We took it apart and cleaned it weekly and we also ran the clean cycles--the wand stopped giving us steam. The espresso maker did continue to work. Without the ability to froth the milk though, it wasn't worth keeping the machine. When it worked in the beginning, I was very pleased with it. Best Buy was very helpful with the return process and I usually have a great luck with KitchenAid products--so maybe we just got a dude.

Did I get my money’s worth of lattes? Absolutely! It was out of stock at my local store or else I would repurchase this unit. I doubt I’ll get it at the low deal of the day price of $160. A bargain and oh so tasty.

Takes a few tries to get the hang of it if you have never made espresso before but once you do it is definitely worth it.
