Purchased as a wedding gift for my sister. She loved it, used it right away. I love the glass bowl. I'm starting to prefer the tilt-head mixer, mine isn't.

Seriously though it does help in the kitchen, kind of like a power tool, but it becomes important to read the directions to know when things should be mixed by hand. Also there is a balance point for smaller recipes when you should also just mix by hand. I had a great time baking a 2-layer white cake with my daughter.

Durable and has a great look to it. Came with a variety of adaptors for many different recipes. We initially bought it to make fresh bread.

This is the second KitchenAid I have owned (just wanted a new color) and it works great. Love the clear mixing bowl and the attachments.

I have tried other stand mixers, not wanting to spend "all that money" for something I didn't know how much I would use. But after burning the motor up in another brands mixer kneading bread dough and purchasing another one that wasn't big enough and made a lot of noise...I decided to buy this fabulous mixer and I haven't looked back! It is perfect! It kneads bread dough like a pro...mixes cookies and cake batters like NO other! I actually use it more than I thought I would. Money well spent! Great mixer....you won't be sorry...
