large "blender" container and all of them fit easily onto the base. Base has a rubber "gear" so nothing sharp is exposed - the sharp metal blades are in the container itself. Clean-up is simple making this an all-around great home appliance.

I’m EXTREMELY pleased with this blender! Like any other KitchenAid product, it looks and feels like it’s made with quality materials. The matte black looks great. It’s convenient that the parts are dishwasher-safe. The ice-crushing setting works great, as do the other 3 speeds. Even given it’s speed, it’s not obnoxiously loud. It’s relatively compact. It assembles / disassembles very quickly. I love that the individual blending cups come with ‘to-go’ style lids. It does pulverize ice very quickly when you turn it to the ice-crushing setting; it will crush ice in 10 seconds as advertised. If you need a ‘snow cone’ consistency, it is maybe about 20 seconds total. It makes frozen drinks very fast, and the ice chip size in the drink is all about the same size, so it’s easier to drink (you rarely get a ‘chunk’ of ice). It will power through milkshakes and the like. I’ve blended soup in it, and the results were very smooth in consistency. I’m a single father with two kids (11 & 15 years old), so for a quick, nutritious 'meal', smoothies are a way to get breakfast out of the way. The three of us are working / schooling from home and that equates to three people having to be at work / school at different times. There are days that are more rushed than others. We can take an individual blending cup and put in whatever ingredients we want the night before; when we get up, we grab our cup out of the refrigerator, make our smoothies, and boom! Breakfast is done. The blender is simple to use, so the kids can, if needed, blend their own smoothie. Each cup comes with a ‘to-go’ style lid with drinking hole. The only negative I have, and it is small, is that the blender does need extra time blending ingredients that are a bit fibrous; talking smoothies, using pineapple would take maybe 20 more seconds to blend because it’s stringy. Other than that, this blender works for 95% of the things I need it to. It’s just simple to use, and just ‘gets the job done’ very well.
