Bought this bigger mixer, had a 4 quart before, for a bigger bowl for larger recipes. Great color. Matches our Onyx black coffee maker and toaster.

What can I say, it's a Kitchen Aide! Its fantastic, does exactly what its supposed to do, and thanks to a wicked sale at Best Buy I got it for less than you'd normally pay for the smaller mixers. Completely happy with my purchase and expecting to be making cakes, donuts, cookies, whipped cream, pasta and bread for a LONG time...not many things these days you can buy expecting to hand down to your children, and a Kitchen Aide is definitely still one of them.

There's a reason for which the brand is so used, it's PERFECT, we migrated from a smaller size Kitchenaid to the Professional and are extremely happy with our decision, it allows to do bigger batches, while still perfectly doing the job.

We got this for ourselves since it was on a huge markdown on sale, and was about the same price as the small, basic KitchenAid's. We also have it set up where we wouldn't have space to tilt up, so we love the bowl lift functionality. It has not had any trouble so far, however, we have only used it for cookie dough really and some other basic things. Haven't tried anything too heavy duty with it. Looks pretty and works well with no hiccups so far! It just takes some getting used to how to take the bowl off and put it back on, as it isn't as easy to use as the tilt head. One of the pegs the bowl latches on to came off, but looks like I can just set it back in place and it should still work fine. But doesn't stay quite as in there as the one on the other side. Should still work fine! Not sure if user error when I took the bowl off, or design error.

I owned one of these for several years up until recently. It was very durable and did everything I needed. It is still working well in my wife's new household. I needed a replacement as a result and I purchased one so I could continue to make the cinnamon bread I had made for years. As well as the other holiday fare which I have made over the years

It's bigger than it looks!! And stunning!, it didn't come with manual instructions!!, we are calling to ask for one.

Great mixer. Can't beat the price when on sale. Sturdy as kitchenaids always are and this one can do a lot of things. Make sure to increase the speed slowly to your desired speed and then back down to the slower speed before turning it off rather than just slamming it right in and out of top speeds. You'll save wear and tear on the parts this way, bigtime.

All I needed for my kitchen! Now I can mix the hot dough for empanadas, arepas, etc. No need to burn my hands mixing it.

Love the red color which fits nicely with my decor. The lift for the bowl gives room to add ingredients while using.

Compared to the mixers I grew up with mixer is effortless. Easy to use and I get excellent results, To top it off the mixer is built like a tank.

I bought this mixer to replace the Kitchenaid Artisan that I've had for a few years. The Artisan worked wonderfully except when I make bread dough. Somehow it hits the sides of the bowl and dislodges it. Apparently, it's a known problem and I gave up trying to fix it. The Pro 5 is much larger. The bowl is larger and the mixer is taller. It does not fit under my cabinets. However, it can handle stiffer dough so I can make homemade bread.
